I'm home for the rest of the week. Needed to be here for Becky today. Chuck's 50th birthday is tomorrow. I needed a mental break. This should be a great week. Hopefully, the nice weather will hold.

Early Birthday Wishes for Chuck!

I'll be 49 next week. I think that might tougher for me than 50.

So I have a combined meeting of both my Girl Scout troops today. Wonder what I was thinking when I thought it would be a good idea to have all 23 girls together? We have to do our bridging activities for Daisies so I figured this was the best way. Hope it works out! Gotta love the end of the year crunch.

We did have a great time, thank you all! I need to find time to upload all my photos and put them together in some kind of order that makes sense. We didn't get to do everything (including the Wishes Dessert Buffet and fireworks and Spectro) but we did LOTS and would go together again in a heartbeat. That made me very happy.

I'm going to stop and buy a 500GB portable hard drive on the way home at Staples. They have one that gets good reviews on sale and I have a $12 reward check from them.

Then I can make backups of Joe's movies and clean up my laptop to get it ready for the trip. Then I can reformat all the memory.

On a sadder note: Kristine just posted on facebook that she is in the hospital ER with Bill because he is passing blood. Good thoughts winging their way from all I hope.

Update on Bill:

Bill update...he had 2 large stones completely blocking all urine production. Because of the blockage his sugar leveled skyrocketed. They pumped him full of insulin and performed emergency surgery. They could only remove one stone and they inserted a stent on the other side. He is still in the hospital....let's see what today brings. Thanks for all the well wishes...it's greatly appreciated!!

Slow day for the DDA, huh? Or I guess very busy day!

I went to lunch with a friend, and we stayed much longer than I was planning, but it was great. I think they were trying to throw us out by the end, but there were still other people there, so it wasn't just us.

I just had a message from Jennifer. They were doing a repeat lung biposy on her dad today and the lung they were working on collapsed. He is currently awake and talking, but they do have a tube in his chest to help.

I'll let everyone know if I hear anything else.

Goodness there's a lot of illness around here lately,

Good thoughts for Bill and Jennifer's dad

DH and I were both hit by a stomach virus, he started about 9:30 Monday evening and I followed soon after. We spent the better part of the next 36 hours in bed, hardly able to move, we both have missed two days of work, but have to return tomorrow regardless, we're up and about a little now and have managed to keep a little something down. This is the first time n our almost 25 years of marriage that we "shared" an illness, it's a good thing we have more than one bathroom.

So I guess I get to shell out mega bucks to get my car ready for new license plates. YUCK!!! Looks like it may be as much as $1500. The Meineke guy is going to look at a few things the Firestone guys wasn't passing on the safety side - namely the windshield crack. The same crack passed the last inspection so Meineke is going to see what they think of it. Either way, it's not pretty. I guess I should take heart in knowing that it was coming, but it still hurts.

Im so ready for this week to be over--i should know by Friday if I will be getting a pink slip so everyoen is on edge at work waiting to hear.

On the bright side, one of my friends put on facebook he was selling tickets to a phillies game this weekend at face value--i just bought 4 tickets! im so excited!
