What park will everyone be in that morning? Could I meet you all somewhere? There is nowhere, except the Mara, at AKL for lunch. I like it there, but it is silly for you all to head to AKL from the parks, I think.

Thanks my very first thought was OKW then I started thinking about the different christmas decorations and such.

You can see the Christmas decorations at all the resorts. But there is lots more room at OKW in each unit. At least, that is my opinion!

Lunch, yes. Location - anywhere that is easy for us all to get to. My flight gets in at 11:15 and I will be using a towncar company to get to AKL. Does that give you a time frame to work with?

Hmm. Probably at least 15 minutes to deplane and find your driver, 30-ish minutes to AKL, 30-ish minutes to check in and get settled, another hour-ish for travel if needed, yep! 1:30 should work for a lunch meet, hopefully with time to spare! :goodvibes

We will have a car, so we could get to whatever location suits everyone.

I agree. Mara is not a "destination" lunch! :rotfl2:

what parks are you all in that morning?

I think we are getting the car, stopping to see Mr Art at BC and then HS or Epcot. We will end the day at Epcot.

I made it through the funeral. They had asked for people to speak and it was all men....I couldn't not speak...she is my first close friend that has passed away..which is why I think it's hitting me harder than it might have usually. Suzann loved all of the same authors and tv shows so we never ran out of things to talk about. What a glorious spirit!!

The boys survived day two. The older boys have a bunch of homework tonight. I'm off to work soon so hopefully they can stay focused long enough to get their homework done.

Jennifer I would pick OKW for your stay, but I love that resort. We also like SSR. Someday we hope to try BCV, but that is more expensive. AKV and VWL would be our last choices. It's funny how we all have different likes. We also didn't car for BWV, but that my just have been do to the location of our room and that fact that we had 2 strollers, way way too much walking to get to an elevator, totally not worth it to us.

Theresa-sorry about your losses

Janet-Hope you are feeling better

We just found out that skydiving is now on Saturday--weather looks good as of now! Tomorrow is back to work for me--We have meetings and workshops for the next three days.
Hope the weather cooperates!

It's a slight adaptation on Vicki's "Great Aunt Bess' Banana Bread"
Mix:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil (Vicki's is for shortening)
2 beaten eggs
4 T milk
dash salt

Add:
3 soft bananas
Add:
1 t soda
2 cups flour
1 pkg chopped nuts (optional)

Bake 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. It's done with toothpick comes out clean. Makes one large loaf.

**When I have 4 larger bananas or 5 smaller ones, I make a batch and a half and bake it in two pans. The loaves are still nice sized that way. Plus, I usually add about 1/2-3/4 cup of chocolate chips to one loaf per Terra's request. It is really yummy and our favorite recipe! THANKS VICKI!

Good job on finishing your homework quickly, Deb! Amazing how much homework Mom gets during that first week, huh.

Hi Denise! We miss seeing you! How are the kids liking 3rd grade (that's right, isn't it?)? How's work?
Thanks! They love 3rd grade. Hard to believe they are so big. They are all in the same class, and really like their teacher. BK is taking art, Rees is in gymnastics, and Davis is playing flag football. They are all doing choir and Scouts.

Work is work. Love the NICU and the people I work with. Hate it interrupting my life and being sleep deprived all the time. I work 3 nights a week and am gone around 14 hours. It is worth it to see the kids after school. Our census is low (only 70-80 babies- our average is 100+), and we are being mandatory called off around 1 time per paycheck. I have been taking care of some super sick babies (500 gm/ less than 1 pound) and on all kids of support (Oscillator vent, Nitric, pressors, millions of meds). It's tough, but worth it.

This site has some pretty good recipes:

Thanks! I need some new crockpot recipes.

hi Denise, good to see you post!

Jen my fingers are crossed that Sat. is a go!

I am taking off work tomorrow as well, so now I do not have to be back till Thursday. I should be better by then, if not I will put a call into the Dr.
Hope you feel better, Janet!

