There's a scary thought, huh?? :scared1: Jackie has informed us she will take Drivers Ed this summer

I'm so not looking forward to those days!

I'm thinking and looking at buying a new vehicle. I was telling Bob this morning that whatever I buy now will probably be Nicholas' vehicle in the future!

God I hope so....Jonathan gave me a run for my money. He was sooooo bad in the beginning. I used to do deep breathing and visualization (of living)

But isn't it easier the second time around??? ;)

Beth - your day sounds yucky to me too. I hope it is not total washout!

Debbie - I hope they can figure out your car's issues. They never did figure out our Mazda. It got to the point that if the check engine light went out I got worried.

Elizabeth - I hope you get back into the swing of things today and good luck to DadBoss

Kristine - :rotfl: poor, poor Bill

Tammi - that is a scary thought sbout giving your as yet unbought car to Nicholas!

I got my first paycheck of this school year and was delighted to see I received a nice raise and also a bonus. :) The raise isn't enough to offset Bob's salary cut, but it will definitely help out a lot. The bonus will make for a very nice dinner at Flying Fish next week! :teeth:

Good for you Elin!! Very exciting! :)

I am ready to go on our trip...I hope November comes quickly!

YAY!!

Tammi, it is our intention to give DH's Civic to DS. Unfortunately, my car will not be paid off yet when we have to buy a new car for DH.

I am ready for the carpet guy. NOW. I want him finished before I have to leave. Of course that virtually guarantees he won't be here anytime soon. I just want the hall cleaned, really. And the giant black patch by the back door where DH spills his drink on a regular basis but never bothers to clean it up properly.

I need a cheap silver or black dress purse...what store? Nothing at Jc Penny

Believe me, it will come very quickly. Just wait and see!! It is almost October already!

Thanks all I can't wait. Of course John is saying calm down its still a ways off, but he is excited too.

Beth sorry for a rainy messy day.

Elizabeth hope nothing changes for dadboss at his job. :wizard:

Elin yeah for a raise and bonus. :woohoo:

Kristine I hope Jackie has a nice time at homecoming. :)

Have you heard of this yet?

Maybe it's just me being cynical, but Disney is slowly becoming too politically correct for me.

I just saw this via a work email Tammi. Here's what I was gonna post:

“What Will You Celebrate?”

There are so many reasons to celebrate. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Reunions. Or any of life's most special moments. But this year, Disney Parks is celebrating something new and that’s the good things people do for their communities.

New in 2010! Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.
We want to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities. So we’re celebrating their good works by giving each of them one-day admission to a Theme Park at the Disneyland® Resort or the Walt Disney World® Resort, free.* There’s no better time to make a dream come true for others and let us make a few come true for them.

How will this work for Clients who purchase vacation packages with multi-day tickets? When your Client signs up for “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” and completes the volunteer activity, they can choose one of the following options instead of receiving the one-day admission to a Theme Park:

•Disney's Special FASTPASS® card for certain attractions for themselves and up to five additional members of their party+
•A collectible Ear Hat figurine with exclusive trading pins**
•Donate their ticket to a non-profit organization designated by Disney Parks
Throughout 2010, Disney Parks will continue to celebrate all of life’s milestones with special entertainment experiences, occasion celebrations and recognition moments. Check out the Celebration Advisor below for suggestions on how to customize your Client’s vacation.

Also, remember to tell your Clients about any special offers that may be available from time to time at the Disneyland Resort in California or the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

* Must pre-register and sign up for eligible volunteer opportunity at disneyparks.com. Ticket quantities for this program are limited. Must be at least age 6 to participate. Other terms and conditions apply. See disneyparks.com for details.
+ Participating attractions are subject to change. Valid Theme Park admission required. The number of Special FASTPASS® Cards is limited and may not be available after 11 a.m. All Guests in your party must be present to receive the Special FASTPASS® Cards.
** Available at select locations.
Valid ID and a valid Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® multi-day ticket along with the voucher will be required at the time of redemption. No cash refunds or credits will be provided to multi-day ticket holders who volunteer under the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.” program and choose not to redeem their voucher for a one-day admission ticket or exchange it for one of the three options.

I was already at the Disney site for the give a day get a day (Disney is my homepage) and there isn't much there as the site is still under construction and will stay that way. I saw no place to sign up for give a day or what places will be involved with the promotion.

Kristine was everything ok after the winds? Once the rain stoped here so did the winds and there was no damage.

For the most part...lot's of branches down. My neighbors tree split. Several of my Halloween pieces were chipped. But for the Bill crazy meter...it wasn't too bad :)
