Well, the snow has started. Maybe 2 inches now. While Alyssa was at dance, Nicholas and I went to Walmart to get a few last minute things. I am officially DONE Christmas shopping! :dance: We picked up a couple of movies at Redbox. By the way, the Redbox machine is now blue. Why do they call it Redbox if they are changing them to blue?

Elizabeth - sorry that DH is being difficult. I feel bad for DS. Hope things improve.

Glynis - I'm glad the iron is helping.

We are now enjoying Frosty the Snowman and Frosty Returns.

Jennifer - love the Christmas card. The girls are adorable! :

So they said that due to rain the light could not blink(dance) to the music at the osbornes. Also no snow but the lights were very pretty. I overheard some lady tell her kids that the lights belonged to ozzy ozbourne

Glynis we will pray that you are just lacking iron. That seems to be the easiest to fix. Hunter was happy to hear about your family's happy dance today. He would love to meet and hug everyone that has prayed for him.

Congratulations to those of you that have finished Christmas shopping. I think I'm close. I'm not really sure what to do for my Mother. I was thinking of a gift certificate for a massage on the cruise this summer, but apparently NCL doesn't have gift certificates. I can put a credit on her account, but they can't print anything for me to give her. I think that I may just make her a certificate and take her to the spa when the time comes It's hard to find the perfect gift for her and she has been so supportive of us I really want to do something special

Try to get some rest. When do you head home? I hope that you can have a nice relaxing Christmas with your family. Leave the unpleasantness in Lansing and enjoy the important things in life.

I will head home Wednesday afternoon and will be there through January 3rd. I'm going to my sisters tomorrow for the night to spend some time with my niece & nephew as well as mom & sister.

I've had a really rough night and foresee lots and lots of frustration and disappointment to continue for quite a long time to come...please be praying for me as I deal with a situation that has come up with Cassidy.

Off to do a 9 hour stint at Goodwill for the 4th time this week.

Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9pm tonight to 6AM SUNDAY

A storm system currently over the Gulf of Mexico will track northeastward and dump heavy snowfall across our region tonight through Sunday morning. The predicted snow totals have changed with new information now available, and we think 10-15 inches is now likely, with up to 20 inches in spots along and east of I-95. Narrow bands of heavy snow will move through some areas tomorrow, and these bands of heavy snow will make the difference in total accumulations. Snow may fall at the rate of 2 inches per hour within these heavy bands. The least amount of snow should be northwest of the metro area where 5-10 inches is expected west of I-81 Expect the snow to begin around bedtime tonight and end early Sunday morning. The heaviest snow should fall Saturday afternoon with the highest accumulations locally and southeast of the metro area.

Stay safe! You and everyone else in the path of the storm. We've got a light snow, but aren't supposed to get much, if any, accumulation. Wish I could take a few of your inches off of your hands.

I haven't heard back from the doctor, but they told me it was likely it won't be until Monday that they get all the results back. I am back on the iron pills, and have felt much better today. It's been a scary week, since I've been so dizzy and close to passing out ever since Saturday. At least today I could drive without the world spinning out of control. I am trying to think positively that the iron will be the culprit, but the back of my mind is trying to make me believe that I'm going to end up like my mom! It's going to be a long weekend! I think I'll make Alan take me to see A Christmas Carol so I can get my mind off things!

I'm glad you're doing better. I hope it's just the iron and easily fixed.

Good morning. The snow starrted here sometime between 5-7. The news is saying 1-3 inches an hour. I have a feeling my party tonight will be cancelled --Im so glad I dont have to drive to work in this. Of course,m y brother is working and will have lots of calls because of the snow...stay safe if you are getting this!

I see shoveling in my future. We've been getting snow since 6:30 PM yesterday. Probably about 8 inches out there now. The kids will enjoy playing in it, but I don't like it. We hardly ever get snow (maybe one or 2 days a year), which spoils me for when we do get it. They are saying this will set a record for the amount of snow in December. The old record was 11 inches, set in 1932.

The old record was 11 inches, set in 1932.

ONLY 11 inches....that makes me giggle. But, I am also used to getting 11 inches regularly.

I am glad the kids like playing in it....mine never have. But they are odd ducks.

I'm off to my sister's in Ohio. I will just be staying the night. It will be great to see my niece, nephew, sister & mom. And since it is only one night, I won't get tired of them.

Good morning, DDA! I'm off to get caffinated and then see what's first on the list for today. Of course, it's also almost time to take Terra to choir rehersal for her program tomorrow so that will delay things a little too. Wonder if I have to stay for it?

Morning-

One last stint at Goodwill this morning and then I am not sure....I did my 40 hours all this week so I can be home over Christmas Break with the girls.

I went to my bedroom last night at 8 after coming home at 6, taking a shower to remove 8 layers of dust/grime and making dinner. I held it all together until I was leaving Goodwill when the person who could check me out wouldn't do so a couple of minutes early...instead came in 5 minutes late and said, "To tell you the truth I forgot about you." Well his forgetting me meant I got to watch the bus go by while I was waiting to cross the busiest street in the Denver area. I must have looked beautiful when the next one came 15/20 minutes later...I just sobbed. So I told Jim and Cassidy (Abi was at a sleepover) that their best bet was to not talk to me last night. Jim tried talking to me and I repeated myself.

Still didn't sleep very well but that is about par for the course anymore.

Tammi, it looks pretty, but I would NOT want to live where it snows.

Theresa, I think this time of year magnifies everything to seem even worse than it would seem on a normal day. Hang in there.

We went to breakfast with the Uncles, picked up our stupid cable converter box, and got the stockings out of storage. I also wrapped Princess's presents. I need to wrap Pixie's.

DH goes online every day to "visit" that camera lens. Since I couldn't find it yesterday no matter which search terms I used, I asked him this morning how the lens was doing. He was able to pull it up. Not sure what I was doing wrong. Anyway, I told him to go ahead and buy it. It should be here next Wednesday.

He hasn't attempted to install the cable box yet. I see massive potential for failure in this maneuver.

I have to work tonight. Princess wants to go to dinner, but I told her we'll have to see what sort of mood Pixie is in.
