DH put a bid in on a grocery route on Friday and they told him today he has the route. He is very pleased. Now he will run the same 3 stores every week and feel more in control of his work. He will also have Fri & Sat off every week - no more rotating.

:yay:

Now I can't hear or think of "woohoo" without picturing a man whipping off his towel and doing a little dance.

Although, according to my email, the correct verbage of that was "woo woo"! :rotfl: But nonetheles..................

I fear the set schedule will bring much towel dropping and "wooing". But he was getting frustrated with the CONSTANT schedule changes, getting up at midnight one day and 5 AM the next day, never being able to settle in with the accounts. I think this will be good. I hope. Because he can't bid again for a year.

Just heard this on our local TV station:

Disney just purchased 15 acres in the National Harbor in DC and will build a 500 room hotel there!

Hmmm. Interesting!

That's actually MD, just across the WW bridge, in PG County. It is really nice! Or I should say it will be, when it is said and done. They are building a Children's Museum there, but it isn't opening for a few years.

They do have Segway tours, BTW. ;)

Tammi - Alyssa is beautiful! She looks all grown up!
Princess's dance place doesn't have the girls wear ANY make-up on stage. I found that rather odd. Not sure what her pics will look like - it was dark in the room and she wasn't sure she wanted her pic taken.

Thank you!

Even the older girls? That IS odd. Alyssa will be in 2 dances, one tap and one ballet. Since she's been in ballet for several years and we already have those pictures, she decided that I should buy the ones of her in her tap costume. I refused to buy both packages, at $27 a pop. I can't photo/videograph her recitals, but I can do both at the dress rehearsals. That's another thing that her studio gets you for. They will "professionally" record the recital, and then sell you the DVD of the ENTIRE show for $35. Sorry, but this mom isn't shelling out MORE money to see my daughter dance twice for about 180 seconds each dance. I'm sure Alyssa will be scarred for life.

I have no idea what I am still doing awake. I'll be a hurting puppy in the morning. Goodnight ladies.

So Cassidy has really been bummed by the nepotism that the band director is showing...in fact she mentioned that at a point she thought about quitting. Which she, of course, put out of her mind quickly but it's sad to see her so discouraged about what is her passion.

Any pictures?

I think it was me. Actually both of us. I'm glad to hear the printer will stay at home!

:scared:

Congrats to Laura's team!

How awful! :sad2:

:hug:Poor Cassidy.

I just found out my friend-Lizzy & Joe's God Mother, and Terry's step sister, fell off a horse and has bleeding on the brain and broke her pelvis in 3 places. She moved to CT about 4 years ago and I've sort of lost touch with her. She's at U MASS Worcester Medical Center-probably about 1 1/2 hours from here so I'll see if I go visit her.

:hug:For your friend

So I hate not having a good camera, but am too indecisive to decide what I want. Sometimes I drive myself nuts. Actually most of the time I drive myself nuts. ;)

I survived camp. Now I need to survive through Relay for life which is right after my Birthday on June 12-13. Somehow they twisted my arm and I am running the entertainment and activities.:rolleyes1 I am very good at seeing the end picture and not the steps in between and right now I am struggling with getting all the crap together.

Please keep my 2nd cousin Kim and her husband Josh and their unborn baby boy in your prayers. He will be delivered by c-section on the 21st or 22nd, as Kim has a tumor which they suspect is cancerous and are afraid will cause more issues if they wait until her delivery date of June 12th.

Tomorrow I have training for work and have to leave early, not my favorite thing to do.

I hope you are all doing well.

Tom- Good luck getting homes for the kittens. I want a new pet, but I think I want a dog.

Deb- Hugs to your family. I hope Riley is pain free. Goiod luck to the baby.

Bernadette- I hope for a speedy recovery for your friend.

Hugs to Cassidy it stinks when one person ruins something you love. I hope she continues to participate and I hope the person causing the issues gets a clue and stops behaving that way.

Becky, I'm sure you will pull it all together, you always do. Hopefully someday soon you will stop volunteering (or being talked into taking things on) as much as you do. I was very much like you not that long ago, but I have finally found my voice and/or I don't go to meeting that I know will end up causing myself more work.

That's horrible! I hope she is OK! :wizard:

I hope the summer helps Cassidy clear her head a bit. It sounds like a sucky situation.

Good thoughts for your friend, Bernadette!

Becky, I hope your cousin and her baby are OK, too!

:cool1::cool1:

For those of you not on FB......

My little tapster. She's dancing to Razzle Dazzle from Chicago.

Wow she is really growing up. She looks absolutely beautiful.

Interesting, I can't wait to see more.

It is about 28 degrees here, I think I need my winter coat this morning. I see no positive change in Riley yet, he was being very vocal this morning so I fed him again. Now he is laying on the couch on his favorite blanket. At least he seems more settled today than he did yesterday morning.

Yep, I was right. I'm tired. And there is no opportunity for naps in my days.

Becky- Lots of :wizard:for mom, dad & baby.'s to you.

Deb- Lots of :wizard:for that little girl.'s to you all for Riley.

Bernadette- Lots of :wizard:for the kid's godmother. I hope she recovers fully.

Theresa- Many 's to Cassidy

Elizabeth- :yay:for more towel dropping and woo wooing ;)

Tammi- Alyssa is beautiful. Our dvd of the recital was only $15 but I have no idea how much the pictures will cost. I just enrolled Mo in a summer ballet/tap class with Dana's DD, Syd. She was wanting to quit dance but I think she likes getting all dolled up in her costume and make-up. I hope she'll stick it out.

Elin- Glad you enjoyed your night out.

Deb, Bernadette, Becky good thoughts all around.

Elizabeth tell DH congrats on a more stable run, hope he likes it.

I wondered the same thing last night! Hope you did OK getting going this morning.

I agree with you on the gouging of parents for photos and DVDs when we all know what it really costs to make them. I take the photos of all our major recitals and every child is given one copy and parents are given the opportunity to purchase additional photos at the going rate at Wal-mart (like $1.50 per print) and the video is only $5.00. Our families are also encouraged to bring their own video cameras to capture their budding pianists. The only thing that they cannot do is take flash photography.

Good Morning!

Tammi, Alyssa looks so cute! Love her "jazz hands"! :goodvibes

There really isn't a good dance program in our town. I wish there was, Leighanna loves to dance!

Deb - I hope that little niece is OK. How sad. :(

Beth - good luck in your last week at school! Sounds like the weekend was fun for all, but lots of work for you. :yay: for a trip to FL, no matter where you are headed!

Theresa - I am sorry Cassidy has to see that side of human nature attached to something she loves so much.

Ditto!

Thank you Elin :goodvibes
