Good morning. :)

I'm going to work for 4 hours then I'm getting the heck out of Dodge before traffic gets horrendous.

Bernadette I don't like breakfast food, my breakfast of choice since childhood always consisted of a bowl of cold cereal.

Thank you and Elizabeth on the dress code reminder again for California Grill. I told him the only place that requires a suit and tie is V&A. There is no reason a nice pair of khakis and a collared shirt wouldn't pass, right?

Convivial?

:rotfl:

That's my word and I'm stickin' to it!

Considering the time of night I posted it, the fact that our 83 year old state president joined us at the last minute because the vice-president took the national guest out to dinner, leaving the president in the lurch... convivial might be the best it could have been! At least it was not contentious. :rotfl2:

Drive carefully!

I have a breakfast meeting at 8:00 and then a memorial service, a business meeting and an awards luncheon to get through and then I am leaving too. I have no idea what the traffic from here to home will be like, but methinks it won't be good. Regardless, my drive will be pretty. Sorry yours will be made looking at the cars surrounding you on I-95. :scared:

Heidi - this is what Bob wore to the California Grill last fall. He had on either khakis or black Docker's with the shirt. He was appropriately dressed. There were men with polo shorts on too.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I will check in with you all tonight! Have great days. :goodvibes

The VS sale is online - there is a thread about it on the Budget forum. Be VERY careful if you are ordering bras. 4 of the 5 I bought are too small, which makes no sense. My bra size has not changed - ALL of my bras are the same size and they all fit fine. VS has apparently changed the way they measure and cut their bras. The one that does fit is one I accidentally grabbed in the next cup size up.
:
I think i may just go to the store..plus, im not liking the choices that are left in my size for the 10/25!

Obviously I misread Heidi's first question!:rotfl2: I thought she asked what she and John should do at Chef Mickey's! :rotfl:

i was wondering what that was supposed to mean ;)
That is spectacular news, Tammi. I am glad you were proactive and got the money you know the house was worth with a lower interest rate. Outstanding!
Ditto!

Good morning--HAPPY FRIDAY!!! My kids have 3 "specials" today ( a very rare occurance) so Im looking forward to it today...cant wait for a 3 day weekend!!!

Debbie, I am excited for you guys! I know Brandon will be THRILLED!

Bernadette I don't like breakfast food, my breakfast of choice since childhood always consisted of a bowl of cold cereal.

Absolutely! It isn't a "stuffy" sort of place. I wouldn't worry about the dress code.

Don't sell yourself short, maybe with the weight you lost it went to your chest. ;)

:rotfl: I don't think it works that way! If it did, the bras I already have wouldn't fit.

Princess has a haircut today, and we need to return her library books. She is leaving tomorrow, and I will have 16 days off! :dance3:

DS is crashing and burning on that project. I saw the handout the teacher gave. It is a HUGE project. HUGE. If he would have had all weekend to work on it he could have pulled it off, but it is due today. And I am not rescuing him. I kind of wanted to, but this is better. He HAS TO learn this lesson.

Bernadette,
Sorry about your friend Sheri. I have a friend like that who has blocked me out so to speak for the past few years & now that I am moving she has started up contact again rather viamently which to me is weird... Hope your friend recovers soon.

Tammi,
You rock!!! Awesome news!!!

Deb,
Your plans sound great!

Heidi,
When I went with some of the DDA gang to Gali Grill we had on tee shirts & shorts. I think a polo & shorts or capris would be fine.

:rotfl:

Debbie,
Have a wonderful trip!!!

Elizabeth,
I feel the same way with Katie. I do always end up helping her somehow.
:headache:

Daniel is home from school (the girls have school) so we are going to run errands, buy his goody bags & goodies, & go for lunch.
He is having 6 boys come to see Night at the Museum with us & then to Friendlys for dinner next week. I wonder if party city has night at the museum party bags? Or we could just improvise. Anyway I am looking forward to spending some mommy/son time with him.

Oh & Katie has informed me that she will not wear matching shirts at all this year. However she will wear disney shirts but she just doesn't want to match her brother & sister so I guess thats not all bad.

Good morning, DDA! It looks like it's going to be another beautiful day here. As soon as I get Miles out the door to school, I am going to mow the lawn before it gets too hot. I guess I need to check that it's not too wet out there still. Then I have a lot of weeding to do.

I have that 6-month follow-up mammogram at 2:30. I was supposed to go in March but kind of put it off until preschool was done. The doctor's office called to remind me on Wednesday, and she was able to schedule it for today. Usually it seems to take longer to get an appointment. I hope that's not someone trying to tell me something.

Elizabeth, I hate projects!

Anne Marie, have fun with Daniel. We are taking two of Miles' friends to see Night at the Museum tomorrow as a little birthday celebration. I told him that we would get him the new DSi for his birthday if he didn't have a party this year. I feel a little guilty, but it was so nice not having to do a big party. He always wants to invite his whole class.

I am in such a good mood today. I don't know if it's the fact that summer is starting, the 3 day weekend, the news I had yesterday, or a combination thereof. I just hope nothing happens to spoil it!!!!

I think it's time for me to start planning a long weekend F&WF trip the first weekend in October. I can crash Elin's vacation. ;)
