I got Leighanna's Easter dress done!

She looks so pretty in it! She had to show off her new "high heels" too!

We just got home from lacrosse. It was flurrying out :sad2: I want summer, not winter. Ugh

Hunter has finally opened up about what is bothering him. Apparently all of his close friends have started hanging out with a kid that gets into a lot of trouble and now they are getting into trouble too. He doesn't want to get in trouble so he feels isolated. I've suggested that he make friends with some of the girls and that he talk to the guidance counselor since he knows the kids and the teachers. He is also talking about switching teachers next year as there are things about his current teacher that he doesn't like. We want him to make sure that the other teacher doesn't have similar or worse things going on in her classroom. I hope the counselor can help with that too. I have also scheduled an appointment with his ped for Monday as I was concerned that he was depressed, which he very well could be considering what he has told me.

Deb, I'm glad Hunter is now sharing his feelings. It's hard being that age, but I'm very glad that he is wise enough not to be a follower. Perhaps if you heap mounds of praise on him for his good decision-making, that will make him feel better. Nicholas does not have many boy friends. He much prefers to hang with the girls, for the same reasons as Hunter, I assume. He really doesn't like rough-housing (unless it's with a grown-up) and all the other antics that boys do. I think he feels that girls are much calmer and just more pleasant to be around. He's got another thing coming when the hormone years hit!!! :rotfl: Also, remind him of the "grass isn't always greener" theory. I'd hate for him to switch and find that out too late. Good luck with everything. :wizard:

Very pretty, Tom. Alyssa got 'high heels' this year too! She has already been dancing around the house in them nightly.

I have such a short temper these days. I am not sure why. Although it is probably everything catching up with me. I also feel like I am getting sick. I am home lying in bed watching a movie. I should go find some food. I really need to clean but never seem to get to it.
You need to take a day and have some "me" time, Becky. What are you watching?

Thanks, Janet. I just need to learn to not worry about what I can't control. Unfortunately this issue is huge, having to do with the refinance. Evidently it's not going as smoothly as I anticipated, and now lawyers are involved. And when I feel like the walls are closing in on me, my way of dealing with it is to close myself off and hole up in my own little cave. Which is why I haven't been posting much. I miss it, so I need to break out of my shell and get back to my friends. :grouphug:

My girls just left for school...it's the last late start Wednesday of the school year. I am waiting until my last load is done in the washing machine (I could just see it malfunctioning because I left it :rolleyes1) and then I am off!! It is supposed to be beautiful again today (actually we are supposed to stay in the 50's and above for the forseeable future:cool1:)
Wow! It is so cold here! I am SO done with the winter weather!

I got Leighanna's Easter dress done!

:hug:Poor Hunter! Hope he can find some solutions to make things easier for him!:wizard:

Joe is much the same way. I nearly cried when I saw a form he filled out for 1st grade open house-it was something like my hair is brown, I have 2 sisters and no brothers-then I like to play ______ and most boys had baseball, football, ect... Joe had "nice". He hates rough-housing even with DH & I. He doesn't like team sports. I thought some sort of martial arts would be good for him but he doesn't want to do it. He's very much an intellectual-wants to read books, atlases, non fiction history and fact books. I fear he's got a few rough years ahead of him.

 for Hunter. good job on not being a follower.:wizard: for the teacher

This notebook computer thing is so confusing and SO frustrating! I thought I had the one I wanted all picked out but Dell is having a special this week and they said 2 more specials for the one I wanted were coming today so I wanted to wait to see those. Now that one is out of stock til May 6th. I want it before my trip.

SO....I decided on a cheaper one. Get home and there is a catalog from Dell in the mail and there is a great offer in that. I type in the special code and it comes up $100 more and different components. I decide to try Live Chat for the first time ever and the agent says let me check it out and after 5 minutes comes back and says 'sorry' sometimes things change.:headache: I told him I wasn't happy with my first impression of Dell. Now I'm not sure what to do.:confused3

Did you all get an email from Disney Visa with a 25% off photopass products when you spend $30 or more.

the code is 9VREWARD25

That is exactly how we are handling it and what I told him about the other teacher. I have also read all the nice things that you wrote as well as your kids stories and he was proud of himself and he was happy to know that other kids deal with the same issues  Thank you all so much for making this a little easier on him and for reassuring us :grouphug:

Tammi- I watched Knocked Up. It was alright and funny, although I could see it convincing teens, that if you end up pregnant everything will work out and you will stay with the guy.

Hugs to all of you with kids that might not fit in. Most people do not fit in to whatever mold might be out there. Just try and help them to be themselves, although I know sometimes they wish they will be like everyone else. Just remind them if everyone was the same it would be one boring world. I wish them luck in navigating the world around them.

Bernadette- Good luck with the laptop. I think the thing with Dell is they always have so many specials going on and it is a matter of navigating those specials to figure out the best deal and what is still working.

I swear that movie had the F word in it every other word. It seemed like they said to themselves "Let's see how many times we can use this word in one movie". It was horrible in my opinion.

I haven't seen that yet. I watched Milk a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Sean Penn did an amazing job.

Thanks for all the compliments on my tattoo!! I have wanted one for a LONG time and finally decided it's now or never.

I love this. So do you have a different flower for each girl? It looks like there are 3 flowers.

I had planned on getting a tattoo on my right foot last summer. Well then I broke it, and have never done it. I am still thinking I want a tattoo on my foot, but now on my left foot.

Becky, you're right. A flower for each girl, Emma is the mum, Molly is the sweet pea and Lucy is the larkspur. It's their birth month flower. Em's flower will be blue, Mo's pink and Lu's is, obviously, purple!

You should come down here and we can go together!! I think I am going to go back and get my left foot done with my birth month flower. And then I will be DONE!!!

I hope you can snap out of your funk...you've been going a long time at this breakneck pace..'s

Tammi-'s to you..

Deb-'s for Hunter..I am glad he opened up to you.

Tom- Great dress!!! Leighanna is so grown up.

Bernadette- Good luck with the laptop decision

I know I missed a bunch of you...:wizard:and 's

Emma and I just got home from WW's(this is the 1st week since Jan. that I posted a gain. It was only .6lbs but it was not a loss, I am sad :( but I will blame it on the fact that my foot is very swollen!! ) and martial arts, and dinner with her best friend and a few other errands.

I am headed to bed...exhausted and feeling a tad sick, which I do not have time for!

Have a great night, DDA!!!
