Theresa - I think you're just what Josh needs at this point.

Terry and Stephanie - I'm so sorry for your friends loss. We'll keep her in our prayers.

Tammi - Glad the shopping was productive.

Deb - :wizard: for your kitty.

Vicki - I hope MIL is doing better. Drive safely to Lansing.

Thanks for the dittoable, Tia. Your day yesterday sounded like a great one! Try and enjoy the craziness that today will bring.

Chanon- Welcome home!!!!

Elizabeth- Sorry about the retainer.

Tammi- Did you happen to read the book, Angels and Demons? I so want to see the movie but fear it's not going to quite live up to the book. Hopefully, this weekend we'll get to see it, a date night for Eric and I.

Good Morning DDA!

Chanon, great pics of Disneyland! We really need to get there someday!

Deb, poor Riley!

I know some of you know this already, if you are on FaceBook. Leighanna's stray cat "fluffy" that she found after we returned from WDW in Feb. gave birth to EIGHT kittens the day before Mother's day. All eight are growing, and their eyes are starting to open. Now, I have to find homes for all these kitties! I know we will NOT have 11 cats in this house! :scared1:

Time to get Leighanna up and ready for school. Three more weeks and I won't have to do this anymore! And more free time to do some fun stuff during the week!

Have a great day!

I so missed the whole kitty thing. How adorable are they. I want that little grey striped one.

Terry - I am so sorry for your friend "A" and for all of you who are her friends and family. :grouphug: She is lucky to have such caring people in her life.

Deb - I hope your kitty is not suffering.

Chanon - welcome back and thanks for the photos!

Vicki - I hope your drive went OK this morning. I also hope they get your MIL back to her old self soon. I know it is wearing on everyone, her included.

My 2nd workout is behind me!!! Slow and steady wins the race, right? I think that tomorrow morning I am going to get up and either power walk or start running. The high school is close by, but T/Th Eric leaves by 5:20am. I would need to get up at 4am.:scared1:

Elin - did you enjoy the movie?

I enjoyed it very much. Kristin found it to be "boring" and felt it did not live up to the book. A little history: She liked the book MUCH better than DaVinci Code although Kristin she thinks Brown is a better dreamer than writer. She wishes he would come up with the stories and let someone else write them. :rotfl:

Kristin's comment was that a book allows time for the thinking and planning required for the characters in a storyline such as this and the movie dragged when this was going on. I have not yet read the book but plan to do so in the next week or so. I want to see what she means.

I think this is kind of like Tia's comments from Phil regarding "Star Trek" yesterday. Some of the things that bothered him about the movie did not disturb me at all and Kristin was able to see the movie without having to know what had gone on in the TV series to enjoy the latest film. This is why movies, plays, art, music and books and other forms of entertainment are a tenuous way for "artists" to make a living and why there are critics making lots of money! :rotfl2:

Oops, duplicate post. See I am tired.

I don't think it was you having trouble last night, Tia. I had two double posts on the DIS then too. And I did nothing to create them.

Looks like Deb was having trouble still this morning.

Saturday afternoon about 4:00 I finally received the list of awards for the convention this week. I spent about an hour and a half before we left for Star Trek working on the database and then got up yesterday morning early to load the printer with the certificates and start the printing process. They are all done. Unfortunately I know there are more out there. Last year I printed 189; this year there were only 105. Someone did not send in their annual report to the president on time and I know they are going to come asking for certificates at the last minute.

Don't worry (was it Bernadette or Beth?!?!?) I am NOT taking my printer to Lynchburg with me!

I also got all my lesson plans done for the week. One of my co-workers is being an angel and covering 7 of the 9 classes I will miss on Wednesday and Thursday. But we are getting ready for recitals so the plans have to be very specific and it was time-consuming. But it is done!

Now that is just weird. This is the second day that the boards have been all wonky for me?

Riley is not doing well this morning. He is clearly less stable on his feet and his meow sounds a bit airy at the end, maybe fluid in his lungs? His little tongue is hanging out too. I'm very sad this morning as I fear that when and if I take him to the vet today it could be his last trip :sad1: He ate all of his food last night and asked for more this morning, then he snuggled by my feet so that I could pet him. Now he is laying on his favorite blanket purring away

Oh, dear. That doesn't sound good.

Ever heard of "too much of a good thing"? ;) But if you really want to get up at 4 AM I can have DH call you and make sure you are up. :rolleyes1

I did NOT sleep well. And I have a jam packed day. Guess we'll see how it goes!

No I didn't read the book. I hope you get to see it, and that you enjoy it.

I agree that books delve into the emotions/thoughts/lives of the characters much better than movies do. You get their introspect, so to speak, in a book whereas a movie has to gloss over it all. That's a main reason why the movies never live up to the books.

Does anyone know if I get any discounts at Typhoon Lagoon with an AP or DVC membership?

ETA: Nevermind. I found what I was looking for.

I agree with Kristin, Elin.....Brown has great stories he just can't really write:lmao:. (I did like Digital Fortress...maybe it's the religion angle that he can't handle).

Elizabeth-youch on the price of a new retainer!!

Laundry is started for the day....it is supposed to get over 90 the next couple of days so I need to do laundry before it gets too hot.

Thankfully the pants fit.....I probably would have cried if they hadn't....no sleep.:rolleyes1

I'm on a roll!

I went to the post office (Tammi & Robyn - watch your mail), returned a shirt to Marshall's, dropped off DS's outgrown uniforms at the elementary, loaded all the service project donations into the car. Now I am off to the bank, Nordstrom, Sam's, and the Dr's office.

Hoping to make the shoe repair & the dry cleaners before I get Princess.
