Yay Theresa. :cool1::cool1::dance3::woohoo:

My cable went out until just a few minutes ago. I could get on Facebook using my iPhone, but needed it to get my recipe, so no time to FB or dis.

Soup's on!

Hate to post and run once again, but I was just on long enough to print some things for my meeting tonight. My co-chair is voiceless so I'm on my own for leading it tonight. Luckily, everything is just about ready now. I've just got to put together the attendance prize and go by her house to get the rest of the boxes I need for the meeting.

Have a nice evening everyone!

Stephanie - Glad the cable's back! Soup sounds delicious. What kind?

I just have to post this. This is a quote from one of my friends on Facebook

L***** lives in a city where the idiot mayor asks residents to call to have their streets plowed after moving their cars out of the 18 inches of snow in lieu of declaring a snow emergency, all major interstates that surround the city are now closed by the governor and PennDOT is pushing piles of snow to block the on ramps to ...said interstates, thus trapping us in the city. It may be the end of the world as we know it. :)

She lives in Harrisburg!!!!!

I cannot even believe the nerve of that mayor. :confused3

The Chicken Soup is smelling soooooo good. Cannot wait to taste the home made noodles that Hal made.

It is still snowing here!!! Thank goodness there is still a good supply of liquor here in the house!!!:lmao: We probably aren't gonna get out of here till the weekend the way it looks.

We already have about 2 feet of new snow on top of the almost 2 feet from the weekend. The plow came through about 1pm, there is about 6-8 inches of snow on the road. It is supposed to snow heavily till about 7pm, with snow possible till about 3am.:scared1::headache:

I hope you are all warm and keep your power.

Not only is it still snowing, its snowing really hard. And blowing. And drifting my front door shut. This wind is wicked.

I made a black bean soup. My grandson says it's too spicy. I think it's great. Has another hour to simmer.. Yum.

I can't believe it, but I think we may have to close again tomorrow. I know I'm not going anywhere.

I am glad to read that you are all hunkering down for this storm. Our county school system announced it would be closed for the rest of the week.

Conditions have improved a lot in the past hour or two here. It is no longer snowing, but the wind is still very wicked.

Your ticker says only 13! I hope it is right. :)

I won't actually be there for 13-1/2 (almost 14). The 13 is midnight and we don't get there until about 1pm. We do leave in 13 because we'll stay overnight in Green Bay because we leave at like 5:30am.

We have at least a foot and half or more here. This is a much heavier snow. It has picked up in the past half hour. Our neighbor cleared our driveway up to the cars.

Where does one go with all of the snow??? With all of the on street parking it will be a few days to get the streets cleared. There is always concern because the city folks tend to get very posessive about their space that they just cleared out. We will see a lot of lawn chairs marking their spots!!!!

In the U.P., we are prepared for this. They basically load the snow into dump trucks, truck it out of town, and dump it. The Lower Peninsula isn't as prepared so when we get large snow storms, they aren't prepared to truck it out so there are no parking spaces.

They are loading up dump trucks of snow here too. But our city has only 26 pieces of equipment for snow removal, so it is long, arduous work. Those men and women who are taking care of us like this are really getting a workout this winter!
