Papers are signed and I am set to move in on June 14. I am one building over from where I lived 11 years ago but they are 90 degree angles from each other. The back of my apartment would overlook the side of my old apartment (if it had a window). I'm happy with the decision.

I'm glad you have settled on a place. Will Chuck come to move you in? You should have enough time to pull things together :thumbsup2

I'm waiting for another load of laundry to finish washing, I'll get it into the the dryer and head to bed. Nick and Hunter's concert was tonight and it lasted 2 1/2 hours. I really wish they would do chorus and band on separate nights as it is just too late for all of us with little kids. Colby was 1 1/2 hours late for bed. Chris should have fun getting the boys up in the morning.

Deb how sad about the baby, glad to hear her condition is improving though

Amy sorry about the demise of your laptop, hope you get a lot of new recipes!

Anne Marie sorry you cannot all make it to the show.

Elizabeth I hope your US tickets do not expire :wizard:

Glynis hope you all have a wonderful time!

Vicki good luck with the apartment hunting!

Jen hope your mom is recovering well from surgery :wizard:

:wizard: & to all.

Janet, thanks so much for the dittoable post.

After school I picked the kids up and we went shopping. Nicholas has a bday party tomorrow night, so we went to Borders and got a GC. Alyssa had one to use so she got 2 American Girl books, one on Felicity and one about Samantha. I hope they aren't to 'above' her. Then we went to dinner at Friendly's and had yummy sundaes for dessert.

I think Alyssa will love those books!! Those were Em's first AG books and the lessons were tame. The one with the biggest "lesson" I think is Addy's series. We read those I believe early into 2nd grade and I made sure I read them with Em to make sure she understood.

No, he won't be able to come down until the end of June. He is still teaching a class at the college. We are looking at getting a U-Haul and I'll have to have some friends down here help me unload. I need to get here by 4pm on the 14th to get the keys to the apartment. Now, I have to concentrate on what I should be collecting and bringing.

Hi DDA...

Sorry to be a bit MIA as of late. I've been reading along but real life is a bit upside down at the moment. And on top of that our GS troop camping trip is TOMORROW!!! I have been bogged down by that prep as well as getting our bridging ceremony planned. We were originally planning to bridge the end of June. But schedules got all crazy so we moved it up to Saturday night during the camp trip. Which has meant a lot of extra work in about a 4 week time frame. Not to mention having to double our dinner plans for Saturday night as the girls remaining family members have been invited. But it's all good and I am confident that we will have a fabulous time!!!

Sending out lots of :wizard:and 's to everyone. I'll check back when I can.

Tammi...

sent you a PM...sorry it took a while to answer you.
That's okay. I know you are busy dealing with insurance crap. I hope it works out for you. Thanks for the info.

These are 2 of the few Girls that she knows. She has seen both of the movies.

Vicki - Congrats on making an apartment decision. I hope you get settled quickly.

Robyn - I wish we lived closer. I would definitely put Alyssa in your GS troop!

Good morning, DDA! :rotfl:

This is the first I have been on the DIS all day long. I am headed to bed but didn't want it to be 24 hours since I last posted. I did read along and am thinking of you all, but no time to chat. See you tomorrow! :goodvibes

I hope that we've seen the last of the rain for awhile. Hunter has a game tonight and I really don't want to have to make it up. We've had enough rain the last couple of days to replenish any places that might have been running low on water.

Deb - I am with you on the rain issue... BLECH! In March we were in a rain deficit of many inches for the year. This month we have had over 7 inches of rain! And it is not the end of the month yet...

Janet been meaning to ask you, are you and Gary not going to Europe now?
I noticed your ticker has been gone a while, maybe I missed the post were you said you weren't going.
