So Cassidy has really been bummed by the nepotism that the band director is showing...in fact she mentioned that at a point she thought about quitting. Which she, of course, put out of her mind quickly but it's sad to see her so discouraged about what is her passion.

Goodnight everyone! Im headed to work early tomorrow so not sure if ill make it here or not. I have a personal day on Wednesday so I have to set up for my sub too :)

I think it was me... I am glad that you were able to finish. Stand strong on not scrambling at the last minute for someone else's procrastination.

Oh, don't you worry. I am not one to let them walk over me. If I can do it in the time I have available to me tomorrow I will gladly print any stragglers but I will not be taking a printer with me to the convention.

Deb - I hope that little niece is OK. How sad. :(

Beth - good luck in your last week at school! Sounds like the weekend was fun for all, but lots of work for you. :yay: for a trip to FL, no matter where you are headed!

Theresa - I am sorry Cassidy has to see that side of human nature attached to something she loves so much.

I know some of you know this already, if you are on FaceBook. Leighanna's stray cat "fluffy" that she found after we returned from WDW in Feb. gave birth to EIGHT kittens the day before Mother's day. All eight are growing, and their eyes are starting to open. Now, I have to find homes for all these kitties! I know we will NOT have 11 cats in this house! :scared1:
Any pictures?

Don't worry (was it Bernadette or Beth?!?!?) I am NOT taking my printer to Lynchburg with me!
I think it was me. Actually both of us. I'm glad to hear the printer will stay at home!

$119 to replace the retainer, and two trips to the ortho office to do it. :sad2:
:scared:

Chris and I just took Riley to the Vet. She agrees with me in that we believe he has a brain tumor. She thinks it may have started as a nasal tumor and has now grown. There is no good way to confirm this without discomfort for Riley and a huge bill for us. We discussed our options which boiled down to giving him a long lasting antibiotic and a long acting steriod shot or having him put down. We just aren't ready to say good bye yet so he got the shots. We should know by tomorrow if it is helping at all and within a week we'll see how much it actually helps. She said it could buy him a couple of weeks to six months or more. Since he isn't in any obvious pain we are hoping this will help immensely :wizard: If it doesn't work then we know that we have no other recourse than to say goodbye :sad1: For now he is resting comfortable between my feet. He doesn't seem to want to let me out of sight today which is very unusual.

Cassidy was so proud, she bought him dressy shorts with her own money.

We're definitely heading to Gainesville, FL for the eSynchro Age Group Nationals June 30-July 4. I think we have talked ourselves out of going to WDW, because I want a "real" trip there next year. We are considering a couple of beach days somewhere and around three days to Universal and Sea World.
Congrats to Laura's team!

After the game Chris got a call from his mother. His great neice was airlifted to a burn center in Boston. Apparently the babysitter just got a new furnace or hot water heater and the temperature was not properly set. They baby sitter must have tried to spray her off in the sink :confused3 and she has second degree burns on her head/face/upper body. This is one of the infant twins that his neice had 5 or so months ago.
How awful! :sad2:

:hug:Poor Cassidy.

I just found out my friend-Lizzy & Joe's God Mother, and Terry's step sister, fell off a horse and has bleeding on the brain and broke her pelvis in 3 places. She moved to CT about 4 years ago and I've sort of lost touch with her. She's at U MASS Worcester Medical Center-probably about 1 1/2 hours from here so I'll see if I go visit her.

Kristin and I went to $1 burger night at Capital Ale House tonight (Bob went but would not wait for 45 minutes to be seated). We ran into about 6 of her friends from HS and it was so nice to see them all grown up! They are now teachers, military policemen, graduate students, and government contractors. It was nice to see they are turning into good adults! :goodvibes

So I hate not having a good camera, but am too indecisive to decide what I want. Sometimes I drive myself nuts. Actually most of the time I drive myself nuts. ;)

I survived camp. Now I need to survive through Relay for life which is right after my Birthday on June 12-13. Somehow they twisted my arm and I am running the entertainment and activities.:rolleyes1 I am very good at seeing the end picture and not the steps in between and right now I am struggling with getting all the crap together.

Please keep my 2nd cousin Kim and her husband Josh and their unborn baby boy in your prayers. He will be delivered by c-section on the 21st or 22nd, as Kim has a tumor which they suspect is cancerous and are afraid will cause more issues if they wait until her delivery date of June 12th.

Tomorrow I have training for work and have to leave early, not my favorite thing to do.

I hope you are all doing well.

Tom- Good luck getting homes for the kittens. I want a new pet, but I think I want a dog.

Deb- Hugs to your family. I hope Riley is pain free. Goiod luck to the baby.

Bernadette- I hope for a speedy recovery for your friend.

Hugs to Cassidy it stinks when one person ruins something you love. I hope she continues to participate and I hope the person causing the issues gets a clue and stops behaving that way.

Bernadette - I am sorry to hear about your friend's accident. I hope you can get to see her and that she recuperates well.

Bernadette-I am sorry to hear about your friend's accident. Hope you can make it to see her.

Beth-I think I forgot to say congrats to Laura and her team!!

Elin-I wish I lived closer....you have some of the best nights out!!

Becky-that little family is in my prayers!! I know you will get all that needs to be done in time!!!

This has been one stressful day in our household.

That's horrible! I hope she is OK! :wizard:

I hope the summer helps Cassidy clear her head a bit. It sounds like a sucky situation.

Bernadette - I am sorry to hear about your friend's accident. I hope you can get to see her and that she recuperates well.

Good thoughts for your friend, Bernadette!

Becky, I hope your cousin and her baby are OK, too!

DH put a bid in on a grocery route on Friday and they told him today he has the route. He is very pleased. Now he will run the same 3 stores every week and feel more in control of his work. He will also have Fri & Sat off every week - no more rotating.

Elizabeth-tell your DH "WOOOHOO" for having a set schedule.

I like this dittoable post. Thanks, Elin!

Absolutely!

Now I can't hear or think of "woohoo" without picturing a man whipping off his towel and doing a little dance.

Although, according to my email, the correct verbage of that was "woo woo"! :rotfl: But nonetheles..................

For those of you not on FB......

My little tapster. She's dancing to Razzle Dazzle from Chicago.

Just heard this on our local TV station:

Disney just purchased 15 acres in the National Harbor in DC and will build a 500 room hotel there!
