What a long, horrible night. I ended up calling in sick to work which was a nightmare in and of itself, but that is another story. After taking a 4 hour nap today I was definitely not doing well. I decided to go to the urgent care center in hopes of getting some relief. I arrived there at 5:30 PM and wasn't seen by a doctor until 11 PM. It was ridiculous. I waited about 4 hours just to get brought back into a room where I was left, with not as much as an are you okay or can we get you anything? The nurse pointed to the room, I walked in and by the time I turned around she was gone and the door was shut. I waited about 45 minutes in total silence before I pulled the nurse call button. The nurse came in all irritated. I asked politely if she knew how much longer it would be to which she snidely said she had no idea and started out the door. I stopped her and asked for a drink as it had been at least 5 hours since I'd had anything to drink. She got me a cup of ice water and left again. 1 1/2 hours later the doctor came in for a total of 10 minutes. I have some sort of respirtory infection he wasn't concerned as to whether it was a sinus infection or broncitis as both are treated the same way. So I am on a Zpack now. I even managed to get them to give me the first dose there since my pharmacy closed at 9 PM and it was 11:10 PM by then. The witch of a nurse did not want to give me the meds, but the doctor insisted.

I really think that I need to write a letter of complaint to the hospital. No person should be left in a trama room and not checked on for prolonged periods of time, that is unsafe as well as inhumane.

I had a wonderful evening last night, the kids came over for dinner and afterwards Aubrey, Brandon, and I cuddled and watched The Incredibles. Both of them fell asleep, my DD took the baby home but Brandon just stayed here, he'll be surprised when he wakes up, but I'd bet money that he'll be asking for pancakes.

Deb - First I can't believe you stayed 4 hours sitting in a waiting room. That must be an indication of how bad you feel. You should not have been treated, or MIStreated, that way. I hope the zpack starts to help.
