Terry, I am so sorry.

The non-profit I used to volunteer for lost some STELLAR employees because they decided to pile way too many responsibilities on people. People need to feel like it is POSSIBLE to do their jobs, and when staff members are cut and their duties fall to others, people all of a sudden CAN'T do everything that is expected of them. Bad situation for everyone. For the employees, for the clients, and for the people who lost their jobs!

Stephanie has been texting me that they are alreayd in a tizzy trying to edit the attendance!!!!! They have no fricking clue!!!!

It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night. I didn't make it to the end of the SB, but was happy to see that the Saints won. I was pulling for them. Drew Brees is cute.

I can't believe I forgot the totally happiest thing that happened to me this weekend!

Alan and I have been planning on a cruise with some friends of ours to celebrate our 20th anniversaries. Well, our friends had to cancel on us, because they are in the middle of adopting a girl baby from China, and have to keep their time frame open. So, Alan told me to start thinking of something else we'd like to do.

I told him that I'd love to surprise the kids with a trip to DL. They don't think we're going back until summer of 2011, so it would be a total surprise. I told him about the Give a Day, Get a Day campaign going on, and showed him the website. He agreed that with that ticket, plus the discounted tickets he can get through his work, we should be able to swing it! So, we are all going to do the Project Linus project (without telling the kids why we're doing it, just stressing service to others), and this spring, after school is out, we'll put the kids in the car and go. To totally confuse them, we'll start in northern CA and drive through the Redwood forest, through San Francisco, and then cross over to Anaheim. We're going to tell them that we're visiting places that Alan used to live, and show them around those places. They'll be so surprised when we pull up to Disneyland! We're also going to spend a day in San Diego, either at Sea World, or the Zoo. Haven't decided that, yet.

So, stay tuned for a ticker in the near future!!!!

Terry, I have no words for what you must be going through right now. Great big s from here, and lots of good thoughts and prayers that you find a way to deal with your emotions.

At first, I could not stop crying. Now I am just so dammed mad I could spit. I am getting my resume together. Never thought I would need one again. I am facebooking and taking care of my farms in Farm Town and Country Life!!! Thank goodness I have something to do!!!

The one thing I will not do is give up my trip.

Hi everyone,

What a way to start my week. I nearly kill myself getting to work only to be "Let Go" because of budget cuts. so to work at 9am home by 11:30am. I am so shocked I cannot even think. My co-worker Awilda couldn't even speak!! I did post on Facebook that I was let go, but I will not go into much detail there.

This came out of left field because I really thought my job was secure with all of the things I do. I even asked the director who was gonna do it because she sure can't think Awilda is going to do that plus all of her work. It is very time consuming and very exact. Her words were, "we will spread it out over other people. That will be interesting since no one likes doing my job. Their comments are you are doing just fine. You keep doing it just like you do it now. I dealt with so many parents about their accounts and do a weekly electronic fund transfer and I just cannot wait to see who screws things up. I hope they lose a few parents because of this that is how mad I am right now.

Of course Stephanie is just devastated by this she can't even speak.

No, I was hired in 2004.

Terry, I am so sorry to hear that they have no idea what a hard-working, loyal employee they just let go. It was a stupid move on their part and I fear they will regret it. I am sorry this had to impact your life. There is sometimes no intelligent reasoning for this kind of thing and many others will be affected, obviously.

To say devastated is just not enough words. She has been helping me with getting a resume together and we found about a job opening that uses the same billing program I used. Plus having phone and customer service experience, I hope to get considered for this job.
