Thanks! We're excited.

My grandpa died this morning, but all my family said to go ahead and go. Turns out my 2 cousins & my aunt and uncle have trips planned also within the next 2 weeks, so we'll have the memorial service on June 1.

Im so sorry!
I am completely Type A too, but as for packing, it would drive me nuts doing it early. A few days before I will start laying clothes and "trip only" type stuff (raincoats, pins, etc) out on the guest bed. Each one of us has a section. I'm visual, so that way I can "see" what all I have. As I lay it out, I cross it off of the packing list. The day before we leave I will put everything in a suitcase. Could that be the reason? I don't think Elizabeth has a "staging" area, so her stuff would go in the suitcase as she take it out. Maybe that holds true for you too? I think I might have uncovered the logic! :rotfl2:
I make lists like crazy for packing--that way i "hopefully" cannot forget anything! I usually pack the weekend before a trip, when I am working--that way I have time to do it all at once. This next trip, I will probably pack a couple of days before since im off and will have time
Speaking of trips, my brother's girlfriend and I paid off our July cruise tonight! im so happy its paid off!

Well im off to bed! Enjoy your night everyone!

Wow,,,Lost is very intense tonight. I am definately hooked for the last season next year!!!!

Tammi, do you have any advice on "ballet" hair? Mo has her recital coming up and I need help!!! I am hoping I can make it work with out resorting to shaving her bald and gluing a bun to her head.

I remember those days, my girls alway had hair long enough to french braid, unless another style was required.

Thanks! We're excited.

I'm so sorry for your loss,

Today my oldest grandson graduated from preschool.

I got some cute pictures and this one video. you probably won't be able to hear the music but the kids are so cute. Caydn is in the first row with a green hat on the left side.

What a cutie

Anne Marie, sorry about the Disney Store, but I'm sure if you apply at the new one they'll give you a call if an opening comes up, experience goes a long way.

I had a lovely day with Aubrey, she is much more interactive, I actually had her laughing out loud todaym :lovestruc Heidi, I'd love company,

Here's a picture from today,

And here's the shirt I put together for Sea World, I did it with fabric markers and unfortunately it's only water resistant, we may end up a mess if we get wet, :rotfl:

When I plan to pack depends on when the trip is and how many days and the season.

Since I know what we did last year that will help for this year.

I don't understand this whole packing philosophy. Why pack so far ahead of time? What's the point? So you can stare at the suitcase? Have wrinkled clothes? Why have all those clothes if you aren't going to wear them? Someone please explain and get me out of the dark!!!! ;)

ExMomboss asked me once "Won't your things get creased if you pack that far ahead?" Not the point. The point is to be packed 12 days ahead. I don't have a staging area, and if I did the cats would get everything all hairy. I like to pack on a Sunday (following the master packing list) and then have the whole next weekend where the luggage is just sitting in the hallway. It makes me feel less like I have forgotten something. :confused3
I DO wear my clothes. Some things are just designated for WDW wear. And then after I have too many photos of myself wearing the same shirt it gets demoted. :rotfl2:

Could be. But for me, packing early is just part of my "process". I only do that for WDW trips, not for other travel.

You could subscribe to Elizabeth's philosophy and put her hair up 12 days before the recital, and leave it up! :rotfl:;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2: That was funny!!

Princess has ballet pics tomorrow. She is a bumble bee, and I have to affix antennae to her head. Recital is Saturday. She is supposed to wear "pigtails" but her hair is SHORT. It would stick straight out if I put rubber bands in it. I told her teacher there will NOT be pigtails.

Aubrey is just too precious :goodvibes

I love the shirt design. I wonder if there are any products out there that would seal the design?

Terry Cadyn is adorable:goodvibes:goodvibes

This is going to be a busy day for us. Work this am followed by teacher appreciation shopping. I'll get home and try to fit in a little nap as getting up at 4 AM isn't giving me enough sleep during the night. I'm finding that I can take a nap and I'm still ready for bed at 10 PM. After nap I need to have everything ready for the boys as they both have games this afternoon/evening and they are playing in different towns. I'm hoping that Hunter's game moves along quickly as I'd like to stay for the whole game before having to get Nick to his. I think I'll pick up cold cuts and make subs to take with us. That way everyone can eat when they get a chance. I suspect that it will be close to 9 PM when we get home. That will be after Colby's bedtime.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: (stupid dog)

 I have a dentist's appointment at 7:30. I hope I can go back to sleep for at least another couple of hours!

Terry and Debbie - your grandchildren are just precious!

Good morning, Deb :wave2: Hope you get your nap in today. I am off to try and get one now! Good night (I hope!)

You're funny! :rotfl:

Elin, good luck at the dentist today. I hope it is painless.

I am glad you liked the joke, I thought it was cute.

I don't have a staging area either, the trip we took this past Feb. I packed 35
days out and the clothes were not wrinkled. Of course the suitcase was laying on the floor until the day we left. I used to pack the night before and then would worry I forgot something, but hearing Elizabeth talk about packing early I decided to give it a try and I found it less stressful, plus John and I have enough clothes to pack that early.
