Good thoughts for Bill and Jennifer's Dad. Lots of scary things going on with the DDA loved ones!

Debbie - I am glad you and Richie are feeling a little better. Good luck tomorrow.

Tia - I am sorry you have a large car repair bill facing you.

Jen - I hope there is no pink slip in your future. There are lots of teachers in our area who have already lost their jobs. :(

So I guess I get to shell out mega bucks to get my car ready for new license plates. YUCK!!! Looks like it may be as much as $1500. The Meineke guy is going to look at a few things the Firestone guys wasn't passing on the safety side - namely the windshield crack. The same crack passed the last inspection so Meineke is going to see what they think of it. Either way, it's not pretty. :( :scared::scared1::sad: I guess I should take heart in knowing that it was coming, but it still hurts. :headache:

Can you claim the windshield crack on your insurance??? I know here depending on your plan they will fix or repair it under the insurance. Good luck.

Sending good thoughts to Bill and Jennifer's dad.:wizard:

Jen- Hope you don't get a pink slip. Lots of schools around here need to cut budgets millions of dollars. It is scary, I feel bad for the kids who are losing sports, music, full day kindergarten, and just regular teachers and the teachers that are losing there jobs.

:wizard::wizard:To all of the DDA and Families as there are so many medical issues happen.

Colby got sick during school today so I had to find a sub to take over for the little boy that I was with to bring him home. He has a sore throat and tummy ache and is running a fever. I arranged coverage for myself for tomorrow as he isn't supposed to return to school until he's been fever free for 24 hours.

I didn't think about that because the crack is over two years ago and predates my ownership of the car. Might be worth a try though if all of the other charges are holding true.

I got all of Joe movies backed up on the new hard drive & DVDs as well and DVD movies made for him. I still need to reformat his memory sticks.

Got all my photos backed up but I have 2 hard drives for back ups on the Mac and one came unplugged so I need to sift through the sea of wires and get that plugged back in.

I cleaned up the laptop so I have over 40GB of space on that now.

I got new movies and music added to my iPod.

I got the tracfone activated and found a code online that got me an extra 20 minutes and it looks like and extra 60 days of service too. So it is good til 9/26/10.

Still need to charge camera batteries and reformat lots of memory.

I'm glad I didn't wait til the last minute to take care of all this electronic stuff as it takes a TON of time!

Captain EO returns to Epcot on July 2.

Cool. Will that be replacing Ellen's Adventure?

Colby is home today with a sore throat. He was up 3 hours during the night last night.

We did get snow. It snowed all day, but it all melted as it landed. It certainly was a cold damp day. It snowed Tuesday night too during Nick's Lacrosse game. Rain, snow, wind and cold, not a fun night. The boys won though :cool1:

Hi, everyone. I haven't been around much, as the last week has been crazy!

DH's nephew graduated from college last Friday. That meant that his mom (Alan' sister) and her husband came up from Texas to see him walk. I haven't seen Penny for 13 years, so it was great to see her again. We went out to dinner on Thursday night, lunch on Friday afternoon, girls night out on Friday night, Texas style BBQ Saturday night, and a farewell party on Sunday afternoon. It was a lot of family activities crammed into a few days, but it was so fun to see them again! This was the first time Penny has seen any of our kids, so it was nice to get them all acquainted.

All that family time was time away from my studies, so I've been burying my head in the books for the last couple of days. Now, however, I have to start getting ready for a whirlwind trip to Vancouver/Seattle with Alan. He has to cover a story for the station, and since our anniversary is coming up, he offered to take me, and spend a couple of extra days in Seattle to celebrate our anniversary (our actual anniversary is May 26, but that's when we'll be knee deep in getting ready for our family California trip). I'm excited about going. We leave at 4:00 tomorrow morning, and come home late Tuesday night.

Tia - My dad had prostate cancer years ago and had it removed. Everything was fine until a few months ago, when they found that there were traces of the cancer in the area where the prostate used to be. Now, every 4 months, dad has a shot that contains it in the one area, and it doesn't spread. So far, so good, but the shot does alter his personality for a couple of day afterward.

Jennifer - I'm keeping your dad in my prayers. I hope that he feels well soon.

Kristine - Bill is in my prayers, as well. Kidney stones are no fun, and stones large enough to block the tubes are horrible!

Debbie - I hope your shoulder issues resolve soon, and that you feel ok with the decisions you are making.

Deb - Sorry about having to work on Mother's Day. Alan doesn't let me lift a finger on Mother's Day, so I know that the day after, I'll have a horrible house to clean, but at least for one day I get to stay in bed all day, and do nothing!

Tammi - Good luck to your dad's job application. How cool would that be?

Elin - I can't wait to hear about your trip! I'm glad you had a good time.

Alan and I have decided to do the WDW half marathon again! Actually, Alan wants to do the full, and I'm going to do the half. Alan talked for a while about doing both, but I told him that was really nuts! He's not in that great shape, yet!

Have a good day, and a wonderful rest of the week/weekend! See y'all on Wednesday.

I'm back from school. I took cupcakes over for Alyssa's lunch to celebrate her birthday. Tomorrow is her actual birthday, but I have to work so she was able to celebrate it today. She will also be with her dad this weekend, so we had her party on Sunday. It was at Young Chef's Academy, where they made "Lotsa Pasta". They actually MADE the pasta, from scratch. All the kids had a great time, and it was no muss no fuss for me. :teeth:

Now I have an hour to myself with nothing pressing that HAS to be done. I can't remember the last time that happened.

While I have the internet for a smidge and no desire to get back to packing (LOOOOOONG story) I thought I'd catch up here.

Hugs all around.

We will be out of the house this Saturday...I am not too heartbroken over it as it seems to be just a house...not a home. The girls and I are staying with a friend. Jim will be at my grandparents.

My sister will be coming and picking Cassidy up to live with her Labor Day weekend and Abi and I have decided that we need a complete fresh start...so we will be moving to Maryland. Jim just spent an hour arguing with me that kids need a two parent household:rotfl2: and this move isn't in Abi's best interest

I am walking on my ankle...kind of...but the icky weather we have and the packing has made it ache terribly.

Wow, you've made some life altering decisions. I hope this is the new start that you all need  May I ask why you chose Maryland?
