DDA Chapter 22

Haven't been for a very long time, and now with the boards not working half the time, its even less.

the boards are driving me crazy....and I have the time to sit here and watch them load as I look for a job...I know you all don't so it must be harder for you all.

Deb with my stomach trouble I wanted to be sick but instead my entire body got hot, then cold and clammy. Once I got hot the nausea went away.

You guys have mentioned that no one seems to be posting. I've noticed that when people go away now they tell us they will post on facebook while they are away. DIS used to be the first place we all went Even back in the day of slow servers and dial up. Maybe fall will bring us all back together I don't facebook so I still hang out here. I don't Facebook either, so you're "stuck" with me as often as I can get on. I'll try to be more faithful about checking in, but my life isn't all that exciting in type.

We had a preschool meeting today. There is a possibility that we'll have an afternoon class on Tuesdays/Thursdays, so I could potentially get a few more hours each week. That will be a big help...now to find something for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays that is flexible enough.

facebook has applications that allow people to update their status and receive messages by phone, as well as upload and post photos from a phone. I am sure this is why our friends opt to post there while they are away.

I come here and to facebook when I get on the web. But when I travel from now on I will probably not take my laptop. It is too costly to have internet service at WDW when you can use your phone to keep tabs for free.

That being said... I miss the faces who have opted to use facebook almost exclusively. I don't understand why it would be so difficult to stop in here and post a couple of times a week. It makes me sad.

Thanks! I have feelers out to another preschool. Think any retail place would even look at me for part time hours that don't include weekends (or Tuesdays/Thursdays)? I can't give up cross country meets in the fall, and there will be several synchro weekends to plan around Jan-June.

I am with Elin....I miss the ones who have moved almost over exclusively to Facebook....I use Facebook for the superficial updates of my life...or the ones when I just need to go ARRRRGH!! I have friends over there that know what is going on at home that don't come over here...I know it's a strange thought...friends outside of the DDA. But I also update over there with stuff that would bore you all to death (like band parent specific stuff)....and you get the full story over here.

I've noticed though that the ones who are missing here are also pretty MIA over there.

I have facebook but I rarely post there. Most times I forget I even have it I tried twitter for like 2 days & did not like that at all so that account is closed. My preference is to post right here

My dad's 72nd birthday is tomorrow, so we'll head there for the weekend. I have no idea what to give him. I'm going through some photos now, because I always give him some pictures of the kids. Maybe I'll give him an iTunes gift card. I know that he loves his iPod, but I don't know if he actually buys music or apps. I need to stop putting things off all the time. Maybe that will be a fall resolution.

The pool wants more money than we can possibly afford with almost half our swimmers gone. (Did I tell you about the one coach leaving and talking a bunch of girls with her?) We did talk the pool people down some for this year. Then we'll have to raise the fees a little, and the club has some in savings that will help cover the shortfall. We hope we can recruit more younger swimmers to help for the future.
