Thanks everyone, I would like to try it just once.

Bernadette we liked lunch at CP very much, won't do breakfast at any buffet we are not big breakfast eaters. I am trying to convince John to do California Grill, but he won't dress up.

The banquet was good, the concert was even better! Luncheon and all meetings today were also fine. :)

We just got back from a 2-hour coach tour of historic Lynchburg, VA that included two families who opened their homes to our group! :goodvibes

Four of us are headed out to a local spot for dinner and good company. Hope you all have good evenings too.

It sounds like you are having a delightful time! :goodvibes

If it wasn't a favorite of Rileys I would skip it. But beings you have never been, I say give it a try!

Heidi, we don't love Chef Mickey's. We went once or twice for dinner, 2 or 3 times for breakfast, and we are just over it. Their prices are higher than other buffets, and the food is just "eh".
At Cali Grill DH and DS just wore polos with their shorts. DS didn't even tuck his polo in! It is NOT that dressy.

Sot he orthodontist said DS does not need a new retainer! He can wear the broken one. If his teeth start to gap we will need to buy a new one, but for now the ortho said to save our money.

DS has a HUGE project due tomorrow for Language Arts. I could throttle him. :headache: I have no clue how late we will be up tonight dealing with it. :sad2: His service project poster is mostly finished - I just need to help him with a title and captions.

Victoria's Secret started the 10 panties for $25 sale today. No, I didn't need 10 pairs of panties, but it is an awesome deal. Those panties are usually $8 a pair, or 5 for $25. So I got some for WDW. Also picked up some bras for $12.99!! :woohoo:

This is good news Elizabeth :thumbsup2

Do you not like breakfast food or just don't like to eat early in the morning? You could go to MK and then do latest breakfast possible at CM-I think it is close to 11am.

California Grill dress code is just something like "no swimsuits, no torn clothing". Joe only had on a T and he was fine. I didn't feel out of place in shorts, polo, sneakers....I did go to resort gift shop and bought a brush because I forgot to put one in my bag. I did feel better with neatly brushed hair.

:woohoo:yay for no new retainer.

:wizard:Hope the project goes smoothly!

I talked to my friend Sheri tonight. She's been moved to rehab. She can't walk yet but they hope that will improve when the brain swelling goes down. She sounded pretty good considering what she has been through-she remembered names in our past better than me. She's going through a divorce (which I knew). I haven't really spoken to her in nearly 6 years since she got married. She told me her ex didn't like me but I am not completely buying that. We had been friends for over 30 years when she met her new girlfriend. She had been married to a man (who broke her heart) and then found this woman. I think Sheri just wanted to start a new life that didn't include me or my children. She was all sad tonight about all that she's missed. She told me her son (my Godchild) asks about me all the time and would tell her how bad it was that she lost contact with me-I haven't moved, changed phone numbers, emails or anything so I was pretty easy to find. Her son remembers that I took him to Disney twice.

Deb,
:woohoo: for booking the cruise!! Hope you & Colby feel better.

Glynis,
:wizard: for Alan.

Theresa,
:wizard: Job hunting.

Elin,
Your view looks lovely!

Heidi,
If you & Joh have never been I would go. It's fun for adults too.:thumbsup2
I'm dittoing all of this. Thanks, Anne Marie!

Yep, wanna come?

We are booked on the July 24th Sailing to the Western Caribbean. We'll incorporate it into our Disney Vacation. It isn't a Disney Cruise, but the ship may be more amazing :goodvibes
Yes! S ounds great!!
On that note, could y'all spare some good thoughts for Alan? We just got word that his company will do another round of layoffs while we are in Disneyland. Yikes! He's pretty sure he's ok, but you just never know.
Youve got it!

ooo i wonder if thats online too!

I got some wonderful news today. I just hope it holds true and the bottom doesn't fall out before it comes to fruition.

After the appraisal came in way to low for me to buy ex out, I figured what the heck and tried another mortgage company. This time I went with a broker. They ordered a new appraisal and this one came in $105,000 higher than the one the Chevy Chase Bank did. Which means I can buy him out, pay him off, pay off our DVC (and own it outright) plus still have a lot of equity left in the house. Plus I even got a lower interest rate. All the paperwork is done and the loan application is going through underwriting.

Deb - I hope you are feeling better, now. I also hope that Colby's leg feels better. Congrats on booking the cruise! I really want to try cruising, and I think I almost have Alan talked into an Alaskan cruise in the next year or two.

Becky - Sorry about the throat! That's just irresponsible parenting, in my opinion!

Theresa - Sorry about the interview! My prayers are still going up that a job comes your way.

That is terrific news. I believe that things happen for a reason and perhaps the first appraisal was low because the second opportunity needed to come along :confused3 I hope this brings down your stress level some.

As I was telling Tammi, I think things happen for a reason. We are planning to use our DVC points for a stay prior to our cruise. It turns out that we have exactly enough points to rent a TreeHouse Villa for a week. It must be meant to be. Since we own at Saratoga we will be able to book at 11 months out :cool1: We will probably drive down since we will need a car to get back and forth from Miami. We will probably do WDW from July 16 - 23, checking out on a Friday. We'll drive to Miami on Friday and check into a hotel there, preferrably one that has free parking while we are on the cruise. That way we won't have to rush to get the port. We found the ride took longer than we expected last time and we were just driving from Vero Beach.

Does anyone know if there is a hotel that offers parking while on cruises?

We haven't explored the after cruise portion of the trip. My parents will fly home and we will incorporate US and SW.

We just found out that Cirque De Soleil will be having a dinner show on the trip. Chris just mentioned that he wanted to do Cirque so this works out perfectly :cool1:

Yes! S ounds great!!

ooo i wonder if thats online too!

The VS sale is online - there is a thread about it on the Budget forum. Be VERY careful if you are ordering bras. 4 of the 5 I bought are too small, which makes no sense. My bra size has not changed - ALL of my bras are the same size and they all fit fine. VS has apparently changed the way they measure and cut their bras. The one that does fit is one I accidentally grabbed in the next cup size up.

Can you steal her from her mommy and bring her to Disney in November? :)

I think her Daddy would have a big problem with me stealing his Princess for that long.

Congratulations!

Glynis, Lots of PD for Alan

I'm going to try and get a few hours of sleep, I have to be at work at 5 am, come home and finish up some last minute things, load the truck and then we're off to Brandon's for the big surprise.

That is spectacular news, Tammi. I am glad you were proactive and got the money you know the house was worth with a lower interest rate. Outstanding!

Glynis - best of luck to Alan as he waits news of the newest layoffs. That is a tough thing to go through.

Deb - your cruise/WDW/US trip sounds like it will fall into place pretty well!

Debbie - If I miss you, I hope you all have a great time!

We had a wonderful time tonight. The meal was out of this world and the company was convivial. Couldn't ask for much more than that! :)

Tammi yeah for the better deal.

Deb I hope you are feeling better. Sounds like a great trip planned for next year. Thanks for the update on the baby.

Debbie have a great trip

Glynis tell Katie congrats for me. I hope Alan weathers this round of layoffs.

I got a rental car tonight from priceline for a compact at 26 a day.
