Good Morning

Morning! ITS FRIDAY!! off to work for our Halloween day! Its going to be a crazy one but its going to be fun!

Have fun! Our kids were bouncing off the walls from the time that they arrived yesterday, but we did have lots of fun.

Miles has a field trip this morning to see a play about George Washington. Then they have a small party and a school-wide costume parade this afternoon. I have a feeling it will be a "high energy" day for them. Tonight is the Autumn Fest, too.

Speaking of which...anyone have any good autumn bake sale ideas? I think it will mostly be kids being things to eat there. Most parents probably won't buy a bunch of sweets to take home, since tomorrow will be candy overload.

If you at all liked Michael Jackson, you will so enjoy this movie. If you loved Michael Jackson, as I did, you will be figuring on how many times you can see it the next two weeks. Wow. Loved it.:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

I'm glad that you had a good time! You sure needed it!

We made spiders two different kinds. They came out cute and are small enough for a snack on the go.

I bought oreo cakesters, licorice whips, a tube of frosting and M&Ms. I used a knife to separate the cakesters in the frosting area. Then we cut the licorice into 1 1/2" pieces and stuck 8 "legs" into the frosting, then stuck the cakester back together. We used 3 dots of frosting to stick 2 M&Ms into. Pretty easy and very cute. The hardest part is separating the cakester without breaking them.

Second spiders:

1 cup honey
2 cups crunch peanut butter
3 cups dry milk
tube frosting
M&Ms
chow mein noodles

Mix the honey with the peanut butter until smooth. add in the dry milk and mix into a playdough consistancy. Use your hands to make small balls and put on cookie sheet. Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes to firm up the balls. Then take 8 noodles and stick into balls for legs. Use frosting and M&Ms to make eyes. Again pretty easy.

I had the kids help me and it took about 1 1/2 hours to make about 3 dozen creepy spiders for the bakesale.

Beth one year my sister did a cousins birthday treat - make regular cupcakes, frost add put a Halloween peep on top.
Halloween peeps that we have (of course they are made here in PA, so we get ones other states don't) Ghost, Pumpkin, Chocolate Cat.

Also there are a few recipes on the peep site. www.marshmallowpeeps.com

OK, friends... I need pointers for La Nouba. Kathrin and I are the only members of our family to ever want to see it and I just realized that we have an open night before Bob and Kristin get to WDW! And there are tickets available all over the venue. HELP!!! I don't want to break the bank, but I want decent seats!

Upper level, 203 4 or 5 is my first choice but there really isn'y a bad seat. I wouldn't do the green section though...
