6 days!!! Wow! :cheer2: That's great!

Heidi -- sorry I missed your birthday. I've been reading along but just don't have anything interesting to add. Same old things going on-- work, work, sports, sports. For those of you who have already gone through this, Physical Therapy is kicking my butt and is so not for sissies. :) That's my only profound thing to say for today.

Anne Marie-though it sounds like it was a rough week it might have been just what you needed to move without qualms.

Hi Marci. It's good to hear from you. I hope you are all better soon! :wizard:

::yes:: No money out of pocket for the room and flights were cheap (and are direct instead of connecting). Now to convince him to do the dinning plan.

6 days!!! Wow! :cheer2: That's great!

Marci when my mom was in pt for her knee she hated it, said it was as bad as the surgery. :wizard: as you continue with pt.

:wizard::wizard:That PT gets profoundly easier in a hurry :wizard:

Marci-everybody I know says PT is a pain but worth it!! Hope it gets better for you.

Ann Maire do you know how many Dole Whips you could have with that money?

Just sayin... :rolleyes1

I just got back from my intake appt. with the neuropsych. His office is only 10 minutes from my house. Very easy to get to. I gave him all of the info I had - test scores, report cards, medical history. DS goes next Monday for testing.

I saw the police officer who lives in the next building as I was leaving this morning. I asked him what was up. He said those officers were from a neighboring city, not DPD, so he wasn't 100% sure what was up with them. He THINKS they were after a robbery suspect who was rumored to be living with a girl from our complex or he is her boyfriend or whatever. :confused3 That sounds like the dude who was in the car with the roly-poly gang banger. Hmm...
At any rate, it has been pretty quiet since all those police were out there. I wonder if they would like to come back and sit out there all the time? The officer who lives there has been keeping his eye on things. He has noticed we are getting an increase in odd activity. Hopefully the leasing office will listen to him and it won't get out of hand.

This morning one of my coworkers was struck by a car. He was riding his bicycle to work at 4:30 this morning and a car did not give him room and struck his hand with the rearview mirror. This is no kid mind you, he is a 59 year old man riding a $5000 bicycle. He rides a lot, thousands of miles a year and gets hit about a mile from work. He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and by the grace of god he only has a laceration on his hand. The force actually broke the mirror right off the car and knocked him over. He was very very lucky, but it sure does go to show you how easy it is for even the safest biker to get hurt. He's out of work until next Tuesday as he can't get the stitches wet.

Glad to hear is is ok! When we lived in Ca. Gary rode his bike to work everyday. He got hit once & ended up with stitches in is head. It was scary, thankfully no bones were broken.

 I'm sorry your parents make you feel that way, Anne Marie. I'm glad you've come to terms with it though. For what it's worth, I think your priorities are right on track. :thumbsup2
Im sorry Anne Marie--family stuff is a pain sometimes!

Wow--glad he is okay!

We still do not know what is going on with Gary. The scope today showed nothing, which is good. The Dr. ordered a lot of different blood work & he has to take more urine samples in. He said he has 10 times more the amount of protein in his urine than he should, so this is still the Dr's concern. He said that he might have to refer with another specialist to get his opinions. So we wait a while longer, this is getting to be so frustrating :sad2:
