Vicki - Glad you found the water issue and there wasn't too much damage.

Deb - Sounds like a nice day. Colby is too cute! I can just picture it though as I'm sure it was much like my taking Terra shopping for an Easter/dance recital (Daddy-Daughter dance at the end of the recital) dress. She was cracking me up the whole time as she debated each dress she tried on.

Vicki - We had almost the same thing happen! But this water was in our laundry room. I hope it is an easy fix for both of us!

Deb - sounds like a good day, overall.

Vicki and Elin good luck to both of you on water issues :wizard::wizard::wizard:

Bernadette - I just got a chance to look at all of the pictures. What a great trip!!! It looks like Emma had a wonderful time. Great pictures too!

Elin - Sorry for your water problems too.

Vicki - I remember having that problem in a townhouse 20 yrs ago. What a mess. I'm glad yours wasn't terribly bad. I love lilac bushes. Sounds like it was a lot of work though.

Good morning. :)

Today is myBob's bday. After lunch we are going to see the spring ballet, Cinderella, that Alyssa's dance studio is putting on, then I'll take him out to dinner. He is in the mood for steak, so I'm thinking we'll be going to Outback.

Happy Birthday to yourBob! I may be at the ballet too... depends on a few other things that need to get done first.

If you are still pondering a spot for dinner, might I recommend Lone Star Steakhouse out at Massponax? We had a fabulous meal there a few weeks ago.

Happy Birthday Bob:

Hi,

I hope you are all doing well. I have been busy as usual. Since Wednesday I have not had my car. My key would not go in the ignition, so I had my car towed to the dealer. The ignition tumbler, the place where the key goes went bad. The car is still sitting there as I we are waiting on the new part which will take 7-10 days to get to the dealer. they can not move except by towing it until that part is replaced as the steering and transmission is locked. They will fix my car in the parking lot as th My car is 800 miles out of warranty but they are going to cover it under the warranty.

I have been reading along. I am sending good thoughts to all of you.

Tammi - Happy birthday to Bob! Outback or Lonestar...oh tough choice. I do love Outback, but Lonestar's baked sweet potatoes are so good too. Enjoy your day!

Becky - I'm glad their fixing it under warranty at least. Still, though, what a pain! I hope the part comes sooner rather than later.

Heidi - Very cool!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'll share them with him when he gets here.

For whatever reason, he doesn't care for Lone Star. And we ALWAYS go to Logan's, so I'm thinking it's going to be an Outback day. There is a really nice local restaurant, The Log Cabin, but I think that will get really pricey with 5 of us. He is also getting a Goofy tshirt that we picked up in January (from the kids), and I got him a cookbook. The man cannot prepare anything unless it is out of a box or bag. This book has pictures of every meal, have few ingredients, and are 30 minutes or less. He really needs to start eating healthier.

I'll keep me eye out for you Elin.

I'm glad they are going to fix it under warranty. That doesn't sound like a common problem.

I will be curious to see where you end up for dinner. I decided to skip the ballet and went to Potomac Point Winery instead! :rotfl2:

Becky - I am glad they are going to cover your car under warranty... sounds like a very uncommon problem to me!!

One good thing about being unemployed is I can cook for Hal every day. Loving watching Rachel Ray and getting some great recipes. Last night Spring Chicken Meat Sauce and pasta. Tonight was pasta with Pancetta and Peas. Her version of BLTs with pasta coming up!!!! YUM!!!!!

Yes, I know, I am getting antsy and kinda going a little crazy. :lmao::lmao:

But once in a while, I know that if I am having a bad day with my back or having a migraine, he will gladly step in and cook something for me. He is one that after over 40 years, I will definately keep. :goodvibes
