Deb - Glad you're feeling better. Way to go on the px90. I hear it's really though!

Tammy - Glad you got out of the house and that the roads weren't too bad.

We did hit the zoo today and the temps actually got up to about 40 which made for a pretty nice day. Delta Dental sponsors Sun activities in Jan and Feb so we got to do several activities, got a free face painting and Terra got several free toys (cheap little stuffed animal, cute penguin toy and finger puppet). There was free ice cream too, but we didn't get there. The penguin walk was really cute! Several stopped right in front of us and were looking eye to eye with Terra. We hit the ape house also and they were very active. It's nice to get good looks at the gorillas as when they're outside you can't always see them well. A quick run to the antelope house to see the giraffes and a lingering visit to the snakes and lizards and we had a pretty good day!

Good Morning

Nick is shadowing at a high school this morning. We need to choose which High School to enroll him in very soon. He has decided that he wants to go to the High School that I attended and that my mother works at, but we still think that it is a good idea for him to spend a day checking it out to make sure that it feels right for him.

Morning all! I'm not holding my breath or anything, but it looks like Leslie is fever free. She has to stay home from school today, but if all goes well, she'll be back at school tomorrow!!!

Hooray!!!

Have a great day, everyone!

I have an appt in about an hour and half with the surgeon...seems to be just for a lookie loo. Frustrating!!

:wizard: I would be frustrated too. Get an appt ASAP to get it fixed:wizard:

:eek:What are they waiting for? Sounds like torture! Hope you can get in for surgery soon!!!!:wizard:

This does not surprise me. In my experience when you break a bone, unless the bone is sticking out of the skin, they will not cast or do surgery immediately even if you meet w/ a surgeon. They typically wait a few days to let the swelling go down.

I hope they can do your surgery soon Theresa.:wizard::grouphug:

OK-I guess that makes sense but it still sounds awful!

it is awful!! and I almost cried when he set the surgery for next Wednesday.:eek:He than made me feel a little better by saying that usually with breaks this bad they have to wait even longer for the swelling to go down:scared1: Even after surgery I will not be able to put weight on it for another few weeks.

The PA made me feel even better in that he saw a similar break on Saturday and the poor lady is in the hospital because of the pain. I guess I really do have a high threshold for pain.:rolleyes1

I did get good news (for the girls) I won 2 tickets to opening night (tomorrow) of Legally Blonde!!! They are both tickled pink!!

I stayed home sick today, but could not get into the doctor's so I have an appointment tomorrow morning. I am gonna try and go into work for some time tomorrow. Not sure how long.

This is an awesome backyard railroad set up in CA.

Theresa- Hang in there I know how bad it stinks to have an achy foot/ankle and not be able to put weight on it. :grouphug::wizard:

It's even worse for a person who hasn't been able to trust anybody other than herself for anything.

Theresa sorry you have to wait till Wednesday, congrats on the tickets!

Becky hope you feel better soon :wizard:

Glynis happy to hear Leslie is on the mend!

We are having new touch screen cash registers installed tomorrow. we were told this Friday, so no one is trained to run these. My manager, another empolyee & myself went to another store that has them(3 hour drive each way )so we could try to familiarize ourselves with them. We have 3 other employees making the trip tomorrow. So needless to say come Wednesday it is going to be very hectic & tiring at work.

I love the new system, but a few weeks warning so we could train properly would have been nice!

Sickies be gone! This is awful. I can't believe how many DDA or their children are sick. Get better!!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I go to Disney next month!!! :cool1::cool1:

Trying to get excited. :goodvibes

Here's the picture I used for Aubrey's invitations,
I guess you can tell it's aTink party,
