I can't believe how much I got done today. It must be the sunshine that has made me feel so much better. I went to church tonight, so in the morning I can lounge around. Then I went over to Kohls and exchanged some stuff and bought some others. I found some cute capris and summer tops on clearance for Alyssa. I think the most expensive thing I bought her was 4.50. Then I stopped at the grocery on the way home. I got Slumdog Millionaire from Redbox and my pizza is in the oven. I'm going to be settling in for the night.

Sounds like you had a wonderful, productive day!

Let me know what you think of the movie, I have been wanting to see that.

Jennifer & Becky thank you as well, I have been copying everyone's suggestions :thumbsup2

I had a great time Friday night and early yesterday morning with my girlfriends. Lots of chit chat til 2am. They both crashed here for the night and we had breakfast together before they left.

Then from there it was a day spent on the go. Lu & I picked up Em and her friend. We then hit the bank and then lunched at my parents house. My mom joined us and we then went back and picked up Mo (my in-laws kept her Friday night and I told them I'd be there at 11 to get her. Well, at 11 her and my MIL were still out) and headed up to Westminster (about 45 minutes from here) We met my sister and her kids up there and visited with Ms. Mildred. She lived next door to us when we were growing up and is like a grandmother to me. It was so good to see her and have her meet all 5 of the kids. From there we headed to downtown Westminster (it's a quaint little town with a Main street, I'd love to live there) to "The Peep Show"
It was a silly little thing where everything on display was made of Peeps

The girls loved it so I guess it was time well spent and it was free! After that we stopped at Target and did some shopping.

We got home around 7pm after picking up pizza and a movie, Bedtime Stories. The 4 girls and I hung out and had a great time. Em's friend got picked up around 9 and then it was off to bed. The girls camped in the living room (shh, don't tell them but I opted to sleep in my bed!)

This morning Em and I have a Girl Scout Mother Daughter brunch and then we are going to a Lilac festival with a fellow scout friend and her mom. My mo is coming over to watch Mo & Lu until Eric gets home.

Good Morning,

Jennifer, I just realized you had finished your trip report and went back to finish reading. I'm so glad things turned around and you wer able to have a wonderful trip, your pictures are too precious. I hate that we'll miss you by a day in October, but there's just no way I can extend our quick trip as I have tax reporting due at work on the 5th. :sad2:

Maybe another trip. . . .

Good Morning

The sun is shining here though the frost is still on the grass. I'm heading outside soon to get some work done around the house. Colby is already outside riding his bicycle:goodvibes

I hope everyone has a great day.

Morning.

And as I said yesterday its going to get cold again. :sad2:

I thought it was very good. Some scenes were difficult to watch, when it was about the kids. I even thought at one point that if the movie stayed that way I would not be able to get through it. But those types of scenes were few, and it turns out to be a love story, which I didn't know ahead of time.

That's cute, Robyn.

Did you say that Em was going to see Seventeen Again? Alyssa says she wants to see it, because she LOVES Zac Efron , but I'm waiting to hear from someone if it is age appropriate for her. I believe it's PG13, no?

So this might not fit what you are looking for, as it is an autobiographicalesque memoir from the author's life. But I really enjoyed The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. It was one of the last books I read recently that I did not want to put down.

There...I knew that I had read some books recently that wasn't young adult or mystery. The Glass Castle is one! Definitely one that was hard to put down.

The wood shed is moved and the lawn is raked and leveled out again. I need to get some grass seed sometime today. I've really only watched. I'm unexplainably exhausted. I have no motivation. I think I'm going to take a nap and hope that I can shake this soon. The family has moved to splitting wood now. I'll send Nick and Hunter out to help while I snooze.

Tammi and Robyn-sounds like you had wonderfully, busy, productive days yesterday.

Becky-honey, you need to slow down...I am afraid you are going to crash and hard.

I will also recommend The Glass Castle but I also read it 2 years ago. The Size 12 is Not Fat series is awesome. For scary...The Seance was awesome.

We watched Bedtime Stories last night, pretty good, not one I would want to own or watch more than once.

I think it will be about 60 today so I doubt the snow will be sticking around long.
