DDA Chapter 22

My dear hubby was gone for over eight days. Four with his Navy buddies, home for a day and then he went on a trip with his brother and cousin to visit minor league stadiums and watch a game or two.. I called him today and he had bought steaks. It seems that after four days, he has had his fill of stadium food!!!

I must admit I sure loved the alone time. No snoring to contend with.

well hello there strangers! I thought I'd stop by and say hello - I've been chatting away on Facebook but have been so busy that I never seem to have chance to stop by this comfy old spot.

I wanted to ask y'all something. I've 'met' another wonderful Disney fan via my website and I wondered if you'd mind if I invited her to come and join in the fun here? I think sh'd be a perfect addition to our DDA family. Ler me know what y'all think and I'll tell her the path she needs to take to get here.

I'm hoping life is going to slow down for me a little in the coming weeks so I'm going to make a concerted effort to stop by and catch up with everything that's been happening with my favourite DDA friends.

All this facebook talk, when I joined it was because my sister kept bugging me and a lot of the DDA were talking about it.

I know a lot of ya all like that you were able to reconnect with people from your past, but there is no one from my past that I want to reconnect with so I don't miss it.

We had a preschool meeting today. There is a possibility that we'll have an afternoon class on Tuesdays/Thursdays, so I could potentially get a few more hours each week. That will be a big help...now to find something for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays that is flexible enough.

I hope you can find something that works out!

Robyn I somehow missed your post about falling down, hope your soreness goes away quickly!

I have facebook but I rarely post there. Most times I forget I even have it I tried twitter for like 2 days & did not like that at all so that account is closed. My preference is to post right here

I'm still alive....I have had major stress in my life for the last month+...I am just now getting back into posting any where.

Hi everyone. It is so busy at work and then I come home and fall asleep at the computer!!!!

So Hal was getting ready to go on a road trip to meet up with two Navy buddies he knew when he was stationed in Hawaii. I remember the two. Nice guys.

Before he left, I told him I was getting sick and tired of our old ice maker. It was not working right. There was a leak and black stuff was peeling off from the inside. If I did not keep an eye on it, there would be nothing but a big chunk of ice and no cubes. I told him he had to get a new ice maker or else. His reply was--so I have to work? I told him either that or he will have no ice!!! he replaced it two days later. I made sure to show him how nice it was to have a full container of ice cubes.

I love a good ice maker!! So glad you enjoyed your alone time. Hope your daughter feels better!

So Stephanie and I made our final plans for our trip in December.

Friday, Dec 4 arrive and go to the MK. Dinner at Narcoosees at 7:30 and then watch Wishes.
Saturday, Dec 5 go to HS get fast passes for Toy Story and then get in the stand by line. Grab a bite to eat and go over to Epcot. Early dinner and back to HS to watch Fantasmic. Sunday--get to the ship and get ready for four fun filled days. That Thursday, Dec 10 get back to CS, Crystal Palace for dinner to get in early for the christmas party. Friday Dec 11 end up watching the CP and hear Andy Garcia. Then watch illuminations. That Saturday, Stephanie leaves and I stay at CS and my one sister Cheryl comes over from St Pete and we will do the christmas party that night and on Sunday we will go to Epcot. This year I want to visit each of the countries and hear their christmas story. Then I come home on Monday, Dec 14.

We would love to meet with anyone who will be there those days.

Looks like a lot of fun!!

It is Friday for me too. And tomorrow I leave for MagicMeets. Without going into a long story, I am going alone. Bob backed out at the last minute and my feelings are hurt. Remember last month when everyone was commenting on the two of us making it through 36 years of wedded bliss and I said something along the lines of "it isn't always easy" ??? Well, this is one of those times.

The upside of this turn of events is that I get to spend two days with Terry and Stephanie and Becky and Penny (chaoscent!). So that will be a very nice time for all of us without men clogging up the works.

I'm glad that there is an upside! Dh and I had words last night, because I couldn't get a straight answer on whether he is coming to my parents' this weekend. He claimed that he did say he was going all along and that I'm grumpy. Two of my three confirmed that I am grumpy a lot, and the third has enough brains in his head to stay far, far away from the whole thing. (He didn't give me a straight answer all along, by the way, but we're passed it.)

My only advice is to be there at opening. You can get through most of the park within the first 2 hours, save the wave pool for later as you can still do that when the lines are uber long. Have fun.
