I just heard that a funeral for one of my favorite volunteers is in about an hour...so I went and took a quick shower and hope my hair dries fast enough.

I am sure I told you all about Carol and her valiant multi year fight with cancer (including the removal of some of her mouth). She lost the battle last week and it saddens me.

So very sorry to read this Theresa.

I got to the funeral a little bit early and I am glad I did....I was told my absolute favorite person had suddenly passed away and her funeral is tomorrow morning. Suzann was always one of the few people who knew everything about me and was a book fiend too. I am pretty sure other things are contributing but I am heartbroken and a blubbering mess right now.

Oh Theresa, this is just so sad. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friends. Major hugs.

So I set the alarm to but up at 5:45am to make my ADRs today only today isn't 9/2. I've known all along my 90 day window was 9/2 so I don't know I got it in my head that today was the day. Guess it was good practice for tomorrow.

Thank you all for the hugs...I knew I could come to you...I am sure you on facebook can see my wall if you wanted and realize why I wish I could figure out how to defriend my dad.

Tomorrow's funeral will be the first one Cassidy has gone to. I told both Abi and her about it and gave them the choice of going or not. I think Abi would go if she knew that she wouldn't get emotional. She may still choose to go but as of right now she doesn't want to. Suzann was one of the girl's favorite front desk ladies also.

I do have a beef-when has did it become acceptable to go to a funeral in casual clothes?? It was embarrassing what some people wore today.

I'm glad you are letting the girls decide whether they feel up to going or not, it is very difficult

As far as how people dress & this is just my opinion As long as people are not wearing smelly, tattered clothes I do not think it matters. What matters is that you are there to show support to the family & friends of the lost loved one & to be able to say goodbye one last time.
