Hi!

Chanon and Lindsay, I'm so excited for you both! You will both be great moms.

All the trip plans sound like so much fun. I sure wish we hadn't had to cancel our Dec trip.

Deb, hope you get the computer fixed.

Jen, the sky diving sounds exciting. Can't wait to see pics.

Theresa, hooray for a great day, but I hope you feel better tomorrow!

Becky, hope the parasailing works out.

We went to a friends house tonight for a cookout and party to watch the Bama game. We beat the Hokies, so we are quite happy! John's brother and wife are here and leave tomorrow. No set plans for the rest of the weekend. Will likely head to the pool. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Claire, yay for Kidani! We are booked in a value 1 bedroom at Jambo for next year since I couldn't get concierge. Not sure what I will do if we have to switch our dates. We might end up doing a split between Kidani and Jambo depending on what's available.

We've got a savana studio and then we're moving over to OKW for a 1bed for the last few days. I'm really looking forward to seeing what it's like inside :yay:

Hi Claire, Stephanie and I will be at Coronado Springs on Friday, Dec 4 and Saturday, Dec 5, then on Sunday we will be on the Wonder and come back on Thursday, Dec 10 and stephanie will leave early Saturday morning, Dec 12 and I will leave Monday, Dec 14. It would be so awesome to see if we could meet!!!!!!

And I am at AKL on the 5th - 7th. It would be great to finally meet you, Clare!

I didn't realise there would be so many DDAers there - did I read somewhere on Elizabeth's TR that you were planning a big meet at DHS one day??

WOW!! What an amazing day!! here is my mini "trip report" of the day for those who asked..
.I cant believe I jumped out of a plane today--but i may be doing it again within the next 30 days! I am hooked!!!

Oh my goodness  Sounds like you had an awesome time - can't believe you're planning to do it again so soon! :worship:

Good Evening/Morning DDAers!!

We made it to Water World today...it was a great day to be there...beautiful weather and hardly any crowds. Would have been an awesome day if we didn't have 2 asthmatics in cruddy ozone trying to haul huge tubes up long hills. And then I seemed to have had a clutz moment and took a header into a pole. Well more like a header than my shoulder...hard enough to take my breath away and for me to hear (and feel) 3 pops of ribs. I also hit my elbow and knee..scraping them both good. Needless to say...if I don't feel better in the morning I am going to urgent care.

How are you feeling today? Is a trup to UC on the cards? :wizard: that everything is ok.

WOW!! What an amazing day!! here is my mini "trip report" of the day for those who asked..
We got to the place around 11:30 and could see the planes flying low so westarted to get nervous/excited. We signed our lives away, watched the safety video and then waited...for hours! Finally, around 2:00, the first group was called--This was myself and 4 people from our group and one guy we did not know. We got in our harnesses and got more safety briefing. I decided to get the video/pictures so we got interviewed and my mom took a ton of pictures as well. I met the guy that would be on my back--his name was Pancake! O geez, that scared me at first! My video guy was Brian. So up we go in the plane and Im looking at the guys I went up with and we are all thinking we are crazy by this point. They told me Ill be number 3 to jump. The first girl from our group went at 12,500 ft (I think) and then it moved so fast! The next guy (we didnt know) went and my guy told me it was us. So we get to the door, i wave goodbye to my friends and we were off! It was AMAZING!! It was such a great feeling, i cant even explain it. It was such a great 60 seconds of freefalling, the camera guy held my hand and we twisted and turned for awhile. he opened the parachute and we flew up! It was awesome! After that ,he took my goggles off and it was so peaceful up there--not a sound! He asked how I liked it and i was just in awe. We landed and the camera guy was in my face right away--i got some great footage!! I saw one of the guys i jumped with and we ran over to each other and s tarted hugging, high fiving and waiting for the rest of our group. We got our certificates and were in time to see my brother and his group go up in the plane. We waited for them to land, got our videos, and we were ALL on cloud 9--smiling from ear to ear..I cant believe I jumped out of a plane today--but i may be doing it again within the next 30 days! I am hooked!!!
WOW!!!! You did it! Sounds fun but I could never do it. What did your Mom think of watching you and your brother doing it?

We then went to watch my 3 nephews while Kristi and Chris went to the Rockies game. My nephews are so cute (they are kind of cookie cutter) but they are definitely 3 handfuls...Caleb is a cuddle bug (which is probably why I hurt more...he wanted held an awful lot).
:wizard:Hope you're feeling better today!!!

We have an ADR for 2pm at Mama Melrose on Saturday Dec 5th. Shall I call and add 2 more?

I didnt think I could do it either, but im SO glad I did! It was an amazing feeling. Im trying to figure out a way to get the video online because it is hysterical!!!
I asked my mom if it was weird watching us jump--she said it was, but she was so busy taking pictures (all the ones from the ground, in the beginning are from her..the last pictures wwere the photographer). but she said that just seeing my brother's face and my face afterwards was worth it!

