DDA Chapter 22

Here is what else I book:
Tues 12/1 Coral Reef 3:55pm-I might need to change this to something else. I could only do this or 8pm which I don't want. The flight we are thinking of taking doesn't land until 2:39 and delays are possible with a December flight. We'll use a town car to Pop but it will be near impossible to get to Coral Reef in time.....BUT...I also booked an extra reservation for our last day in case we miss this one and have extra points.

Wed 12/2 CP 8:25am (this was the earliest we could get-I figure we can still get there at 8:00.....)

Wed 12/2 Boma 6:15pm

Thu 12/3 5:30 California Grill (out of pocket)

Fri 12/4 Flying Fish 6:00pm

Sun 12/6 Le Cellier 4:20pm I wanted later but was happy to get this....

Mon 12/7 departure day looking at 3:30pm flight Crystal Palace 10:20 am. I know Dornida, Ralph & Lizzy would love to do this meal again if we have extra points.....

Good Morning DDA!!!

With the fires in California comes a haze in Colorado that seems to be semi-permanent...which makes it harder to breathe for Abi and I and in turn has contributed to a migraine I think. Man I've been a whiny puss lately.:sad2:

My sister BIL and nephews are coming to town this weekend. :cool1:

Migraines are no fun, take care of your self.

:woohoo: that relatives are coming to visit!!!

Bernadette - I bet Emma loves her new dress. Hopefully the kids all got off to school and will have had a great day!

And :yay: for Mama Melrose!!! Thanks for making the ADR. :goodvibes I can't wait to see you again, as well as Stephanie and Terry. Debbie and Richie will be old friends by then since we will meet next month (:teeth:) and I finally get to meet Elizabeth and her family. How much fun will we have?!? :yay:

Its great isn't it? we have yet to see the lights, so I was excited to see them start so early.

Heidi - I just saw that the Osbourne lights start November 10th this year, that means we'll get to see them our November trips. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Debbie, John and I did the Backstage Magic Tour and had a great time, you get to see and learn so much. The only reason I would do the KTTK tour is if money was an issue.

Theresa that is a great picture and I think would be great for the yearbook.

Bernadette - Your ADRs look good! :thumbsup2 I would keep trying to move that Coral Reef one, unless you prefer to do CP on your departure day.

I was in the middle of hashing out the CP dinner vs. lunch thing with DH when the carpool line started moving, and when the line moves there are no cell phones allowed. So I guess we'll finish that discussion later.

Ok I realise that my post on the tours sounds snooty, but I really believe you get a lot more for your money with the Backstage Magic Tour. But of course I understand that not everyone can afford the $200 pp for that tour.

Cassidy's picture is beautiful, Theresa.

Elizabeth - why are you indecisive about CP?

Oh. I've been able to get in there on MVMCP nights. We ate there and then had just enough time to get over in front of the castle for the lighting of it. Good luck.

I know we ate there the year we did MNSSHP. I know we had lunch there in Dec. '07. We probably ate there for dinner before MVMCP in '06. But with ADRs being 90 days and with the stupid online thing I do not feel confident about getting dinner this time. And the more I think about going to Citrico's and then fighting my way back IN to MK as all the day guests are being forced OUT...:sad2::scared1:

Better to stay in the park.

 You haven't been a whiny puss lately. I have been a whiny puss which is why I haven't been posting. I'm sure that no one is interested in how I've been mistreated spectacularly at work once again and yet still don't have the cahonies to leave. Sometimes I start to wonder how many times I'll let them kick me in the teeth and come up smiling.

The picture of Cassidy is great!

Bernadette, I love the first day of school dress! Sometimes I wish I still had a little girl that I could sew adorable, little dresses for.

I am so excited for everyone planning trips! And just a tiny bit jealous, too. Mostly excited, though.

I'm excited for DDA babies! And just a tiny bit jealous, too. Mostly excited, though.

I really want to do the Backstage Magic Tour someday. Maybe next time we go, I can take the older two. I've been waiting for Laura to turn 16, and now she is.

When will you be there?

11/14-11/22 :)

We're attempting to eat at Tony's before MVMCP on 11/15. It's a 5:45 p.m. ADR which is later than we'd like, but we're hoping if we check in a little early, we won't have to rush too much.

Theresa, beautiful picture! :goodvibes Are there no backdrop rules for your yearbook? We had a "yearbook photographer" for consistency reasons (and it definitely helped that he gave me all 400 pictures, rather than my having to get all those parents and seniors to cooperate). You didn't have to use him for senior pictures, and he charged a minimal fee ($10, I think) for a quick yearbook session.

Beth, I'm sorry that the mistreatment continues at your school. :grouphug: I hope the kids manage to put a smile on your face. :grouphug:

Bernadette, love the dress! :thumbsup2

Apparently someone was on a crime spree here last night. He or they were trying to break into homes (on our street even :scared1:) and eventually they stole a truck and that wound up flipped upside down in a ditch. We think they caught at least one person, not sure about more. We can't seem to find any official reports, just word of mouth amongst neighbors.

here is the list of requirements:

 Senior must be centered in the photo facing the camera with both eyes visible.
 Pose must be a waist-up shot. No knees in frame. No hands near the face.
 Senior clothing and jewelry must fit school dress code guidelines and be “school appropriate.” Additionally, no hats will be permitted.
 No soft focus. No vignettes.
 No props (animals, sunglasses, or additional people in photo).
 Background must be simple and uncluttered. Outdoors is preferable.
 No texture, name stamping, or embossing.
 Photo must be able to print at 2-1/4” x 3-1/4” with a head size of 1/2” from bridge of the nose to the tip of the chin. We will NOT accept photos with head sizes over the 1/2” requirement or that cannot be cropped to fit the requirement. Meaning, photos must be waist up, with no full head shots. Full head shots cannot be cropped and appear larger in the yearbook than in print.

They also have a list of preferred photographers who charge (at the cheapest) $150 :rolleyes1

I am sorry your job is spectacularly unappreciative of you.
