They are calling for a "wintry mix" for tomorrow morning so I am assuiming a 2 hr delay..I am setting the clock for 8am!

Don't get me started...Daniel was so bored in 1st & 2nd grade that the teacher asked him to leave the class. He actually corrected a math problem on the board that she had done incorrectly....sent him to the principals office. Principal sent him to the school social worker. The SW gave him a book to take home "Berenstein Bears talk to a Physciotrist about their feelings." Anyway when he brought it home I just about blew my top off. Ok, I am letting it go, I am letting it go.. Keep moving forward....

I was bored in first grade too and lost my Dad in first grade. My teacher sent me to the principal's office for daydreaming. I still remember crying in the principal's office and the poor secretary didn't know what to say to me.

The school system wrote me off because I was the youngest of 6 of a single mother so what would I ever amount to? Then my Mom got a job at Babson College. I think I was accepted there because of my Mom but I did the work to graduate with honors. I really wanted to send that guidance counselor my transcript when I graduated but too had to let it go. I cannot imagine how would react if anyone tried to pull that with my kids though.

Bernadette - I was on photopass today too, trying to finish up. I think I'm done. It certainly wants me to be.

School is canceled for tomorrow.

Do they have a plan to make up all the missed days?

I thought the numbers were changing faster than I was adding borders.

I just noticed that they added back those Mickey & Minnie borders if you like those-you know the one that are are polka dot for Minnie and red/black/yellow for Mickey.

Emma & I had a ton of photos taken so I still have a ways to go.

I think it is trying to get me to quit too. Did you have any issues with the choices of borders just all disappearing? Not borders already on photos but there would just be none to choose from.

That stinks....well at least you know what you have accomplished in life & that is all that matters..yes its hard when it happens to your kids...I tend to get all "momma bear" about anything to do with them..but you all know that about me by now.

6:15am..Thats when they called today. However we all get up at 6am so the kids were eating breakfast when the call came. Tomorrow I am not getting them up until I know for sure.

Bernadette, just between me & you I am having serious resort anxiety about the BC....The BWI was so great that I am torn between the 2.

I think you should upgrade to a deluxe room at BWI. The kids are getting bigger you know. I don't know why I was hesitant to book BWI CL for the May trip. I've always wanted to stay there. Now that I've booked it I'm very excited about it!

If I like it as much as I expect to I may try to book a bounce back when I'm there in May for early August-not that I know if we are going.

OH....and I found out today that the manager of the CL at BWI is the fiance of my coworker's daughter. I don't work closely with him but one of my other coworkers is a true disney addict like me and she knows him well. She will be at BWV when I'm at BWI in May and wants to check out the lounge when we're there.



On the other hand....didn't BC just upgrade their CL lounge? I'm not helping am I?

I had a friend call today...last spring she broke her ankle and than gave herself a stress fracture in the other one because of the weight she was putting on it. She was also one of my favorite volunteers and a former nurse so it was lovely to talk to a human in real time!!

Oh no, another cancellation? Do you have make up snow days?

We will lose some teacher workdays and early dismissals, but no holidays or spring break. Hopefully we don't get days added on to the end of the year.

Here is our make-up policy:

Should the school year fall below the required instructional days or hours, the difference will be made by converting the following current non-school days to school days.

January 18
February 12, April 2, May 28 (3 early-outs)
February 15
April 19
June 21 - added
June 22 - added

Wow, you all are planning for a snowstorm and we could really use some. The ski slopes are horrible and the snowmobile trails are bare. I have spots of my lawn visable. This is very very strange for this time of year. It is cold here, very cold, but not enough snow.

We have the same thing here.

I'm feeling Wonky myself. I haven't quite nailed it down yet...kidney stone (doubt it), UTI, virus, other...I just don't feel well and have a lingering backache with abdominal pain. Lots of chills, but no fever. Of course I'm subbing at school tomorrow morning, taking Nick to his appt and I was asked to cover a shift tomorrow night at the restaurant. I sure hope I feel better in the morning.

Hunter had an eye appointment today. He tried out a pair of contacts and seemed to do okay for the short time he had them in. He was scared of getting them in and out, but now that it has been done once I think he's over most of the fear. The doctor is expediting the order as his incision is inflammed still. I'm not sure when they will be in, but hopefully it won't take too long.
