DDA Chapter 25

Well, apparently the kid is just testing my sanity or wanted to give me an adrenaline rush this morning. He just called to say that they managed to wedge it all in the car, and he'll be home in a little under two hours.
Repeat after me....."I love my son. I love my son." I'm glad it worked out that you don't have to make the trip. YAY for him coming home!!!

Thanks! Yes, I do love my son. I guess it all comes with the age, but he used to be more thoughtful and sensitive. I am glad it all worked out, and yes, I would have dropped almost everything to go get his stuff if I had to.

Terry - Ihope you are both on the mend soon, please keep us updated.

My dad is having his surgery this morning, he says it's nothing, but I think if it involves your heart it's something.

Didn't he do this once before while you were on vacation? Of course it is a big deal :wizard::wizard:

Interesting. Apparently Disney is expecting travel to pick up.

Good morning, everyone! I'm in a much better mood today! That makes me happier!!!

Katie's concert was amazing, last night! It was so thrilling to see how far all the students have come. Katie has been in the beginning orchestra all year, and her teacher told me he's recommended that she skip the intermediate orchestra and jump straight into symphony orchestra as an 8th grader! She's beyond excited!!! She will have to work really hard this summer on her shifting and vibrato, but she swears she will do it! My niece, who is a state champion violinist, has offered to work with her this summer, so that will help a lot!

I'm hoping that the weather is nicer today, as Timothy and I have lots of errands to run! I need to get to the library today, as well as some clothes shopping, and then grocery shopping.

Alan showed me the planning he's done for our trip in 3 weeks, and I must say, it's going to either bring us closer together, or rip us apart! It's a lot of family togetherness. I'm just hoping the surprise visit to Disneyland will be the icing on the cake!!! I'm going to try to keep good notes and take tons of pictures!

Have a good day, everyone!

Good for Katie.

It will be great to have him home. Take some deep breaths and it will all pass before he arrives.:wizard:

I was really hoping for some sunshine today. It's not looking hopeful. I have a ton of things to do before work today as I work at the school the rest of the week.

Yeah, fortunately for him, I'm over it, and he'll never even know. Poor dh, on the other hand, already "heard" an earful, since I can IM him at will. :rotfl:

Cool! I wish they would have said what category the resort would be in. Sounds like a Moderate, or maybe even a value, since it's next to Pop.

I don't know why I think this, but I am getting the feeling it will be a Value with family suites like they have at AS...

ETA: and Beth confirmed it with her link! :rotfl:

Glynis, good luck with all the dental work. It will be worth it in the end!

Good luck to your niece with her AP exams. A 7-hour AP exam is ridiculous. None of Laura's have been more than 3 hours. If she is taking the English Language and Composition one, that is tomorrow morning (and Laura's last AP).

I hope that you can get the violin fixed inexpensively!

DS got his course suggestions for next year. They have him in 3 pre-AP courses, which is what is offered for freshmen. Placement is determined by test scores and current course work. Actual AP classes give you college credit, so there aren't any with that designation until later.
He is not in Dance or Spanish, which surprised me. They put him in Health (semester 1) and Personal Fitness (semester 2), and some Principles of Technology thing that goes all year. Those are required, so I guess it doesn't really matter which year he does the required stuff as long as he gets it all out of the way eventually. I think his Theater classes are all one semester so he'll hit 6 different ones.

I hope Laura's exam went well today! :wizard:

Glynis, sounds like you got the violin issues sorted out for the time being. Is it wrong that I am looking forward to turning in the rental drum? :rolleyes1

Hi,

Just got a call from my gyno that my pap was abnormal. She has scheduled a colposcopy & endometrial biopsy for me....I am trying not to worry but easier said than done.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is well. Try not to worry, and whatever you do, don't go to the internet for information.

It's probably nothing. My mother and sister in law never have pap smears come back normal, but on further examination they are fine. :wizard::wizard:

:lmao: Glynis, that is exactly what I am doing!:laughing:

I hope it makes you feel better to know that I've had an atypical pap and after a colposcopy everything was found to be normal. Try not to worry too much. I know, easier said than done.

Anne Marie, I am sure everything is fine.

Thanks ladies!!!! I am sure things will be fine...just a knawing feeling until I have the results. I should go look at the restaurant or resorts board to take my mind off of it.

Thanks for the news on Stephanie. I surely hope your PT goes ok. Do they know what's causing the dizziness?

Apparently when I had the first round, some of the crystals might not have been settled and I just need to have a few more sessions. It is very frustrating and very tiring!!! It is amazing what I have read about Vertigo. Sorta like who knew??

I'm in the middle of studying about procedures of the inner ear, so this is fascinating to me! I hate being dizzy, though, so I hope, for your sake, it passes without too much more trouble!

After a two hour delay dad's procedure went well today, his only complaint when he got to his room was that he was hungry.

Sending lots of good thoughts your way Anne Marie

Hi everyone! Its been a wonderful day full of surprises..Today is my grandfathers 80th birthday..Most of us live in the area, but i have an aunt, uncle, 3 cousins, 2 of their husbands and a baby that live in colorado--and another cousin is stationed in colorado ...Well they were all here today!! I knew about everyone except my cousin in the air force. We were all talking and he just walked in--i was so surprised--so we hadd a picnic today and were all doing something tomorrow--i am exhausted but its a good exhausted

Sounds like a very nice celebration!!! Glad you all got to be together.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!!! We went to the park. Made for a very nice day especially since everyone was charged with bringing their own food. I got to just hang out and not worry about much of anything.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Everything went so nice. I am so happy with the picture that I had done of Alyssa. I will post more "family" pictures later, if anyone wants to see them.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

For the DDA with young kids that need strollers, did you see that Owners Locker has started a new business http://www.magicstrollers.com/.

I was looking at that the other day. Got me wondering if there were any off site rentals that had a double that would hold Terra next year. I'm figuring about 60 pounds by then and most of what I'm finding is 50lb limit per child. I'm just worried about her feet as we still can't make it much more than a couple of hours at a time at the zoo or hiking.

I'm so excited about this! I've been dying for that other half of Pop to finally be put to good use. I have to say I think I like this themeing better than the original 1900s-1940s times. I just don't think those decades lend to the great buildings that 1950s-1990s do.

Lots of prayers and :wizard: that everything is okay.
