Glynis - :wizard: for the kiddos!

Becky - great job on the blankets!

I realize I have not been posting a ton lately....between illness (think poor Leslie's illness with a fever) and melancholy and scheduling of "stuff" I have been reading along just not posting.

I was checking e-mails today and I have an interview either Tuesday (my first choice to give me more time to get to as close to 100% as I can) or tomorrow so I would love prayers that if this isn't "my" job that it would surface soon as I am just on the precipice of a breakdown.

ETA: Please know that you all are in my constant thoughts and prayers.

Trying to think of a way to add fun to our trip. Besides trying to see all the Santas.

Try to pull out the sword in the stone

any other ideas?

Please add our family friend Nadine to your prayers, she lost her husband about a year ago, and was in Birmingham last weekend for her MIL's funeral when her 48 year old SIL had a massive heart attack, her sister was with her visiting him in the hospital, they went back to her daughter's house for a rest, her sister said she wasn't feeling well and laid down on the couch, she had a heart attack and died, that same afternoon her SIL also died. So she has now lost her husband, MIL, sister and SIL, I don't know how they are going to manage but my heart breaks for them.

Prayers being said for all of them. How terribly sad to lose so many all at once!

OMG, I think I can hear the noise from Bourbon Street, New Orleans has gone crazy.

I'm not a football fan but I'm glad they finally made it to the Superbowl.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! :goodvibes

Was I the only one having trouble logging on today? :confused3

Lots of :wizard: for everyone feeling under the weather. A "wet viral" type cough seems to have returned to my household, along with low-grade fevers. Why does so much sickness have to accompany winter?!!

Please take care, DDA! :wave2:

Amy I was not able to get on earlier, not sure what was going on. Hope everyone feels better soon :wizard:

Becky great job with the blankets :thumbsup2

Theresa hope you feel better soon & good luck with the interview

Glynis hope Timothy feels better soon :wizard:

Kristine if you decide to sell some points, let me know ;)

Heidi yay for booking your next trip! Hope you & John feel better soon.

Good morning. :)

Janet - your rain and wind has made its way to VA. The wind was horrible during the night.

Theresa - good luck with the interview! :wizard:

Keep at it, but don't nag. lol

Kristine if I could convince Bob I'd take em off your hands.

If the guy John sat down with in 2001 would have mentioned resale we would have owned years ago. Of course being they work on commission, they would probably never mention resale.

Sophie's science project is complete!!!
1.gif
The experiment is done & so is her display board..thank heavens! I am told by her teachers that she is very self motivated however at home it's another story!:rolleyes1

Daniel has changed his project 3 times...he has finally decided on "osmosis"..fine so now he's doing his experiment with an egg & vinegar to display osmosis & it's stinking up the house!

Yeah! Miles ran his experiment through three times over the weekend, so he is done with data collection. His teacher has actually been walking them through the process somewhat. She has assigned pieces as homework as they go along, and then they are typing it up at school. I think he said that he has purpose, hypothesis, and materials typed already.

Seems they are still trying to fix the search engine.

Amy I was not able to get on earlier, not sure what was going on. Hope everyone feels better soon :wizard:

Heidi yay for booking your next trip! Hope you & John feel better soon.

Thanks Janet. :)

It has made it here too and it rained so hard and still is, that our sump pump is now running.

Theresa feel better soon and good thoughts for the interview. :wizard:

OMG, I think I can hear the noise from Bourbon Street, New Orleans has gone crazy.

I'm not a football fan but I'm glad they finally made it to the Superbowl.

We don't watch or follow football at all, but we were rooting for the Saints yesterday. That is the team that Laura had for her game in chemistry class. My mother asked what it had to do with chem. It was just something to add a little fun to class; there is no connection to chemistry. Since mid-terms (and the English regents) start tomorrow, they could definitely use a little fun. Most years, they have had Tuesday - Friday off from regular classes and only go in for exams. This year, they have only Tuesday and Wednesday off, and Thursday and Friday are regular class days. Laura has exams all day Tuesday and Wednesday, and her AP Physics teacher is giving his mid-term in class on Friday. Also, there is one chemistry lab that takes extra time, so the teacher schedules it on one of the exam days. Most of the kids in that class are seniors, but she and one other girl have an exam during the lab period, so they have to stay after school for a few hours on Thursday to do that. It's going to be a fun week around here!

It has made it here too and it rained so hard and still is, that our sump pump is now running.

It's raining hard here, too. I'm expecting to have to clean water out of the basement later. I'm hoping the ground is frozen enough that the water doesn't make it all the way through, though.

Thank you DVC owners, we are not looking to add on right now, just getting the feel of what everyone has. Our 100 points suits us well as John can really only get 1 week vacation per year.

We were talking about the Tree Houses, because I have wanted to stay at one ever since first seeing them back in 2000. Unfourtantly John says we would have to save up the points to stay there and then there is the problem that we would not likely get one at 7 months.
