I just had a message from Jennifer...

After 35 days in the hospital, her dad is going home today!

Just got home from Target awhile ago..why does everything have to be so complicated? I wanted to buy a white quilted coverlet for my bed. They had the Shabby Chic ones with the pillow shams for $109. (Reg $149) Ok so I find the very last king one they had (we have a queen bed but queen comfortors look short on my bed) anyway the signs says "King $78"...cool! So I get some more things including ice cream for the kids. The girl rings it up & it says $109.....:confused3 So I tell her that the sign says $78...she kept repeating "but this is a King" so it couldn't be on sale for that price. They send 2 people in the back of the store but no one could find the display...so I leave everything on the belt including my now melty ice creams & shlep all the way backto bedding , grab the sign & bring it back to the girl at the register who says surprisingly "Oh.....it IS $78...wow that is good for a King!" Oh brother!!!!!

Well I put it on the bed & it looks beautiful so I am happy.:)

Good thougths for your dad.

the girls and I went up to the hospital today to see dad. He was doing pretty good. still not sure when they will let him go home. He has Chemo on Tues and Wed. so prayers that his lungs can tolerate the chemo.

Love all the photos!!!

This 3200mg of ibuprofen a day is making me exhausted! I didn't take all 4 doses yesterday and that combined with standing for over an hour and walking a bit for the parade is making my foot painful today.

Yesterday was the dedication for my brother. It pretty much was "we dedicate this function hall to Joe Crump" but it was still good to be there. We went to a cookout at my sister's after that and was great to spend time with my family. Here's an article on my brother. Despite the wrong facts-he was 11 (not 9) when our Dad passed of a heart attack (not anuerysim) and was the oldest son (not child)...it does a nice job describing what kind of guy Joe was:

Bernadette - I've been meaning to ask you something for quite a while, when we all rode TOT back in December you took a "redneck" picture of our photo, did it come out? I had put all of my things in a locker, including my camera and didn't get one.
I'll have to check at home. I never did get my December photos uploaded correctly to Kodak.

:woohoo:What wonderful news!!!:yay:

Jennifer - I'm so glad to hear that your dad is home!

Anne Marie - what a great deal, aside from the hassle!

Bernadette - That's a beautiful dedication to your brother.

And now a few pictures from Terra's exciting day today. We went to Grant's Farm which is the former home of Ulysses S Grant from right after he got married. The Anheuser Busch family lives there now. The area is also open for visitors with a drive-thru animal park and small "zoo" in the middle.

Terra LOVES to feed the baby goats their bottles here.

And she thinks that it's hilarious when they eat her hair

She also likes to feed the camels

Today she got a special treat though. Earlier in the week I'd read about a new "VIP Elephant Tour" that they offer. It's $5 per person but sounded like it might be worth it. Plus, since you only pay to park, no admission, sometimes I'm willing to pay for something extra here. Terra was THRILLED with the surprise...

This is their African bull elephant. He's 11 feet tall and 13,400lbs. I'm really impressed with the time they took for the "tour". Each family went to see Bud individually. We probably spent 5-7 minutes with him, if not more. We fed him a good 10 times, then got to pet him for a minute, posed for several pictures and then fed him some more. The trainers/keepers didn't rush us at all and kept encouraging us to do/feed more. Bud seemed to love it too. He'd reach out for your hand and make cute raspberry noises asking for more food. It was really cool being right there and Terra was so excited the whole time. Definitely worth the extra money this time, especially since we don't have a lot of time to ourselves lately. It made for a really special day.

Very cool :goodvibes

WE ARE GOING ON A CRUISE NEXT MONTH!!! :woohoo::dance3::yay:

Us too :goodvibes

:cool1::cool1:I hope he is feeling much better.

I had a rough sub day today. The special needs boy that I worked with came in exhausted with a terrible cold. Needless to say we didn't accomplish much, but made it through the day. I did need a nap when I came home though. It was okay because Nick's game was cancelled :teacher: Unfortunately that was their last game and the team they were scheduled to play has no dates left for a makeup game. That means they had an undefeated season. Nick is planning to have blue hair tomorrow :rolleyes1 Thankfully I have some blue gel in the closet.

All of the boys had a ton of homework tonight. Hunter and Nick are still working on homework and they started 5 hours ago. :headache:

Bernadette, Tia and Jennifer, and Tia's sister and Heidi's sister. LOTS of pregnant going on.

Guess I can't count.:lmao:

Debbie-sorry this photo is so bad. I must have given my Nikon to Terry to hold so this was with my little point & shoot. I also owe you a HUGE thank you for asking for this!!!! I couldn't find it on my Mac and I had already deleted all the photos off my laptop. I had NOT moved the photos from the Sony to the Mac. I found them on a flash drive. I would have just assumed they were on the Mac and deleted them.

Jennifer- Glad your Dad got to come home.

Tia great pictures. I still have to do something with mine. But my power cord for my laptop is being very temperamental.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. My brother has an MRI on Thursday for his arm, from being smushed in the elevator. He is still having issues w/ his arm. Hopefully that will lead to some answers about what is going on.

My Dad is having a stress test on Thursday as his blood pressure has been bottoming out, he has been on meds because it is high but it is now all over the place.
