Only the person that created the thread can keep it updated so I can understand why a new one had to be created. I was also a little sad when they removed ours and added the other but I understand why it would need to happen. As long as they leave our thread alone and let us stay in our little corner of the world, I'll be happy.

I promise not to let anyone mess with your thread. They" meaning me will have to close it at 250 so you can start a new one, but that's old hat to you by now. Again, this thread moves way too quickly for me. Aso, we didn't send a mass email out, I don't know how to do that. I posted a thread asking for voulunteers to keep it up. Thanks for understanding. Good morning, DDA! A lovely quiet morning here. I would have preferred not to be up at 7am, but my body had other ideas. It did give me a whole hour before ever hearing another sound in the house. Plus, it's week two of Phil's theory that I should have Sunday mornings to myself! Just waiting for them to get up and then deciding what I'm going to go do. Since no other kids are expected until midafternoon, I may try to sneak in a movie. Otherwise, maybe just breakfast and a book or coffee and the bookstore or....

DH went to church this morning by himself so we could let the kids sleep in a bit. Joe asked me to make him "Goofy toast" like he had at Kona last July. It is an egg fried in a hole of a slice of bread. I can't remember what shape the hole was at Kona-probably Mickey but my Mickey pancake/egg mold was too big for the bread so I used a heart. Joe seemed to really enjoy it. I'll have to get some bigger bread so I can use Mickey next time.

When DH got home I showed him the boat schedule for my trip in 2 1/2 weeks. He has agreed that the best way to go is for him to drive Joe & I to the 6:05am boat. That will get us to the airport at 6:20am but then we need to catch a shuttle bus to the terminal and our terminal is the 6th stop on that route. Our flight isn't until 9:20 but the next boat doesn't get to the airport til 7:55am. The real break through today is that DH has agreed that Lizzy who will be 2 weeks shy of 11 is old enough to stay home alone with Emma so that we don't have to drag them out of bed too. A few weeks ago he was totally against it but today it was his idea.

The kids did a really great job cleaning the family room yesterday!!!! Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the stuff they don't want.

DH just brought the kids to see his Mom so hopefully I can get a few things done in the nice quite house.

We currently have analog cable tv but I got the new digital cable boxes-we never had any boxes. I have to set those up. I've got one done but need some help moving the TV to so the one in the family room. Then I have to call the cable company to switch us over to digital cable. We've lost the Disney channel, travel channel, food network, and a few others. We'll continue to loose channels until we get the new boxes set up.

I set up a new UPS-battery backup surge protector- set up this morning. I think my old one failed when I lost my old Mac.

I really need to get the software for Joe's camcorder set up on my Mac so I can erase his memory sticks before our trip. I need to set it up on my laptop too so I can make backups at Disney is I need too also.

I think I might start packing!!! Its really too cold to wear too much here anyways so I might as well. I was going to make Joe a T but I've decided to not put the pressure on myself with that. He's got more than enough from prior trips so we'll have a great trip without new clothes.

Guess I should go get some stuff done while I have a quiet house!

Bernadette - Hope you got some stuff done. Sounds like you've been working hard and were on your way to making some good headway today.

I had a great morning and took myself to breakfast. We have a new "homestyle cooking" restaurant nearby so I thought I'd give it a try. It was SO good. The best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long time. The price was comparable to IHOP with better food and incredibly fast service. I've already promised to take Terra there for brunch next weekend after I get back from my camping trip.

The rest of the day I took a nap, watched some TV, took Rachel to Target and then Terra and I went to Chevy's with some friends for one's 60th birthday. Now we're just chilling out a little playing on computer/Wii and axiously awaiting bedtime. Okay, that part might only be me, but still...

So I went to Home Depot tonight and got some Basil, Oregano, Parsley and Cilantro to plant in our garden. We all ready have lettuce, beans, corn, okra, peppers, onions, tomatoes, strawberries and watermelon. Trying potatoes as well.

So tomorrow at 1:00 pm CST dad is having fluid drained off his lungs again. He is real short of breath right now and has bumped his Oxygen up to 4 liters. Not sure when they are doing the biopsy. Wish they could do both tomorrow.

Janet and Chanon which hotel are you staying at in Dec? I realized the other day that Pop Warner is happening the week we are their. So am reconsidering which hotel we stay at.

I had a great day. Chris and the boys let me sleep in until 11 I brought the boys bowling for about an hour and spent the rest of the day relaxing and reading Kingdom Keepers III. What a great book. I couldn't put it down. It left room for another book to come

I had a great week-end. My favorite cousin was here. She helped me decorate my apartment. I went for a relaxing beach theme. It looks pretty cool. She was appalled by my bare walls. She is the cousin that did my landscaping at the house. She is very artistic (so much unlike me). Our moms are sisters. We spent a lot of time together growing up.

Her son also lives in Lansing. I knew he must be close. He is exactly 2.69 miles from my apartment. He is 26 and a very independent individual. He is one of my girls favorite cousins. They spent a lot of time together with my mom & Aunt Lola when they were growing up. I love him dearly but didn't want to interfere with his life. He invited me to go to Sunday morning breakfast with him sometime in a nearby restaurant. I'm hoping that we'll see more of each other now.

I'll post some pictures eventually of the apartment and Disney. I'm working on getting my Disney pictures on Facebook. I'll get some on photobucket after that so I can post here. However, my family and other friends are waiting for the Disney pictures so I need to get them on Facebook first.
