Jen - thanks for the outfit and blanket!!! I'm love the pants with the football on it! I'm finding out boys clothes are just as fun as girls! :teeth: The blanket is perfect too - I don't have one with the satin edging like this one.

Bob and I got the top of our cake out of the freezer today. We'll see if it's still tastes good tomorrow! :rotfl:

Dawn and I buy candy and then split it, so I already had the fun dip and today I bought 6 bags of Charms blow pops. Dawn bought mini Oreos, rice krispie treats and gummie life savers.

I have decided for the purposes of the DIS I will call the new baby Pixie. :) I still don't have a nickname for her that I will use in real life.

I also had a bit of an epiphany about the pet sitter. I LOVE our pet sitter, so this has nothing to do with that.
I usually add a 20% gratuity to her paychecks, but this year I didn't because we had her come in every day for 15 days - our bill was HUGE! I did add a little extra, but I have been feeling guilty about it. Today something occurred to me.
Between 2007 and 2008 she raised her daily rate by 25%. That is a SUBSTANTIAL increase! If I raised my rates for the families I sit for by that much all at once I doubt I would have any extra sitting jobs! So really, since she raised her prices AND I had her come in every day instead of every other day, AND I did add a bit of extra to her check I don't think I have any reason to feel guilty. I can't think of any other service provider that has room to increase rates by 25%. She will be here 3 days in December and I do plan to add an extra 20% to that check.

Elizabeth I like the nickname. :lovestruc

25%? wow, that is a lot!

Ooh, I love baby pictures. Thanks for sharing Chanon.

We did not eat at Chefs de France tonight. Many reasons. First one was that Bob is not feeling very well. He isn't sick; he is having a recurrence of an old "injury" and can't walk much! He tried to make it from BCV to the International Gateway and was in too much pain. So I went over to meet our friends.

Turns out only one of them showed up and she had already eaten. So, although she offered to sit with me while I ate, I opted to hit a food booth and grab something small. We sat near the American pavilion and had a Sam Adams Octoberfest and listened to part of the "Starship" concert too.

On my way back to the room I stopped at the lobby concierge and picked up a wheel chair for Bob. And I stopped in at the Marketplace and grabbed 2 sandwiches for our dinner. I got the Roast Beef with Brie so it is semi-French! :rotfl:

My husband is not particularly happy with me for getting the chair, but I am not looking to spend the next 6 days by myself while he is here in the villa alone! This ought to work out just fine, as long as he isn't nasty about it. Wish me luck!

I'm sure he is not happy about it but I agree with you. If the only way he can get around without pain is in a wheelchair so be it! Tell him to man up and just go with it. :lmao:

Bob took to the wheelchair like a duck to water. We spent 9 hours in the parks today. He hasn't done that in years! :goodvibes

I have to admit, I am tired from all the pushing, but it was worth it. I had lots of fun with him there today. We both enjoyed lunch with Debbie and Richie. They are nice, friendly and funny! Our Jim Beam Seminar was great! We both learned things about our favorite hard liquor and the pours were very generous. I could not finish mine or I would never have made it to Warren Brown's culinary seminar.

We did some F&W Festival kiosk sampling for an early dinner and then headed back here to the room about 6:45. We are both really tired tonight. The sun was very strong and so were our beverages. ;)

I think my TR will have to updated in the morning, not tonight! :rotfl:

Well, tomorrow is homecoming. So far we have:
bought a new dress, shoes & purse
eyebrows waxed
manicure & pedicure

tomorrow she gets her hair done. frankly, there would be less preparation if the Queen was coming for a visit!

She is worried about the funniest of things...he is 6' 4" and she is worried she won't be able to pin on the boutonniere.

They are now not only crazy talking on FB, it has moved into cell phone calls and texting. Bill just gives me the hairy eyeball.

I dated a guy that was 6'5" in high school. We went to homecoming together. I don't remember worrying about the boutonniere. I remember getting a serious crink in my neck though! I was never into tall men.

:tinker:Pixie is perfect!

We let our neighbors own the pets.

Sounds like a great day!

Vicki-what are your Jan/Feb dates? I'll be at AKL 1/20 to 1/27 celebrating Emma's 7th birthday.

Elin glad to hear Bob accepted the wheelchair and that you both had a good time yesterday.

Good morning :)

Elin hope today is another great day for you & Bob!

Good Morning.

It's good to hear that Elin and Debbie's trips are going well :goodvibes

I drove to the house and was put on a wait list to volunteer. I waited about an hour then was sent out in the pouring rain to help with parking. They only kept me out there about 2 hours then sent me in for a hot meal and planned to send me up to the house around 9 PM. At 7:50 a friend of mine from work who was running the catering van up to the house offered to give me a ride up. I worked out perfect as I brought some cookies and Red Bull right into the house :cool1: It is a very large house, but it seems pretty practical for a Family of 10. I ended up helping until 1 AM. I plan to go back by Noon today. I can only imagine how much they've gotten done since I left. There was a lot going on while I was there. I've got my Extreme Home Makeover T-shirt too :goodvibes
