DDA Chapter 25

I had a chance to go with my DIL for another sonogram. First time I really got to see a good one. The Dr even took the time to blow up how he could see that it is a boy and he did mention the Turtle effect!!! :lmao:

He took a picture that he made larger just so we could all see that it really is a boy. He also did a 3-D picture and I have to admit that Pierson is just a cutie. Heather is scheduled for her c-section on July 22. Can't wait to meet this little guy.:goodvibes:goodvibes

YEAH!!! She's getting close!

Dad got moved out of IMC today to a regular room. So I took Olivia up to see him. They were both excited to see each other.

That is wonderful :goodvibes

I don't think I had mentioned the other big surprise in our family...

ERIN is pregnant too! She'd due Dec 8. Totally unexpected for her and she was almost 3 months by the time she found out as her cycle is always sporadic anyway. The big wrench is that Chick Fil A is hoping to open a new store nearby in Nov, her boss is poised to take that store and she's applying to take over her store. Well, with a Dec 8 due date, that might not be easy with a Nov opening. However, there's a good chance the opening won't happen until spring in which case she would be good. It's definitely taking her some time to get used to the whole baby thing. All of that on top of the fact that she wasn't sure she wanted kids to begin with - Kaylin was God disagreeing with her though she's happy about it now - and that she didn't want more than one because of the questions of Brendan's health. I think she's starting to come around and I know she'll be happy by the time the baby comes, but it's been a tough adjustment for her. Her store's buisness consultant, who will also have a big voice in Erin's store application, seems to be behind her regardless and has talked to Erin about all of the stuff she wants her to be working on in preparation for the application so hopefully it will all go smoothly.

Also, I don't remember if I ever updated about my Dad. There are two spots of cancer in the prostate, but from the way it looks they're sure it hasn't gone elsewhere. He's been in the whole debate about how to handle it and I think he's settles on the surgery. He did work out his return mission trip to Ukraine in June so he'll do the surgery after he returns July 5. The whole "self-employed thus doesn't get paid if he doesn't work" thing has them a little worried on the money side, but faithful that it will all work out. My grandma is already giving him the equivalent of his missed work as her contribution to the mission trip so it will just be the surgery recovery weeks that will be the tough ones. Thanks for your continued prayers everyone!

Congrats to Erin :goodvibes

Jennifer Huge Congratulations to you :goodvibes:woohoo:

Terri a 3D ultrasound sounds amazing. And he'll be here very soon.

My life seems to always be busy, but I check in here every day religiously.

Nick is on a date  She seems like a nice girl. She came to his game last night then they went for ice cream with her Dad. They are planning to see Shrek tomorrow. All this, but she is not his "girl friend" they are still getting to know one another :lmao:

We're watching Avatar. It is a bit confusing since I've only given it 1/2 my attention.

Got your mind on something else? Like a young man out on a date? :confused3 :rotfl2: :sad1:

No, I was catching up on here and searching for Sandals for the boys for the trip.

Chuck says Avatar was really a good show. The girls got it for him on his 50th birthday a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen it yet. They watched it while I was in Lansing.

We are now watching the Blindside and it is just as good as all the reviews. Chris and Colby and I are hooked.

Congratulations Jennifer!

Debbie-good luck with deciding when to go back to work.

Heidi-congratulations Auntie!

My SIL & I took Lizzy birthday shopping yesterday. Lizzy had a wonderful time being spoiled by her aunt. We went to PF Changs-had never been before-it was great.

Today I have get the camping stuff out. Next weekend I'm going camping with Lizzy girl scout troop. We're going to a girl scout camp with platform tents but I need to get out my camp stove & lantern and make sure they work and I know how to use them as it has been over 10 years since I've used them.

I took yesterday off. I spent the morning putting away their winter clothes and getting out the summer ones-now I have to wash all the summer stuff and sort out what doesn't fit.

Good Morning

For those of you attending Deb's BBQ, anyone have any beverage requests?

So far we have,

Diet Pepsi
Green Tea with Citrus
Water

I will be 29 weeks, I would have been 32 weeks if we went Dec. 5th like we originally had planned. I don't want the girls especeally Olivia to resent the baby that's why we are still doing the trip just a few weeks earlier. I hope you have fun camping. :bday:party::cake: Happy Birthday Lizzy, I hope you have a great day.

Tia, I like the idea that you are going to let Terra make the baby a blanket. I think I will see if Olivia wants to make the baby one once we tell them and find out if its a boy or girl. The bad thing is I got rid of all the baby stuff. So I literally have to start over, with baby clothes and baby gear.:scared1::eek:
