Deb - I am glad you are almost packed.

It is HOT here. already 96 with a heat index of 111. Our poor old AC is struggling.

It is cooler in WDW!!

The breakout session I went to was on moving to Disney World. I am so determined that this is going to happen. Now I have to make it so, as Captain Jean Luc Piccard was always fond of saying.

I will be so happy for you when this does happen, but very jealous lol

Is this news to you all or just new to me since I was away??

Starting October 27, 2009, Walt Disney World will move the booking window for Advanced Dining Reservations to 180 days, from the current 90 days. Walt Disney World resort guests will be able to book all dining reservations 180 days in advance of the day they check in, up to 10 days at a time. Non-Disney World Resort guest can make dining reservations 180 days in advance of their dining date.

Currently, some popular restaurants such as Le Cellier and Cinderella’s Royal Table are nearly impossible to find, even calling first thing 90 days in advance. This move should allow those who plan well in advance plenty of opportunity to book the reservations they want.

Starting on October 27, 2009, guests will be able to book dining reservations up until April 25, 2010.

Rumor is that at the time of the change, all dining reservations will require a credit card guarantee. No official announcement has been made, I will update this post if/when that change is announced.

I have not been keeping up with things very well lately, so this is new to me!

last night I read it was an unconfirmed rumor from a a site in Utah. That thread was closed....not sure if it's true or not.

ETA...I'd be happy if this was true!

I will stay neutral till I see what type of cancellation policy goes with this. I can understand why with all the no shows they probably get. But stuff does come up last minute & I hate being charged for something that I had no control over.

I see a lot less ADR's being made in the future if this is true, which may be there point lol

So it turns out that the Camry does not qualify for the CARS program. One site did have it as allowed, which is the site my brother was looking at. My van does qualify, but we decided that we are happy with what we have so we'll stick with that. My brother and his wife are turning in their 4 Runner and trading in their Rav 4 for a Sienna so they are pretty happy about that. Hopefully that will be a done deal early in the week.

We had a great day at Six Flags, but it was crazy crowded. We expected that. We did the early entry into Hurrican Harbor and hit the slides as they opened each section. We did most of what we wanted in about 4 hours then casually strolled around the parking hitting some rides with no lines. We left the park around 5:30 and were home by 8. Hunter felt sick in the car and by the time we got home I was vomiting. I've got to say that it felt like food poisoning sick. Hunter and I both had a funnel cake with vanilla ice cream and we're wondering if it was the ice cream. Colby ate some of the plain funnel cake and was fine :confused3 After about an hour I managed to fall asleep and I am fine today :confused3 Oh well, it was a nice family day anyway.

Glad you all had fun minus the sickies on the way home!

It was so nice seeing Elin and Becky :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

What a wonderful time we all had. I really wish I could say can't wait until next year, but we probably won't be able to swing the cruise. Afterall, we're doing the birthday transatlantic!!! :cake: party:

As you see by my tag, I'm not happy unless I'm planning another trip, so it is with great giddiness that I can say, I go to Disney next month!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hope everyone has a pleasant day. Take care DDA.

It is so good to see you posting Stephanie, I miss your cheerfulness :goodvibes

:woohoo: for your trip next month!

Hi DDA!!!

I am still smiling from yesterday. What a fantastic day!!!!

I keep thinking about the Magic Meet Cruise. I can say Stephanie and I are spoiled. We looked at the cabin sizes and they are way smaller than the ones on the Disney Cruise ships. But to be with Fred Block and Lou Mongello and everyone else would make up for that. What to do What to do..:confused3

Bob said he would like to go. I am sitting on this a bit before committing. I was not happy about losing the $65 from this past weekend and besides, I am not sure I want to go with him! :rotfl2:

Hmmm, sounds like you Stephanie, & Terry should plan a trip together :thumbsup2

ETA: Maybe Becky as well!

Our little heatwave started yesterday! The good news it is suppose to break tomorrow. I have gotten spoiled not having the AC on & the windows open.

July 22-26 on Royal Caribbean. If you go to that website the info is there for a Grandeur of the Seas. MEI prices are slightly higher, due to MagicMeets fees, I would hope. On RCL we could book a balcony for $899pp but the MM/MEI rate is about $985.

Elin-The Grandeur is the ship I just got off of yesterday! If you end up having any questions about the ship itself, let me know and Ill try to answer

What category stateroom did you have?

What category stateroom did you have?

For this trip, I was in a large interior stateroom on deck 8, mid ship..It was actually perfect for the 2 of us..i missed having a window, but it was so nice to be so dark when we were ready to sleep!

Here are a few pictures from Magicmeets. I managed to have a dead battery in my camera, and forgot the charger. I hope these are not huge for you, as they are for me.

Strawberry Daquiri at Aroogas, it was huge. Mind you I tried to get a Mojito here and at the hotel, neither had mint leaves:confused3

Jen I hope you are safe from the storms, seems like they were to be quite bad.

We had some thunder and a pour down, but nothing like they said NJ was going to get.

If we go, we will book a balcony. Bob is a smoker so that is an issue for us. Hard to find places to go on a ship! Thanks, Jen!

I wish it would rain here. It is so stinkin' hot! Still 85 with a heat index of 100. Our AC has not shut off in hours. :sad2:

I started my Pre-Trip report. The link is beside my name in my signature. :goodvibes
