Clare, the ADR isn't until 2 PM. If you want to join us you could always eat beforehand and just have a drink or something at Mama's. Just a thought.

Theresa, I hope urgent care is able to help!

2 PM sounds like the perfect time for some dessert. Yummy.

We don't really have any plans for after lunch, I'm seriously considering going to the Halloween party the night before. We'll do rope drop at the Studios and hit our favorites then join you for lunch at AK. We have another trip planned for November which is our longest trip and then we'll be back in December so it's not like we won't have a chance to do anything we miss. :goodvibes Richie actually enjoys meeting people so I don't think that will be a problem.

I just need to figure out when we would need to leave AK to be at the Festival Welcome Center for the 3:45 Jim Beam seminar.

So... I will leave it as it is for now, and try to make it earlier if it needs to be.

So here I am on the computer when I should be doing laundry, DH wants to go do something, I knew he would get antsy with 4 days off :lmao:.

Here's a start on a short report of our August trip,

You all read about the car incident, well it's also a tradition now for it to rain on our departure and sure enough this trip was no exception,

It rained on us for more than 200 miles, but in our Disney tradition the second leg of the trip was much better and here is what it looked like when we arrived at Disney,

This trip we stayed at Pop,

I had done online check-in, and when we arrived I got to go to the online check in counter with no wait whcih was nice, bu other than that there wasn't much difference.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we decided to go off property for lunch, we went to Joe's Crab Shack in Celebration, we had great service and good food at a decent price,

I had Fire balls for an appetizer, I didn't take a good picture but you can see DH's cheese sticks in the background,

IMG_0023-1.jpg

DH ate the fries since I'm not supposed to have them, :sad2:,

for an entree I had grilled chicken with shrimp, DH had fried shrimp with fries and hush puppies,

Of course we bought a T shirt for my youngest, she has a collection of Tees and they had one I knew she would really like.

Our room still wasn't ready when we got back from lunch, I really didn't want to head to our evening destination which was MK because I knew we would be out late with the Dessert party and I didn't want to have to unload the car and unpack that late, so we headed to DHS to renew our AP's, which are now good for 15 months, and went in for a while.

We went to the new AI attraction and both of us really enjoyed it,

IMG_0038-1.jpg

and of course we enjoyed watching the Citizens of Hollywood,

IMG_0052-3.jpg

Notice how nice the weather is in the DHS pictures, we got back to the resort, called for our room number and moved in. Just after we finished the weather changed, this is the view from our room,

IMG_0058.jpg

I was concerned about the dessert party, it would have been a real bummer if they had to cancel Wishes because of the weather.

After taking a break in the room while the monsoon was going on it finally slacked off enough so that we felt it was safe to head for MK, this is how it looked at the bus stop,

IMG_0061.jpg

We headed straight to Fontierland when we arrived at MK, after not riding Splash at all in May I was ready to make up some lost time, here's our Redneck photo,

IMG_0063-1.jpg

I really didn't take many pictures this trip, here's DH as we were heading back towards Main Street,

IMG_0070.jpg

I love this view of the castle,

IMG_0072.jpg

We made our way to Tomorrowland to line up for the party,

IMG_0073-2.jpg

We were given arm bands while waiting to enter the party and a small card that had our section on it, here's the view of the castle from our table,

IMG_0075.jpg

You can see parts of Spectro from the Terrace but you really can't see that well, I tried to get a picture of Chernabog for DH, this was taken from our table,

IMG_0081-1.jpg

Elizabeth and her family were a couple of tables behind us so they joined us at our table for the fireworks, except for her DH who was at the rail taking pictures, we enjoyed the party but as others have said it's not something we would repeat every trip. DH actually enjoyed most of the desserts, I had mine brought to me from the back because they wer sugar free, I felt a little guilty that I had sorbet and no one else did, the raspberry sorbet was delicious. Here's a picture of the fireworks that I took from our table,

IMG_0125-1.jpg

We got a good view of Tink as she flew over and Elizabeth's DS and I both voted for girl. :rotfl:

After the fireworks we sat and talked for quite a while waiting on the crowds to exit, we all headed to the buses together, said good night and headed back to the resort.

Debbie,,,,nice pictures :thumbsup2

I love that different shot of the castle :goodvibes

I went to the SuperWalmart and picked up a few groceries. It's further away than where I usually shop, but it is the only place I can get pancake and sausage on a stick for Colby. This afternoon Chris and I had a cocktail on the deck as it was a beautiful day. We ended up tossing the lacrosse ball around. My nephew showed up soon after we started so we placed monkey in the middle. Now I have to head off to work. Hopefully it will be a profitable evening.

It only took an hour at after hours care (lots of blue masks there) and the PA said she wasn't going to take x-rays because it's the same treatment either way. Officially I have cracked rib(s) and a rib brace and vicodin (but only 30 tablets:rolleyes1).

We then went out and about with my family....I gotta say I gotta bite my tongue with some of the things my sister does as a parent...but I have successfully done it.

Debbie -YAY for a trip report! :cool1:
I didn't remember it raining like that the day of the dessert party. We must have been asleep! :rotfl2: Your castle pics are really pretty. I am bummed the Splash pic of you and DS was "Washed Away". That would have been fun to see!

Theresa - I am glad you didn't have to wait long to be seen! I hope the meds help with the pain. :wizard:

Debbie-wonderful pictures!!! My youngest nephew is about Aubrey's age (I think) it's amazing how fast they grow up.

I am having a wonderful time. We left the local airport at 11:00 and we were checked into OKW by 2:30. This was even after we stopped in the airport and got a pound of Starbucks coffee.

We got in and rested for a few, then took the bus to HS and took the boat to the Boardwalk. We got there around 4:00. We had never been to the Boardwalk. We saw Cat Cora's place and decided we wanted to have breakfast there. We walked around and looked inside ESPN and some of the shops. We saw the Boardwalk DVC model. Our ressie at Flying Fish was for after 6:00, but we were hungry. We walked in at 5:15 and they said they could seat us sooner. YAY.

We went to the candy shop to freshen up and look at the cool photos on the wall. By the time we got back, they were seating everyone. (They didn't start seating until 5:30 sharp.) We had a wonderful server. He was so nice and so much fun. I had a pineapple upside down cake martini to die for. The meal was wonderful. It started pouring rain around 5:40 and it poured for about an hour. We watched it from our really cool window seat. After a magnificent meal, we came out to a beautiful clear evening. We watched a street juggler/magician. He was great. We took a bus to DTD, and then a bus back to OKW. We were in the room before 10:00. We decided to go and soak our poor aching backs in the hot tub. Came back and I showered and then did a face plant into the bed.

It is pouring now, we are back at teh room for a nap. MK is open late tonight and that is where we'll probably get some dinner. I'll have to share today at a later time.

TTYL, DDA. I am so glad I lugged the laptop.:woohoo::woohoo:

Debbie - I love that you are giving us a TR right here on the DDA thread! :goodvibes

Theresa - I am so glad you went to urgent care and got some attention. Let's hope the brace and meds help! And :yay: for keeping one's mouth shut when out and about with family. That is a good lesson to learn (or to teach others!).
