Is everything okay?

I just really, really need a vacation! With the economy the way it is and an election year and the Governor at term limits, things are not so great in our Great State. Morale is really low, just like it is everywhere. Unfortunately, staff have been allowed to do whatever for years. To get through, we need everyone to be accountable and do their jobs. They aren't happy about that which makes morale even worse. Decisions that we have no control over are made and have to be enforced. Therefore, the reason that I really, really need a vacation! Disney here we come in 15 days!!!!!

Well, for only the second time since I've been there, we have closed the office. The City closed its offices, so we are staying home and not getting in the way of the plows. YAY.:cool1::cool1:

Theresa- Sending good thoughts to you for your surgery.

Terry- Sorry about your job. Stephanie I hope it does not affect you too bad. :wizard::grouphug: to both of you.

Vicki- Hang in there.

I hope we are closed tomorrow. So far there has not been a decision made. I will not attempt my 70 mile roundtrip commute w/ the potential for 2 feet of snow and 50+ mph winds. It would take me all day to get there and back. They probably won't decide till like 7am tomorrow and I already need to be ready before then, so I could start the snow clearing.:scared: I truly hope we do not lose electricity.

Theresa, good thoughts for you tomorrow. :goodvibes:love::goodvibes

Terry, we had 5 people doing your job today. And not very well at all. They have no idea what all you did. No idea.

And I miss my lunch buddy. :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

My DD just cleared off our deck. I had forgotten the deck and with it snowing an inch an hour, the deck would snap off. :rolleyes1

FIVE???? OMG I hate seeing this cause i know there are gonna be some pretty pi$$ed off parents if the EFT isn't done right. I know there is nothing I can do, but I really CARE about the parents.

I miss my lunch buddy too :sad1::sad1:

I am glad they are closed. That parking lot on Monday was a mess and they need time to really clear it.

I am also glad you get to stay home. It is just no fun slipping and sliding all over the place

After 6 hours of snow, we have over 8 inches now. Just hoping the winds are not as bad as they are predicting.

We really can't get to the deck right now and I know it needs to be cleared. Hal has off tomorrow too.

Becky, I always hated when they took all that time to make the decision. Where one person lives is always different where someone else lives. We could be only getting two inches but where Stephanie lives they could be getting the two feet!!! Unfortunately the forecasters are spot on again with this storm so far. By now on Saturday the plows would have come thru at least once. Tonight, nothing. It will probably take two days for us to get plowed out this time which was always what happened before in the past.

Very frustrating. I vote that you stay home.

I plan on staying home. I'm not even sure about Thursday at this point. The storm over the weekend I had almost 2 feet, at my office they had about 6 inches.

Theresa good thoughts or you today :wizard:

Glad to hear most of you are getting a snow day, no fun driving in that! I need to get my truck cleared off, so I can get to work. The roads do not look to bad, not sure about school yet. Guess that depends on the country roads.

Good morning,

No snow here but high wind gusts all day. The wind woke me up at 4am & I couldn't go back to sleep...:headache:

Everyone dealing with bad weather, hope you can stay home or at least get home early. Stay safe & warm.:goodvibes

Well, I'm home. Even the City closed. Even the day care center that NEVER closes is closed today. We are stuck. Penn Dot is doing the best they can but this is more snow than they are used to.

My teenage neighbor is coming to snowblow my driveway, his driveway and then he bought gas and is going to snowblow the neighbors. He has quite the enterprise going. :) I told him I was fine with it. My snowblower needs to get some action.:lmao::lmao:

I'm looking at the news and the forecaster is standing in snow up to her crotch. Okay coffee time for me.

The last time I looked outside we had about 4" with more to come, we shall see.

Theresa, I hope all goes well today!! :wizard:

No snow here. Yet. They are saying we will get snow tomorrow, starting in the AM and getting progressively worse. Not sure what that will mean for schools, etc. I can't remember ever having bad weather that started in the morning. Momboss is supposed to go on a business trip to the UK on Friday, and the grandparents are supposed to fly in on Saturday, so I hope all the weather doesn't prevent them from getting where they need to go.

Theresa, I sure hope everything goes nicely for your surgery.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Vicki, I know what you mean. This ecomony is making everybody vunerable. The City laid off 4 firefighters. They cut our funding. As parents lose their jobs they can't enroll in our programs. It has the domino effect. And the layoffs are just beginning. :sad2::sad2:

Good morning, DDA!

We are now under a Blizzard Warning here. 72 days.......

We have at least a foot and half or more here. This is a much heavier snow. It has picked up in the past half hour. Our neighbor cleared our driveway up to the cars.

Where does one go with all of the snow??? With all of the on street parking it will be a few days to get the streets cleared. There is always concern because the city folks tend to get very posessive about their space that they just cleared out. We will see a lot of lawn chairs marking their spots!!!!

good morning
Well it is a good thign i have a snow day-it is nasty out there! I bet we have at least 8 inches just from overnight....its sleeting right now, and they said another 10 inches later tonight. Im not even sure if we will have school tomorrow. Last night, the other kindergarten teacher and I stayed til 7pm at school prepping the kids' valentine mailboxes to put together in case we dont have school tmoorrow too

I did not bring any work home so I am just planning on relaxing today! Everyone stay safe

Theresa-hope all goes well today!!!!:hug::wizard:

Vicki-you can make it! Hope you have perfect travels, great weather and lots of magic!:wizard:

No snow here yet. The kids will be released early. I hope I am too.

I looked at my photopass photos again this morning. The photos from my Dec trip were set to expire today. Now they are showing 3/12. BUT ALL the borders Tammi & I added are GONE.:scared1: I ordered the CD Monday so they better be on there!!!!

Oh jeez, my minivan is scaring me. The wheels lock up when I put it in reverse. I can't control the steering in reverse!!!

Nice! The van is almost 10 years old so it may be time. I was hoping to get a few more years out of it. Crap.
