NO whining! And Tea Cups to Pooh is not that far! :rotfl2:
I would have been aggravated, too. And then to get sick, too. :sad2: How many days did you have left when you started to feel ill? Hopefully it wasn't until the end!

Well, if you had to be sick at least it didn't take out your last 3 or 4 days!
How are you feeling now?

Jennifer - I wish your trip would have gone better with mom and nephew. I know you were really looking forward to it.

Elizabeth - I don't know how much option there is for traveller's checks anymore. I think that they are used to little anymore with debit and credits cards abounding that most places don't want to mess with carrying them or will charge you for the convenience.

Bernadett - I really hope you can figure out your camera. I've been having a battery issue, but I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the camera. At least I really really hope that it doesn't.

Elin - Good luck with the ADRs! That's going to be a tough one. I guess it's one of those times you had better be on the phone or online right on time to catch the remaining availabilities.

Jen - Are you done packing yet? What kind of excursions are you planning.

Marci - Good luck getting ready! Sounds like you do need that partial day off to pack.

Stephanie - Does your Dec trip overlap with Dec 6-8? I figure that it has to since your favorite star will be doing Candlelight Processional that night. You know, the ever popular TBA.

Isabella Rossellini -- Nov. 27-29
John O' Hurley -- Nov. 30, Dec. 1-2
Steven Curtis Chapman -- Dec. 3-5
TBA -- Dec. 6-8
Andy Garcia -- Dec. 9-11
Vanessa Williams -- Dec. 12-14
Abigail Breslin -- Dec. 15-17
Whoopi Goldberg -- Dec. 18-20
Brian Dennehy -- Dec. 21-23
Edward James Olmos -- Dec. 24-26
Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance -- Dec. 27-30.

Stephanie and I will be staying at CSR Dec 4 & 5 then we will be on our cruise from Sat Dec 6 to Thur Dec 10. I was not sure if we were going to be able to see it or not. We are still working that out.

Darn,, Darn that we will miss TBA :lmao:

Tia - Yeah, I guess we should just plan to charge everything to DH's Disney Visa next time and pay it off when we get home. I was nervous about doing that because there have been some strange stories on the Budget board about credit lines and so forth. I didn't want to be cut short because of some credit weirdness in the middle of our trip. :scared:
I refuse to use our debit card when we travel. And wads of cash is never a good idea. Sigh.

Thanks for all the comments on the outfits!

We tried.
The suitcase is big - 29". Because of the wheels we can't get it to stand up on the board. We put it on there sideways, but DH isn't 100% certain that ALL of the weight of the bag was on the balance board. He had to kind of rest his hand against the bag to keep it from falling off. The Wii said the bag was like 45 lbs. Bathroom scale said 50.
My "big" bag is "only" 26". I can easily pick it up so I'm guessing it is just shy of 40 pounds. DH picked it up this morning and agrees it is under 50. Now I've got to pack the carry on tonight!

Morning, everyone! I'm doing a quick check in before my day gets too hectic!

School starts here on August 20, so it's time for the annual "going through the clothes!" With four kids, I have to start early to spread the spending around. Yikes! Today, we'll go through Katie's clothes and make lists of what she needs. Then we'll move on to Jacob, then Leslie and lastly, Mary. Once we have all our lists, I take the kids out shopping one on one. They get to pick one outfit for the first day, and then we'll usually go by a thrift store or a consignment shop to pick up the rest of what they need a little more cheaply. Wish us luck!
:wizard:Good luck with the clothes shopping!

Thanks for the trip wishes everyone. I haven't been home on a weekend in over a month. That means I haven't packed... or kept up with my chosen family very well. The only portion of the trip I'm worried about forgetting something for is the cruise, as I can find good deals on most things while in WDW. The cruise, forget it. They know they have us and can charge whatever. I guess I'm mostly scared I'll forget toiletries or meds. I've decided I may need to take part of tomorrow off so that I have a better chance in getting most of what we need packed.

Have a good day everyone!
:wizard:Good luck packing!

Hi all!! I hate that the summer has left me with even less free time than before. The new pool, while great, makes me run ragged with the kids. In and out, in and out and so on. Our schedule is still jammed pack with stuff.

On top of the normal stuff, my surgery has been a nightmare. Lots of back and forth with the office in regards to scheduling. The date I was given won't work because my dr is still on vacation. Um, yeah, kind of difficult to operate from Texas! So I wait and pull my hair out in the meantime.

And then this morning, I got the news that my only 2 full time daycare kids have only 2 more weeks here. Why, because their mom got laid off on Friday. This economy SUCKS!! They are hoping to find something that will allow them to keep the boys here. But, in the meantime, Eric will start to look for a part time job. And then once my surgery is over and done with I will start looking for something. I am sure we will be fine, we always manage somehow.

So there you have it.
:hug:I'm so sorry!

Bernadette - DH says:
Do not delete your photos off of your camera. Load ALL of the images to the computer and then delete out the ones you don't want. He says when you delete them off the camera it corrupts the card? :confused3 Not sure if that matters, but it gives you something to try when you get your new memory card.
I did read that! I usually don't delete photos one a time on my memory sticks but I think I may have deleted one bad one on the Cape trip. I did read that I should always reformat the memory stick on camera. I thought I was using 2 different cards when the problems occured but maybe not as they do look the same.

I have read that it is an issue with the Nikons. I have discovered that the problem is a memory card problem but it could either be a problem with the card or with the camera body itself. If the problem continues at Disney I will contact Nikon when I get home as the waranty is still good. Hopefully I can work around it enough to get some decent photos at Disney. I'm very glad I have my laptop so I can download photos nightly.

lets just say I was ready to strangle both my mother and nephew on multiple occasions. Part of it I think was he missed his daddy. He would wine about missing him a lot. A couple of times he winded about wanting his stroller. which we left parked at tea cups and walked over to pooh. Not sure how to explain the rest. He was probably being a typical 4 1/2 yr old boy with climbing on the rails of the lines, jumping out of his stroller while mom was pushing it. My mother I think was stressed about things at home and the way she was acting and not consitanly displining my nephew was getting on my nerves so I did not get to enjoy it much. We hardly saw any characters in the parks and I daw only one show mickeys philharmonic. Plus I never got my dole whip.:sad1:
:hug:I say a make over is in order!

And I hear that some week in Feb when another certain red-ish haired girl is celebrating her birthday is a good week. ;) :rolleyes1 :flower3:

We have seen Brian Dennehy at CP years ago. He was very good! I have no desire to see Edward James Olmos. But I might be persuaded to see Whoopi Goldberg the night we arrive. I bet I would be on my own, though. Bob doesn't like CP and the girls don't arrive until the 23rd or 24th. I suppose Bob could eat dinner with me and then I can do CP alone if we decide to go that route.

Bernadette - Yes, he also said something about reformatting the card each time you put it back in the camera.

Jennifer - I am glad you are feeling better. Have fun planning your do-over. ;)

DS had a better time at Theater camp than he thought he would. Goofball. He always complains about going to things, but then he has a good time.

I am not one to go to CP, but I would go if I could see Whoopi. :goodvibes At this point I am not planning to try to go to a show on our Epcot night (12/5).

So here's the room for the baby!!!