Well good morning!! After 5 hours of sleep , i am back...exhausted, but here :) Im sleeping on the floor this week so iwont be getting much comfortable sleep at all. A family friend is here from out of town so i gave up my room and we dont have extra beds..so its gonna be a long week, but im glad he is is here so were good! Today we are going to 6 flags, which i think is going to be packed, but we'll see

Hi Clare, nice to see you posting!

Jen you did it :yay: My dad loved to sky dive, I remember watching him when I was younger. I did not get that bravery gene from him though lol

Theresa glad you all had fun yesterday, hope you are not to sore today.

Good morning. :)

Jen - It does sound amazing. I don't know if I would be able to do it though. I never thought about there not being any sound. Interesting.

Chanon and Lindsay - I'm so excited for both of you!

Theresa - I hate to say it, but I'm betting there are some broken ribs. If it hurts to inhale deeply, get thee to a doctor. If you cough or move just the right way, you will fall to your knees with pain.

Chris is green with envy. I'm glad that you did it. It is definitely not for me. I might have to arrange something with you for next summer as that is part of my super secret birthday plan for Chris' 40th.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Jen - I am glad you had so much fun yesterday!

Theresa - go to urgent care. You don't need any more aggravation, kiddo!

Clare - We are at HS on Saturday, Dec, 5. Would love to see you at Kidani or there!

Good morning, DDA!!!

Sorry to be MIA. I've been reading along just my brain has pretty fuzzy, all those good pain meds, lol!! Lots of 's and :wizard: all around!!

Surgery was last Monday. Things seem to be going well. Still sore & slow moving but, ok nonetheless.

Em started school on 8/24 and Mo on 8/28. Em loves her teacher and is enjoying that her cousin, Alex (my SIL's son) is in her class til the end of Sept. They just moved back here from England and are in the process of getting settled in VA. Mo absolutely loves kindergarten, big smiles going in and bigger smiles at the end of the day! Here is a link to some pics.

Girl Scouts started up again this week, being in charge of 2 troops may very well push me over the edge. But it's fun and the girls enjoy it (I do too!). Em's troop lost 3 girls but we've added 2 more, my niece and one of the other girl's cousin. We lost our 2 troublemakers, :yay:, and not one girl that is left was sad about it. :rolleyes1 So onward & upward. Mo's troop is chaotic, but 10 5 & 6 year olds and their moms, it's just how it is. Once I get a routine established it should go smoothly.

I will be on the hunt for a part time job very soon, just going to give myself this next week to recover.

We are going to my aunt's for a cookout this afternoon. The weather is gorgeous so it will make for a nice day.

So there it is...

Thank you for this fabulous ditto, Elin! :goodvibes

Good morning, DDA!

Theresa - I hope you're feeling ok this morning, if not you should definitely go get checked out

Anne Marie - how is Katie feeling?

Claire - Good to see you

Denise - Good to see you too, I'm sure DH is happy about the game, I had a houseful last night so he hid in the back bedroom to watch the game, we know better than to bother him when he's watching his team.

Of course I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to take some pictures,

Brandon is funny about taking pictures, some days he will cooperate and others he wants nothing to do with them, he wasn't in the mood for pictures this weekend but here's one I managed to get,

And Aubrey is now big enough to use the baby swing, when we first put it up she was way too little, if you look closely you can see she has two teeth now,

I love the way she's pointing in this one,

Robyn - It was good to see you posting. I am glad the girls are enjoying school. How is Lucy doing? I am also glad to hear that you are on the mend. Good luck with your job hunt.

Debbie - I loved the pictures. :lovestruc Not long now before we meet one another for real!! I hope our DHs can stand us yakking for a couple of hours! Our ADR is 12:15 and we don't have a F&W seminar until 3:45. Maybe I ought to try for an earlier lunch time!! That would give us more time. But it would mean less early morning time at HS for you and Richie. I am assuming you are going back over there after our lunch. Would you rather have more morning time and then come to AK at noon or eat earlier and have more afternoon time at HS??

We don't really have any plans for after lunch, I'm seriously considering going to the Halloween party the night before. We'll do rope drop at the Studios and hit our favorites then join you for lunch at AK. We have another trip planned for November which is our longest trip and then we'll be back in December so it's not like we won't have a chance to do anything we miss. :goodvibes Richie actually enjoys meeting people so I don't think that will be a problem.

and that is why I am going to Urgent Care shortly....I had 3 spasms last night before falling asleep...I know I have a high tolerance for pain but these things would have made me cry had I not known that it would hurt to do so.

We have an ADR for 2pm at Mama Melrose on Saturday Dec 5th. Shall I call and add 2 more?

I just checked the menu and it doesn't look like Lee or I would eat anything! I'll put DHS in the plan for the 5th and we'll be sure to find y'all either on your way into or out of the restaurant though :yay:

and that is why I am going to Urgent Care shortly....I had 3 spasms last night before falling asleep...I know I have a high tolerance for pain but these things would have made me cry had I not known that it would hurt to do so.

Let us know what they say :grouphug:

Clare, the ADR isn't until 2 PM. If you want to join us you could always eat beforehand and just have a drink or something at Mama's. Just a thought.

Theresa, I hope urgent care is able to help!
