DDA Chapter 25

Olivia does not like corn yet. Have tried it on her several times but nothing.

Terra loves it, but especially on the cob. She was very disappointed last year when the wiggly teeth started to hurt too much to bite it off the cob. I just had to cut it off.

And now I'm realizing just how "past my bedtime" it has become. Oops! I think I get so wrapped up in the peacefulness of just hanging with Terra and being on the computer that I forget what time it is.

I'm down the little one tomorrow and Monday and both babies on Monday. Tomorrow brings all of Kristi's kids, though. However, outside of the whole "help me clean the playroom" part, the big kids will entertain themselves.

Tia how is the house hunt coming?

It's not, once again. I keep trying not to think about it because then I just get sad and/or frustrated. But last we were told was "hopefully before the baby comes."

bummer, hopefully it does happen before the baby comes.

I was noticing today that I think that this particular chapter has lastest the longest ever....real life has gotten in the way for so many of us. But that's the best part of this place...it's always here and so is the family whenever we need them.

Good morning. :)

Jennifer - I'm happy to hear that your dad was moved!

I'm so not looking forward to the traffic that this holiday weekend will bring tonight. It's going to take me forever to get home from work.

Tonight is Riley's 8th grade recognition. I am feeling sorta sad today as now both my babies(yep I will always consider them my babies)will be in High School. Riley is definetly having a growth spurt & somehow became as tall as me & he is voice is changing big time! I keep telling him I am going to put books on his head so he will not grow anymore :rotfl: I don't know just seems life is happening to fast anymore.

Garrett has a steady girlfriend now & she is really sweet. She lives in another town, so basically they only see each other on weekends, but chat online & on the phone constantly lol

School will be out next week, let the summer fun begin!

They do grow up awfully fast, don't they? Congratulations to Riley on heading to the high school!

A friend and I were talking yesterday. We are so ready for school to be done, but then we need the summer to go very, very slowly, since we'll have seniors next year. It feels like I just got my head wrapped around Matthew being out of high school, and a year from now Laura will be almost done, too. Another year of lasts, but then a lot of firsts, too.

I am so not ready for all of this...(kids getting older, dating etc) :sad2:

It does go by so fast...feels like such a short time ago I had 3 kids in strollers. Could someone stop pressing the "fast forward" button???? :rotfl2:

And potentially find us a slow motion button at least for some days!

I'm spent. More arguing over shirts this morning which was eventually ironed out. I waited all day for the oil man to come to clean our furnace and he didn't arrive until 4 PM. Of course Hunter and Amy had a miscommunication and He wound up missing the bus and a ride with her. I had to run to school to get him just as the oil man was supposed to arrive. I told Chris that I'm at the breaking point, something has got to give soon.

 I hope that things slow down for you soon!

Speaking of kids growing up too fast...........Alyssa and one of her classmates, a boy, started hanging around each other all morning on the field trip. We went to a picnic facility for lunch, and they sat at a picnic table all by themselves and ate. Then they wanted to sit together on the bus for the ride back to school. Tonight while I was cooking dinner, guess who called to talk to Alyssa?! Alyssa told me later that while they were sitting together talking he made her "feel really comfortable, like she could trust him", so she told him she liked him. :faint: I remember doing things like this in 7th or 8th grade, but not 2nd!!!! And who decided kids need to learn their phone number?!?!?! :headache:

Second grade?! Yikes! At least it's all sweet and innocent at that age.

Beth-I bought these insoles on the recommendation of the podiatrist.

http://www.rei.com/product/724381

The cashier said he had plantar fasciitis and said these were great for him.

I have to say they don't look like much and I guess I can't say how much my improvement in my foot today is due to the insoles and how much is due to the drugs but they really do seem to be helping me.

The description says they are good for shoes without removable inserts but I'm using them in my sneakers in place of the inserts that came with the shoes and they are working fine.

Thanks! I'll look for them. I spent the day in my Teva sandals yesterday and don't feel too bad, though I didn't do a lot of walking. I need to pick my Disney shoes soon so that I have time to get some good long walks in with them.

happy almost friday..i acnnot wait til tomorrow is over..We are having our annual spring parade that the whole school participates in..its a lot of fun, but a lot of work..im exhausted thinking about it :)

Have a great parade! I know that those special events take a lot of work, so I hope that it's all appreciated for you.
