Glynis - I am echoing all the other posts. I am so, so sorry the results weren't what you were hoping for.

My Dad has this. It can be controlled fairly well with diet :thumbsup2

Thanks

Tammi - I bet you are SO proud of Nicholas! He has grown up a lot!

Well, the results are in from the doctor and while not good, they are not as bad as they could be (I hope).

Dad had prostate cancer 12 years ago, and had his prostate removed. Well, they've found cancer in the tissue in the prostate area. They also found the beginning stage of bone cancer in one of his ribs. That's the worry.

Dad's PCP sent the test results to an oncologist, and dad will meet with him soon (hopefully tomorrow) to discuss options. I'm a little numb, as I was hoping that it would be less cancer as opposed to more. Dad sounded quite shell shocked as well. I'm hopeful that he can get his positive attitude back in line before treatment starts, as I know a positive attitude will help.

Thanks for your prayers.
Glynis so sorry :wizard: prayers for you and your family.

Happy Birthday, Terry!

Happy Anniversary, Jennifer and Jeff!

Glynis, prayers for your dad and your family.

Tia, I hope that the diet and fiber help relieve your symptoms.

Debbie, hope your eye is better soon. I like Tammi's comment on what to say.

Tammi, sounds like Nicholas is really growing up!

Hi to the rest of the DDA! Hope everyone else is well.

Happy Birthday Terry!!!!!!!!

I got Chanon's address, does anyone have Lindsays that they could message me? Thanks!

TERRY,

Have a beautiful day!!!!

Ours is being tagged as an in-service day for teachers, but this is the 2nd year in a row we have had Yom Kippur off. I know we used to not have ANY days off between Labor Day and Thanksgiving, except for Fair Day, so this is relatively new.
If DS was in elementary I would have been VERY tempted to go to WDW this week. Elementary kids are out today AND Friday! Our Fair Day isn't until next Friday, because they separate the elementary and secondary.

YAY!

Happy Birthday, Terry!!!

Happy Anniversary, Jennifer & Jeff!

I am doing laundry today. Since the carpet guy is coming to clean tomorrow, and I was blindsided by the fact I have to work tomorrow, this is my last day to get things in order.

Thank you dear friends and everyone I missed!!!!

not sure when I will be able to really celebrate my birthday like going out to dinner but all of the posts here and on facebook were really nice to read all day

Ooh, there's a hot guy dancing on the TV in a dark purple suit. Donny, you are still hot after all these years!!!! I am going to have to actually break my streak and cast a vote.

He got good reviews from the judges.

:lmao: I love it!!!! He got my vote too!!!!!

Tammi - Both your kids really impressed me with their manners and behavior.
The Robotics class sounds really neat.

It's going to be a long day, I haven't been mentioning it, but they are still trying to find the problem with my car, Friday they came and got it from my work and replaced two parts, yesterday the Service Engine light came back on when I was headed to work,:headache:, they are going to come and get it again today, needless to say DH is ready to get rid of it, too bad it's not that easy.

They have assured me that the problem is in the evap system and won't cause any mechanical problems, it just has to do with emissions :confused3.

Have a good day!

I am so proud of my little man. Today was the first day of robotics. He got a ride home after, and was here about 1/2 before I got home. He was at the kitchen table, working on his homework. When I came in and saw him, it was like my little boy had disappeared and was replaced with a young man. In the 3 weeks of school he has shown such responsibility, when it comes to school work, being organized, and keeping track of his assignments and what needs to be done. Hopefully it's not a fluke and that it continues. I showered him with praise about how responsible he has been lately, so hopefully that was positive reinforcement.

:thumbsup2 Thats wonderful!!

Now if he can just help my 8th grader to be like that!!!:rotfl:
