Boy oh boy was I wrong! (keep reading...) :rotfl:

I had my last class recital last night. :yay:

Tonight and tomorrow night we have our regional Junior Original Concerts (big hairy Yamaha deals ;) ) and Sunday evening I have recitals from 5-9 for our private students.

Then I am DONE for two weeks! :teeth:

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (but we have more rain. again.)

OK... don't post any more Happy Birthday wishes for Terry. It isn't her birthday! But my birthday alarm website told me it was! !! I will go back and edit my post

The first thing my mom said to me today was we leave for our cruise 3 weeks from today! I cant believe its coming up so quickly!

An update on the two little boys who were hit with lightning last night. They were the sons of two of the coaches on the Little League team. One of my students is also on that team and was there with his dad and little brother. I got an email from their Mom and it sounds as if it was pretty harrowing experience for all who were there. So very sad. :(

We had just awful storms again tonight, with hail and lot of lightning. Unfortunately two 12 year olds were struck by lightning as they were leaving a baseball field. One of them has died and the other one is in extremely critical condition. So sad. :(

That's terrible! :sad2:

Happy 10th Birthday Daniel, hope you have a wonderful day! party:party:party:

Happy Birthday, Daniel!!!

DS was at a party last night until 11 PM, and we didn't go to bed until midnight. Not sure why I am WIDE awake already!

Those poor people - they have this amazing house and this is the second time their DD has hosted a party. TONS of kids showed up. I told DS I would DIE if there were 40 kids running through my house, spilling soda, running in and out, locking themselves in the bedrooms, etc. (The locking themselves in the bedroom involved some girls, who by my estimates had NO business at that party.)

I think when this family has parties the word spreads, and a LOT of uninvited kids show up. Not thugs, just kids. Then they act like idiots. The mom was on a business trip so the dad was there by himself trying to keep everybody in line. The kids were just being really rude. I think that tends to happen when kids show up at a house where they don't even know the hostess. DS named off a bunch of 6th graders, which was odd because they were from our elementary and the hostess didn't go there. The 6th & 7th graders at our middle school don't mix during the day so I have no idea how they all ended up at the party. When I picked DS up the dad said he was welcome to come to their home again, then he added that DS was one of about a half dozen out of 40 who would be invited back. As I talked with DS I realized there really were AT LEAST 40 kids there, because every sentence contained the names of MORE kids! :scared1: I hope their housekeeper comes on Thursdays, and I hope they plan to pay her extra today.

Kristin was called for jury duty this month and filled out all her paperwork. She has not heard anything from the county concerning what she was supposed to do and we all talked about it at dinner last night. She was to get two weeks' notice and has not yet received anything from them.

I opened the paper this morning to read that there was a mistrial declared in a case before the Circuit Court in our county yesterday. The reason for the mistrial is that 8 of the 30 jurors who were supposed to show did not. Apparently this is unprecedented.

Now I am worried that they are going to come drag my daughter out of bed!!! :scared:

We have a double birthday party to go to on Sat. my cousin had 2 kids in June, one is June 1 the other June 12. I offered to bring something and she said either an appetizer or dessert. Being the type of person I am, I'm taking both :teeth: I got the recipes from another Diser, here they are if anyone is interested.

Pineapple Fluff
1 large package instant vanilla pudding
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
1 16 oz. container Cool Whip
3 medium bananas
1 angel food cake, torn into pieces

Mix pudding, pineapple, and Cool Whip for 2 minutes or until pudding is dissolved and well mixed.
Fold in bananas until well coated, then do the same with the cake.
Chill well before serving.

This sounds very good, thanks!

I am off to work & then I actually have a 3 day weekend :cool1:

Nothing planned, but that is fine with me!

Warning...CLOWN AHEAD...

Happy Birthday Daniel

Colby is acting fine this morning. He is home since he was not fine at 2 AM. Oh well, I guess I can accomplish something around here today.

I am glad he is feeling better this morning, Deb!

This morning the paper says that the umps called the game but the parents were on the field playing catch with the kid that got killed. Stupid. :sad2:

Was the paper's version of the story correct?
