Who has seen "Avenue Q"? I am debating about buying a 3 show series (in addition to the 4 show series we already have) and it includes that show. I would LOVE to see it, but I am trying to determine if it is too much for DS. The website says it is OK for teens, NOT for young children. Sex, drinking, and internet porn. OK, fair enough. I think those subjects provide teachable moments in the car driving home.

So is it worse than say, an episode of Family Guy? I HATE that show, but DS is drawn to it like a moth to flame.

I've been swamped today. Between scheduling issues for Lacrosse and donations for the basket raffle my day has disappeared. I did get a lot of donations today so that is good and I now know the hours that we have the gym for Lacrosse so I can tweak the schedules around that.

I am a huge fan of the show Ave Q. IMO it is worse then an episode of Family Guy. I would take an older teen.

Songs from the soundtrack include "The Internet is for Porn", "You can be a loud as the H3ll you want" which refers to having sex. One of the scenes is basically the muppets having sex. All of the soundtrack lyrics are available here and wikipedia has a good description of the storyline. There are also some videos of it here or you may want to do a youtube search for clips so you get a better idea.

I haven't seen it but I love the song...It sucks to be me.... I am thinking it is a little better than Family Guy....mainly because I hate Family Guy.

I have been around but I've had a fewthings to do.

ETA: I just realized how funny that sounded....I had to go get blood drawn and wait for the nurse to call back because I accidently gotten my splint wet.

Thanks, Becky! The Wiki synopsis actually doesn't sound too bad! I would take him to see "Rent" in a split second if it was coming to town. I will kick it around a bit more. Not sure we really need to go see 7 musicals in a 6 month span. But maybe we do!

Now their snow make up days are taken from Easter break...sorry I can't ask the Wonder to dock earlier so I guess they are going to miss them!

Think any other kids will be out? I bet attendance is very low those days.

We watch Project Runway every week..Katie is obsessed with fashion design. We saw him too in 2007.

Working. Reality stinks! I was going to work on photopass borders but the site is down. That was maddening enough before but now that I have PAID for an extention so my photos wouldn't expire it is really frustrating that I can't get to the photos.

Thanks for posting that, I will show it to her..she has thousands of sketches in her room (all over her room!) She has a mood board with fabrics (again) all over her room. I think she must be an artist because she is so messy.

She has a hamper in her room but dirty clothes are still on the floor???? AND...her room is SO tiny-the hamper isn't more than 2 feet from where the clothes drop. I don't pick them up for her but you would think she'd get tired of hearing me tell her to.

I think i am actually going to take a sick day tomorrow--i havent taken any this year..im just feeling horrible and cant get over it..i think a day of resting is going to be the only way to get me over this..ugh! Im going to wait and see hwo i feel overnight--wake up around 4 and if i still feel horrible, put in for a sub..then ill have to run into work and throw together sub plans ..then bed all day!

We have seen it on Broadway. It is pretty graphic! It could never be seen on TV!!!

Sex, definitely (the puppets have sex on stage). Language, yep. Racist and politically incorrect. Oh, yeah.

It's a perfectly sunny, beautiful day. Which means a 2 hr. delay, but at least they are going to school! Tomorrow, however will be a different story. We are supposed to get a blizzard lasting through Saturday, which means no school next week.

Wow, you all are planning for a snowstorm and we could really use some. The ski slopes are horrible and the snowmobile trails are bare. I have spots of my lawn visable. This is very very strange for this time of year. It is cold here, very cold, but not enough snow.

Not that we get very much, but I find it crazy that Texas friends and Oklahoma relatives have gotten much more snow and ice than we have this year.

I agree, our ecosystem needs the snow to work properly. I wonder what the spring will be like?