Hi Denise,,,,good to see you. How are the kids doing?
Hi, Terry.

Thank you all for the hugs...I knew I could come to you...I am sure you on facebook can see my wall if you wanted and realize why I wish I could figure out how to defriend my dad.

Tomorrow's funeral will be the first one Cassidy has gone to. I told both Abi and her about it and gave them the choice of going or not. I think Abi would go if she knew that she wouldn't get emotional. She may still choose to go but as of right now she doesn't want to. Suzann was one of the girl's favorite front desk ladies also.

I do have a beef-when has did it become acceptable to go to a funeral in casual clothes??:sad2: It was embarrassing what some people wore today.
:grouphug:

morning!!! off to work i go!

janet--how are you feeling today
Have a great 1st day.

Thanks Elin & I am!

How is your daughters toe?

Riley is fully healed, just a few scabs left & luckily I do not think he will have any scarring!

The said bicycle is going in the trash. Garrett decided to ride it yesterday while with his friends & it did the same thing to him. Thank goodness he had better control of it & was not hurt. The bike is cursed lol
Glad Riley was ok!:scared1:

I would throw the bike out too, Janet! ::yes::

Her toe seems to be healing nicely. We will find out more tomorrow morning when she has her follow-up with the doctor.

I just realized that 30 days from now Bob and I will be headed to the airport for our flight the next morning. Wow, that came up fast all of a sudden!
:cool1:

Here is a link to the Fantasyland rumors. Unfortunately it doesn't have anything to do with Marvel, but still interesting nonetheless.

Very interesting.

Theresa - It just has to be the last thing you say out loud the night before and the first thing you say out loud in the morning.

So I see Dec. hours are out! I am pleased with the way the hours line up with our plans for the most part. I will say that since MGM closes at 8 PM on Saturday it will be tricky to get to dinner and the Osborne Lights. We may need to rethink that. My Tusker House breakfast has been derailed by AM EMH, but hey! I'll take an extra hour of park time! :thumbsup2
:cool1:

I got my return flights, at a good price too!

I was looking at the refurb rumors. My kids are going to be mad. It looks like CP will be closed for Jan/Feb. Maybe it won't close until after Jan. 6.
Sorry CP will be close.

Good morning, DDA!

Elizabeth - I need a wish action that doesn't involve remembering something. Got any of those? I can barely remember the night version when you post it right before I got to bed, let alone remember to speak again in the morning. ;)

Theresa - I'm glad the girls are going with you today. I hope Abi is okay.

Janet - That bike would be out the door for me too! There's something crazy going on there. Glad Riley is healing well!

YEAH for DDA Baby month! I'm so excited! I had a dream last night that Chanon called me about something last night and was telling me about her baby boy. Do we know what she's having or is it surprise? I can't remember back that far in my old age. ;)
Babies are always fun! :thumbsup2

We lost a group of drs in may they averaged aprox. 100 deliveries a month. So we have been having a lot of forced Home on calls. That is why my facebook posts have been saying hope I get to work.
We are being mandatory called off 1 time every 2 weeks or so. NO pay. I feel your pain. Do you get paid when you are on call at home?

 Glad you spoke. I'm sure your friend knew you were there.

Cat Cora's, Mama Melrose, 50s Prime Time or Cape May in the private room! I have a feeling we'll be at MGM also during the day. EPCOT Illuminations that evening or if we can Fantasmic and Osborne Lights.:banana::banana:

I've got to get to the eye doctor. 80 more hours and it will be my day for WDW!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

If we have PTO then we will get paid. PTO can be used for HOC, sick time or vacation. I acru almost 8hrs every 2 weeks.

I think any one of those 4 would work! Is Cape May open for lunch??

Anyone care to cast a vote for place over another?

We are getting called off so fast, nobody has PTO. We earn 1 day (12hrs) PTO per month. I was out 4 weeks from July to Aug (had precancerous growth removed from my hand), and had no PTO. Only got 2 weeks of STD. It was not good.
