Hi Jennifer, The girls are just so cute I wanna pinch their cheeks. I sure wish you were still going to be on the cruise, but it looks like things are picking up for you and Kyle.

Jennifer, the girls are adorable! I actually loved 2, but then again I think I've loved every age with the possible exception of 19. :rotfl: My oldest cried when he turned 3 saying, "I'll never be 2 again." (And I didn't say anything of the sort, so he didn't get it from me.)

That's too funny! It's hilarious what sorts of things they come up with!

I really do too. :guilty: I know you're going to have a wonderful time!!

Deb-sorry to hear about Colby's Scarlet Fever. Hope he's not too itchy!:wizard: Hope the bill isn't too bad. I was expecting a huge copayment when I went to the ER with Emma but I didn't get hit with it. I think maybe because I was at the Drs office first and they ordered it but I'm not sure it that was why.

Debbie-So sorry to hear your shoulder is worse than expected. Hope they can schedule surgery soon and you'll get some relief soon!!!:wizard:

Terry-happy to hear you're finding some relief from your Vertigo. Hope your soon 100% better!!!:wizard:

Jen-hope you can find a way to keep all teachers!!!!:wizard:

Joe is doing much better today. He's been able to keep everything down today.

Bernadette - I am glad Joe is feeling better!

I missed that Laura was going to take the Life Guarding Test today. It really isn't bad. I'm glad that she passes :thumbsup2

Good Morning,

As you can I tell I'm having a hard time sleeping.

Here on the coast the big concern is the oil spill, they are already blocking off the beach parking to try and keep people away, my daughters are going to training today to help with the clean up. The seadfood industry is expected to be impacted for years to come.

The first "wave" of pink slips went out on Thursday--Thankfully, I did not get one, but I am not "in the clear"--We can apparently find out until June 30--so its going to be a long couple of months. There are some meetings coming up to talk about ways we can save these teachers' jobs. I am close to those at our school that got slips so I want to do what I can to help save them!
I'm glad to hear that you are still hanging on.

Jennifer! It's good to see you and the girls back here! Your girls are adorable, but you already know that. ;) I have a very similar picture of Alyssa when she was about the same age. I'll have to see if I can dig it out. Congratulations to Kyle (and you) on the job and the end of residency. I'm happy to hear that you are going to try for another baby. I hope you are blessed with another!

You all on the gulf coast really need a break. :wizard:

Bernadette - I'm glad to hear that Joe is feeling better. Hopefully whatever it was doesn't make the rounds through your household.

Beth - congrats to Laura for passing the LG test!

As for the appointment it was to finally go over the results of the MRI, it seems there is a bigger problem than he initially thought. Along with the scar tissue (frozen shoulder) I have significant arthritis, to the point that I have some bone on bone where the cartilage is completely gone. He is still going to remove scar tissue, manipulate the arm and also clean out the debris from the arthritis. The goal is to alleviate the pain, and regain as much motion as possible, but he doesn't think I will ever completely get it back. I made it clear again today that I have to be travel ready by July.

I won't know the surgery date until next week, because of my sleep apnea he wants to clear it with the anesthesiologist (sp?) for the surgery to be done at the surgery center, if he doesn't think it's a good idea I will have to go to the hospital to have it done.

I'm sorry that things looked worse than you all thought. I hope the surgery is scheduled quickly and you're doing better soon!

Hi Ya'll,

Long post but happy results!!! :goodvibes

After suffering two weeks from Vertigo, I am feeling about 99% better tonight. I had called the Dr. on Monday and he gave me some information to check on the web for some exercises. He also did mention that there is a center that helps with the dizziness and if I wasn't feeling better in a few days, we could consider that. I called back yesterday and my information was given to the center and they called today and I was set up with an appointment for next Wednesday. But I told her that if there was any cancellations to call me and I could make it in since I wasn't working. Well as luck was in my corner, she called back and there was an opening for today. When the therapist started asking me questions and explaining how the inner ear works and the dizziness affects one, I felt such a relief. I was feeling all those symptoms and I knew I was going to be helped. Then we did a few exercises to find out where my problems was. She then had me put these big goggles on and I could not see but there was a little camera inside that could see my eyes. She had me lay down and the world started spinning but I had to keep my eyes open. That was hard. Then she sorta jiggled my head and tapping on a few places. After that, I rested and we did it all again. She feels that she was able to manipulate the crystals and I should be feeing much better. I have to admit that driving home I was already feeling much better. I did take a nap this afternoon cause she did say I would be very sleepy. For the next few days I have to sleep on just my left side and by next Friday, I will go back in and she hopes this visit helped me so I don't need another treatment. :cool1:

Yes I am a little miffed that the Dr didn't mention this sooner even though I know they usually like to treat with medicine first. If I hadn't seen my sisters post to me about manipulations and crystals, I would have not known to ask more questions and get more help.

