Elin glad you had a great evening. Love Bobs excuse :rotfl:

Robyn yea for Mo's cast coming off! Hope all goes well with your surgery :wizard:

Steph I think you secretly have something going on with TBA :rolleyes1

Elizabeth I hope your last couple days of work goes quickly!

So I looked at who was performing at House Of Blues while I am there in September...

09/06/09 10:30AM Gospel Brunch w/ TBD (10:30 am) House of Blues Orlando Lake Buena Vista FL

My group... TBD!!!!!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I would say this group is going to think you are stalking them, Stephanie! :rotfl:

Mo's cast comes off today! And just in time as she starts ballet/tap class tonight.

I finally got my surgery scheduled for Aug 31st. Now just to convince my doctor that I "need" a night in the hospital to recover.

And I have gotten a few phone calls looking for daycare (all part time, but enough kids that it's the same amount of $) so I/m hopeful there may only be a few tight weeks.

Sounds like things are looking up this morning, Robyn. I am very glad. :goodvibes

Elizabeth - almost time! :yay:

It sounds like DS has a diva in the making in his scene. She probably has a stage Mom or Dad pushing her from behind... or dragging her from the front too. Too bad he didn't get to do the "Odd Couple" scene instead. Sounds "meatier" and more fun.

I wish I had a video camera running in the car when Kristin finally got Bob to realize what day it was. :rotfl2: I had said, no less than three times, something to the effect that I had been doing this or we had been going there for 36 years. No reaction at all. When we picked Kristin up at work I told her there was no knowledge at all and she got it immediately. Bob finally figured out we were talking about him but it took two more nudges from her about a celebratory atmosphere for him to look at his watch in a panic and yell, "Oh, darn!" (he didn't say darn, but if I wrote what he said it would look like this: **** ;) )

We had a good time with better than average food and beer. It was our first foray into a new “authentic British Pub” in our ‘burg.

Atmosphere was great with light fixtures that caught the eye, lots of wood and a fun ceiling!

Unbeknownst to us we had arrived during Happy Hour so our pints were half price (the better to drink two, you know!) Most of my pictures are not particularly good and I will skip the worst of the lot!

Boddington’s….. yum!

We had an interesting appetizer: Tavern Crisps ~ House-made crisps (potato chips) topped with English farmhouse Cheddar, bacon, scallions and Pub BBQ sauce. The crisps were crispy and the toppings were plentiful.

Kristin had a Cotswold Chicken Sandwich made with a Worcestershire-marinated chicken breast, rashers of bacon, grilled onions and Swiss Cheese on a toasted onion bun. It came with a pickle and chips (big fries). No photo. It looked nice, she liked it, it was eaten!

Bob and I each chose the Fish and Chips. It was as good as Rose & Crown’s. I have had better, but this was good. No complaints at all.

We all split a Guinness Brownie Sundae that was fine. Very dense, dark chocolate brownie. Almost like a flourless cake in texture. It came with vanilla-bean ice cream, chocolate sauce and almonds. Again, nice but not amazing.

We got exactly what we were after. Nice food, good beer and a fun location to spend a couple of hours. The price was very good, we thought. The total bill (without gratuity) was under $70. We will go again. They have an amazing bar but the pictures are just awful:

I will try to rectify that next time. ;)

It sounds like DS has a diva in the making in his scene. She probably has a stage Mom or Dad pushing her from behind... or dragging her from the front too. Too bad he didn't get to do the "Odd Couple" scene instead. Sounds "meatier" and more fun.

Apparently she made a comment that her parents are BOTH teachers AND actors. DS said they obviously have not bothered to TEACH her how to ACT. He hasn't ever had the misfortune of having a class with her before, so she may just be there for camp. He doesn't want to take Fall Improv if she is going to be there, so I am not quite sure how to approach that. I guess I will ask the center director point blank if this girl is enrolled for Fall. :confused3 Those classes are expensive (and non-refundable), so I don't want to enroll him if he is going to hate going every week.

The pub looks like fun!! :goodvibes

Great pictures Elin!

Jen hope you have a wonderful time!

Stephanie - It's a good thing you enjoy "TBD" so much! :rotfl2:

Tia - Hope a good night's sleep took care of your headache!

Elin - Sounds like you had a nice evening, in spite of Bob's memory issues! ;)

If I survive today we are leaving for WDW in 72 hours!

This afternoon we have the mean kid coming over to play. And since I am working late I don't know what time I will finish work tonight. It won't be pretty! :scared:
Tomorrow I just have to deal with the exterminator. And as far as I know, Friday is still just an hour in the AM and then I am done!

DS has 2 theater shows on Friday since he is dual enrolled in camp. He is disappointed with the way things are going in the Scene class. On Monday he had been told he would read the part of "Felix" in "The Odd Couple" and he was REALLY excited. He also had another part where he is a husband plagued by the ghost of his dead wife, and his current wife thinks he is nuts. Yesterday the instructors decided they only have time for the students to have one role, so they cut "Odd Couple". He doesn't like the girls in the other scene, so overall he is not very happy.:sad2: Luckily this is only a 5 day camp. It sounds like the one girl is a piece of work.

