DDA chapter 21

Anyone here beside me ever eat a lettuce sandwich? My husband never has and I told him he was deprived. I love lettuce sandwiches.

What is your definition of a lettuce sandwich??

Sometimes I use pieces of romaine or other lettuce and use that instead of bread to make a sandwich around meat and cheese or other fillings.

That will be me tomorrow night! :scared:

Beach towels, bathing suits and tee shirts!

We had beach towels, bathing suits, bedding and shower/bath towels and regular clothing laundry  The reality is that I do a minimum of one load a day when we are home so I would have a minimum of 8 loads plus the bedding and rain gear (we got a lot of use out of our rain suits :sad2:) I'm 5 loads in and probably 1/2 way through.

Heidi, I have never had lettuce between bread.

Becky, I have never used lettuce as a substitute for bread.

My last load of laundry is in the washer. I have been sitting home all day, so I figured I might as well do laundry.

The stupid stye is morphing into a cyst. I was hoping if I stayed home all day and put compresses on it that it might just dissolve. No such luck.

You'd better get to the eye doctor before you lose sight in that eye

Oh, I saw the eye Dr. on Wednesday. I am on drops and oral antibiotics. He said if the styes aren't gone in 2 weeks that they will cut them out. :scared:
I wanted to wait and see if the meds made a difference before I booked a follow-up, but it looks like I am headed for a date with the scalpel.

owwieeeeee!!:headache:

I decided that I would get the girls Vera Bradley backpacks and disney dollars for Christmas this year. They both love my bag and we will use them at Disney World.

I didn't plan on winning one quite so soon but I am really glad pinecone pays into paypal now:

I think this one will be Cassidys.

Tonight was the next to last performance of Music Man....I will be so happy to have that done, as I keep saying to myself "Thanks for reminding me why I don't work here anymore"

I made bbq ribs tonight with a new locally made sauce (well 1/3 of the ribs were slathered in it) and they were scrumptious.
The rest of my day sucked!

Theresa - I have the "Kensington" backsack and like it a lot. I have considered buying one of their backpacks but I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER BAG FOR WDW! I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER BAG FOR WDW! I DO NOT NEED... (you get the picture)

OK, Miss Smarty Pants... you seem to be full of piss and vinegar this morning so how about brainstorming with me? After all, you don't have anything left to plan for your August trip, right??? ;)

I am trying to decide whether or not to keep DDP. In the long run it has saved us money when combined with TiW for the additional 20% discount on other stuff like appetizers and alcohol. We have 6 TS, 6 CS and 12 snack credits to use over 7 days.

So far, this is what Bob and I are considering:

TS – WP Café, ESPN, Spoodles/Kouzzina, Raglan Road, Les Chefs de France, Rose & Crown, Sci-Fi Dine-In (OOP makes the most sense, using TiW)

CS – Hurricane Hanna’s, Flame Tree BBQ, Sunshine Seasons, Columbia Harbour House, ??

Snacks - F&W booths

Any thoughts?

ETA: I am thinking about looking into the QSDP... it could potentially take care of everything except our dinners which would be covered by TiW... It also includes a refillable mug which we need to buy. :scratchin

I have 2 ADRs that need to be tweaked, but I am waiting to hear back from other people before I finalize either one. :rolleyes1

Being able to use the DDP snack credits for the F&WF booths helps you maximize the value on the snacks, but we aren't talking about THAT many credits. The max value would be $48. Your TS are not super expensive, either, and you are 2 short on your CS plans.

With TIW you order what you want - not sure if you and Bob want 2 appetizers and no dessert at every single TS meal. If not, you'd be better off not having the plan. It also streamlines things to use TIW instead of DDP and TIW for the things DDP doesn't cover.

Does the QS DDP include dessert with every meal? Because QS desserts are nasty more often than not. And that skews the "value" of the plan to have the cost of dessert factored in.

I am thinking along the same lines you are. I would have to look very carefully at what meals we would order before determining which would work best for us, probably. We already have (and will continue to have) TIW so we will use it no matter what. But given our predilection of ordering expensive items on the menu DDP might work for us. Sometimes we share an appetizer, sometimes not. We sometimes share dessert or sometimes get two. I figure if we are "owed" two on the DDP we would get 2 and make certain one could be taken back to the room for snacking or breakfast.

QSDP does include dessert at both lunch and dinner, not breakfast. However, with the exception of Columbia Harbour House, our QS picks have pretty good choices for dessert. We will probably eat twice at Hurricane Hanna's because of their terrific, albeit small, menu and our afternoon break every day. We will also probably eat twice at Sunshine Seasons because it is GOOD!

FYI, Becky - it just took SEVEN minutes for the post above to "load" on the page. It is not just you having trouble. :sad2:
