The flocking:

Rachel's youth group is doing a month-long fundraiser "flocking" yards. There are 2 flocks of 24 flamingos. Each night one of the families going on the summer trips takes the flocks and plants them in a church members yard. The next day, that member can call to arrange to make a donation for removal of the flock. They also get to choose who gets flocked next. Flock insurance is also available for those who wish to protect themselves from being flocked. So far it's been quite hilarious. I personally have several associates lined up to make sure the flock ends up in Kristi and Chris' yard once along the way. I've offered to make the donation for them since things are tight right now, but it's worth it to think of Chris finding the flamingos in their yard one morning!

That flocking is so cute!!!!! I think I'm going to make a pink flamingo shirt this weekend.

Yeah. I did get a few things, but mostly craft stuff. I did get a really cute giraffe mask for Terra new bedroom wall. It's an African style but the colors are lighter and it's a little cuter than really traditional versions so I think it will work well on the photo wall. The fabric was all just 40% off so I didn't get anything there. Once they move, I'll be able to do that often enough. I'll wait until later in the month and try again on the fabric front. They are moving to the old Bed Bath and Beyond location in the next shopping plaza over. Anything over $50 or so was being moved over with the rest, and all fabric, being liquidated.

Good news Janet.

The Dr's office just called & everything is ok He has a cyst on both Kidneys & they are nothing to worry about. He may have to go in for another urine test, but he is in the clear! Boy is that a weight off our shoulders.

Thank you all for the good thoughts & prayers. I knew deep in my heart that all would be ok, but you just never know.

I am so happy

ETA: He is being referred to see a urologist just to be sure all is well with the other issues.

Jen - My future SIL is a firefighter, so I definitely didn't mention anything in front of my DD.

We're going to the AFB open house tomorrow to watch the Thunderbirds, I haven't seen them since I was a young girl but I remember how cool they were.

The mask sounds great. I have a 20% off your entire order coupon for JoAnns for this weekend. I might have to try to go. I need some thread and my new machine will only take the expensive stuff-it is on sale plus I could use the coupon but I'm not sure it is worth the drive for that.

Yes it is! I hope to get quite a bit of sewing done this weekend but I better do our taxes first or DH will have a fit.
