Could everyone please keep myBob and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His mom passed away. There will be no service or burial. She did not want one, and she wanted her body donated to science. They will be having a memorial service sometime in the spring. I don't know if I could handle that, not having the closure that goes along with a viewing and burial.

Somehow I missed this earlier. I am so sorry to read this  Bob and his family are in our prayers. I hope he can figure out how to find closure:wizard:

I hope That all of you who have bee sick this week are on the mend.

Deb, yah on getting your home gym set up.

Vicki great job on the shopping deals.

Elizabeth tell C Happy Birthday.

Debbie I hope you had a great time with Tara and I hope she had a great birthday.

Tammi - So sorry to hear of Bob's loss:hug:

Deb - lot's of PD for you too

Looks like I'll be spending the next few weeks planning a HUGE birthday party, the guest list for Aubrey's party has jumped from 75 to 140, I told DH it's gonna be like planning a wedding reception. We went all out for Brandon's so we can do no less for Aubrey's, but after this one it will be normal parties from here on out.

Thank you everyone. :grouphug:

Debbie - 140 people! Yikes!

Good morning. :)

The plows still have not made it into our subdivision.

Elin - have you been out at all? How are the roads in town? I'd like to go to church this morning, but not if it means I'll get stuck somewhere.

Deb - I hope the doctor finds that all is well with Nick.

Becky - feel better!

I was out twice yesterday morning. I don't plan to go out unless absolutely necessary. The plows have not been through our subdivision. I don't know about Ferry Road.

If you can get out of your driveway I bet that White Oak is cleared. Downtown streets not so much; not sure what they did to them yesterday afternoon/evening. But, they plan to clear them... wait for it...

TONIGHT. After 5:00. :confused3

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (but cold... it is 8 here this morning!)

But, they plan to clear them... wait for it...

Strange. I suppose I could go the roundabout way, to Rt. 1, and into St. Mary's. I NEED to get to Giant also. I seem to do my snow shopping AFTER the fact, instead of hording like the rest of the world.

Good morning everyone. Well, we're still on "sick watch" here. At 2:30, Mary came to wake me up to tell me Leslie was crying. I went to their room and she was burning up with fever. She told me that her ear hurt. I gave her some of the drops the doctor prescribed for Mary, and a dose of Mary's antibiotic. Then, I gave her Tylenol for her fever, and we all tried to go back to sleep. Within half an hour, Leslie was in our bed. I gave her a cool washcloth for her forehead, and again, tried to go back to sleep. It's now 6:25, and I've been up since 2:30. Just can't go back to sleep. I'm so tired of sickness! Can it please be Spring now???? We need an end to this chapter in our lives.

At least Timothy is doing well. We didn't have to take him to the hospital at all yesterday for nose sucking! We have been using our own bulb syringe and it seems to work just fine. He hates it, but he hated the sucking at the hospital, too. Poor little guy. The thrush medication has given him diaper rash, but that's the worst thing he's got right now. Thank heaven! That, I can handle!

I hope everyone has a good Sunday. Me? I'm staying home with Timothy, Leslie and Mary. Alan will take the other 2 and represent our family at church. At least that's the plan, for now. While they're gone, I'll make a roast with onions, carrots and potatoes, and some kind of salad. For dessert, I'm thinking something with chocolate and peanut butter. I'll have to see what I can come up with!

Debbie - 140 people??? That's a lot! Good luck with that!!! I decided long ago, that doing a party for each of the kids every year was too much. So, they only get "friend" parties on the odd number years. On even number years, it's family only. It's worked out well for us. They don't get overwhelmed and I don't get overworked trying to outdo last year's party.

Elin and Tammi - Stay warm and safe. I'd say stay inside and don't drive anywhere you don't have to. Sounds like a movie and hot chocolate day to me!

I am so sorry.

My kids love to worry me. I'm surprised that I'm not totally gray by now.

Nick has been complaining for a while that the room goes black sometimes when he gets up or is walking down the hall. We asked the Doctor about it at his 14 year check up and of course they weren't concerned. He has also mentioned intermittant vision issues. We had him checked and his vision was 15/20, yet he still insists that he sometimes has problems seeing the smartboard at school or the clock on the dvr. this morning he had one of his blackouts and said that his body felt like it was trembling. I immediately think petit mal seizure. You have no idea how much I hope that I'm wrong, but his doctor will be getting a call on Monday and further testing will be demanded. Hunter was misdiagnosed for at least 1 1/2 years and I won't make the same mistake with Nick.

You'll be in our prayers until the doctor can do more checking. I can't imagine the worry it must be inducing for you. If it helps for something else to check into, what he's describing is similar to things I go through as a result of my migraines. I know that my mom and at least one sister does too. Plus, Rachel just asked me about some experiences she has that sounds like she's developing the same.

I hope you are all doing well. I am sick. Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, ear ache. I wanted to go to the doctor yesterday but had lots that I needed to do for work so I didn't. I am regretting that decision.

Feel better, Becky!! I'm with you - definitely get to the doctor on Monday.

Not a big deal. I wondered why no one commented on the post. I thought it was such a cool feature. :lmao:

I don't think I quite grasped it the other day since it wasn't working yet or wasn't working for me. Now that I can use it, I like it!

I'm so sorry, Tammi. They will definitely be in our prayers. I might be able to fine closure in a memorial service, but can't imagine having to wait several months. I hope he and Bethany are doing okay.

That's one big party! Good luck.

Oh no, it goes on. :( I hope Leslie is doing okay today and is on the mend soon. Loads of :wizard: that is skips over the rest of the family and then leaves you alone the rest of the season.

Good morning, DDA! A finally (somewhat) quiet day here after all. Mom is taking Kristi's kids to church with her so I won't have them much after all. They get done a little before noon and Kristi should be home by 1. Of course, since Chris is studying they might just stay here for awhile. Maybe we will decide to go see the penguins after all. Actually, I think we'd already decided to buddle up and go as I mentioned it to Terra and she got really excited. I just wish it wasn't going to be 33, but then next week it might be raining so this would be better.

Glynis hope the sickies leave your home soon :wizard:

Deb I hope you find some answers at the Dr. for Nick & good luck with Colbys ADD testing!

Debbie lots of luck with that party ;)

Glynis - Sorry to hear that the illness has taken up residency at your house

I just sent an e-mail to Disney guest services, we received a letter from Orange county police dept. (not Dade like DH said) they want us to press charges, which we are happy to do, but if it should go to trial we have to agree to return and testify. I've asked Disney to provide accomodations if this turns out to be the case, I don't think this is too much to ask, I would also think they would want charges pressed against these three, yep, they actually have three of them, as I'm sure they broke into many other guests vehicles.

We'll see what they have to say.