I'm glad that you may have found relief!!! I hope this does the trick.

The Doctor on Call finally called back after I made a second phone call. He insisted that Colby be seen tonight in the ER even though I thought that tomorrow would be fine. So we brought him and sure enough he has scarlet fever. They gave him a dose of penicillan and sent him home with a prescription. I wonder how many thousands of dollars that visit will cost? And we found out that scarlet fever would eventually go away on it's own. Colby was saying that he feels fine other than the rash. Oh well, we know what it is and he is treated.

No fun! I hope today is a bette day and Colby is feeling better.

Hello, old friends! :goodvibes: I've heard from a few of you recently and wanted to pop in and say hello, and provide a bit of an update on our family. Elise and Avery are rotten about 85% of the time, so I simply don't spend much time online these days unless it's something I can do remotely like email or facebook. It's too dangerous to be on the computer for any length of time :rotfl: (No, but seriously - they keep me busy, and when they aren't I'm keeping all three of us busy running around!)

Somehow, the girls will be turning two already in about 6 weeks. I don't really approve of this, but have little say in the matter  They're still little peanuts, but with a shrimpy mama I'm not surprised. They're just about smarter than I am though, and they never, EVER stop talking. They're obsessed with all things Disney (:confused3). They're day-time potty trained. They're mean as snot or as sweet as can be, with no in-between. (I kind of hate this age, truth be told... but sure do love them!). I think that about sums it up! :cutie::cutie:

I'm part of the leadership/worship teams at our new church and LOVE it. The crowd is younger and passionate about what they do, the amount of musical talent there blows my mind, and our family has been able to get involved and grow there in a year more than we ever did elsewhere. I am also still serving on the board of our 200-family mothers of twins club, but am taking a step back from VP to Community Service Something or Other (clearly not the official title ;)) this summer, mainly because I'd rather have another baby in the next year (God-willing) than, well, anything else. :)

Kyle is so close to the end of his residency that we can practically taste it. His last day is June 29th, though true to form he has the worst possible shift that day and will actually be working until 4am on 6/30. And then he starts his new job bright and early the next day. We're so pumped about this job though, because after 18+ months of the strangest roller coaster ride imaginable, he's going to be part of a practice with two of the best doctors in town, where he's wanted to be (and they've wanted him to be) for the last few years. It's local, too, so we'll be staying in town - though hoping to move to a different suburb in the next year or so.

So apparently it takes a novel to even remotely catch up on what we've been doing, and still I hardly got into anything!

I think of you all often, get some updates from Amy on occasion and really enjoy keeping in touch with some of you on FB or via email. I would love to hear what everyone is up to... please find me and say hello if you feel so inclined! :wizard:

YEAH for the new job!!! I'm glad that it is all working out. The girls are just too cute, but with only one that age running around here causing so much trouble, I can only imagine your day.

Glad things are good so far, but our prayers will continue that it stays that way.

Enjoy your trip to Syracuse!

Good Morning

It is warm and overcast here. I'm hoping to start power washing the house today, but first I need to vacuum through the inside. Colby seems to be feeling better, the rash looks better. He is only complaining about the corners of his mouth which are so chapped they bleed. Minor stuff compared to how bad it could have got.

Poor little guy! Hope he is feeling better soon.

We had another busy day. Chris worked on wood this morning and I torn apart the entry and cleaned the boot trays and shoe wardrobe. It looks much better and less cluttered. I do need to shampoo the rug. Once Chris got home we sat outside for a bit and enjoyed the day. I did install our air conditioner as it was 90 degrees. How can we have snow on Tuesday and 90 degrees on Saturday. It is mind boggling.