I'm sorry DS couldn't perform the role he wanted. Good luck today. "Go, Go, Go" is your motto for today. ;)

Thanks Janet!

I would say this group is going to think you are stalking them, Stephanie! :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Robyn-Glad Mo's cast comes off today-yay!!

Well that is exciting ;)

But the question is..are you packed ;):rotfl:

I leave TOMORROW!!

Good morning!

Thanks Jen!! You'll be so close, yet so far tomorrow! What time do you arrive here and then sail?

Sounds like things are looking up this morning, Robyn. I am very glad. :goodvibes

Thanks Elin! I hope they stay that way.

So the cast is off. Mo is sporting a nice reverse Farmer's tan. She is not happy to have Farmer's skin as she called it! Her elbow still has a slight fracture. No bike riding, running around or rough housing. I think they forgot she is 5:rolleyes1 But she can dance, which is great!!

I don't blame you for not wanting to pay for classes DS will hate! I have had parents come to me and ask if a certain student was going to be in a class before. I have happily moved their child to a different class. I say, go ask!

I wish I had a video camera running in the car when Kristin finally got Bob to realize what day it was. :rotfl2: I had said, no less than three times, something to the affect that I had been doing this or we had been going there for 36 years. Ooh! Dinner looked like a lot of fun!! I love Boddington's:goodvibes Poor Bob!! I am glad he finally got "it":goodvibes

And I just got off the phone with another parent looking for part time daycare!!! Wohoo!! Things are looking up!

Good Morning. The sun is shining for the second day in a row :cool1: Maybe I'll actually get out and enjoy it today.

Morning, all! I hope all is well with everyone!

Chanon - I love the room! My mother's favorite animal was the hedgehog, so to see those darling animals painted in your room, made me all teary eyed!

Elin - I'm glad you had a great anniversary regardless of Bob not remembering. Alan always remembers our anniversary, but has yet to remember my birthday without prompting.

Elizabeth - Sorry DS doesn't get to do the role he was looking forward to. If the other scene is the one I'm thinking of, that's a great play, too! I would definitely check to see if the girl is going to be in the fall session. No sense wasting money.

Robyn - I'm so glad that things are looking up for you! Something needs to happen to turn this economy around pronto!

Well, we managed to get through Katie's closet the other day, and she is in DIRE need of new clothes! She's grown so much (chest development) that her tops are all too tight. She needs new pants, as well. Jacob is set for shirts, and only needs a couple of pairs of pants. The twins will need quite a bit, as well. They went through a growth spurt this summer that has all their long pants looking like capris, now. Hopefully we can find some good sales in the next couple of weeks.

Today is looking to be another hectic day for me (what's new, right?). I've got to get the garden weeded, veggies picked and washed and refrigerated, make a trip to the library, run to the store for more formula (Timothy stopped nursing last week:sad1:), pick up some pizza for dinner for the kids, and then meet Alan at the IMAX theater for Harry Potter 6. Basically, I should have left to start all of this a couple of hours ago, if I want to have it done before 5:30. Wish me luck!

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning, DDA!

Robyn - Glad you're finding some new kids. I hope Mo's doing okay with her arm. I'm suprised they took it off on an active 5yo with still a small fracture. Those are some hopeful requests of her. :wizard:

Elin - That looks like a really fun place! I'm glad you had a good night.

Elizabeth - Lots of :wizard: to fly you through your day, but especially the playdate. I'm sorry DS' favorite scene got cut. That sounds like it would have been a great one for him. I hope you're able to get good info for fall.

Jen - In case I miss you...have a GREAT trip!!!

Deb - Enjoy your sun!

Stephanie - Stalker's such a strong word...I'd call you a groupie. ;)

Sleep did manage to disappear about 90% of my headache. We've got Kids Club again this morning, so hopefully it won't rain. After that, I think we're clear. Kristi has an interview this afternoon. It's the 2nd with this group, but a 2nd job listing too so hopefully it will go well. She really needs something soon. Luckily, the timing works well for Rachel to keep the kids so we'll be able to get some other stuff done instead if we need to.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Sounds like quite a day, Glynis! Luckily, it ends with a really good thing. Good luck getting it all done and enjoy the movie!

Thanks Jen!! You'll be so close, yet so far tomorrow! What time do you arrive here and then sail?

\

I know-I was thinking about last time I was in that area was with all of you!
I think were planning on getting on the ship around 11:30 or so tomorrow morning. We dont sail until 4pm

Ooh! Dinner looked like a lot of fun!! I love Boddington's:goodvibes Poor Bob!! I am glad he finally got "it":goodvibes

If you come to F'burg you can drink it with us... :rolleyes1

And I just got off the phone with another parent looking for part time daycare!!! Wohoo!! Things are looking up!

Good Morning. The sun is shining for the second day in a row :cool1: Maybe I'll actually get out and enjoy it today.

:yay: :yay: for both of you!
