DDA Chapter 19

So they thought my Dad was going to be coming home before Thursday of this week. Instead he went back into surgery today as some of the stitches tore out from coughing. The surgeon reinforced the stitches, hopefully he will have no further issues. He will probably not be coming home until next week now.

I am watching Biggest Loser, although I may head to bed instead as I am exhausted and could not sleep last night. I have the worst attitude about everything lately. I have no motivation to do anything. I have no idea why.

Glynis- Great pics! The party looked fun.

Gary- :wizard::hug: I hope it turns out to be nothing. Janet hang in there, try not to stress too much about it.

Jen- To share photopass pictures, I emailed the share email to myself. Then right clicked on the link in the email and clicked on copy link location. Then pasted that into the posting box on the DIS.

Vicki- Great suit. Hope the interview went well. Good luck with your decision.:wizard:

I had great intentions of individual posts but I'm afraid I would miss too many so please know that you all have my best wishes.

I'm totally blown away by what I saw at work yesterday. A 19 year old boy that once worked at the store, and I worked with his mother years ago when she passed away from an infection after gall bladder surgery, was getting a prescription at the pharmacy.

When I saw him I was in shock, he is completely yellow, I'm talking The Simpsons yellow, and his eyes are unreal. He told me that they initially thought he had hepititus, (sp?), but they found out that the steriods he had been taking, to bulk up, have caused liver problems, he said that he has actually improved.

I know that he's done this to himself, but please remember him in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully he will pull through and will have learned a very valuable lesson. He's had a rough life, he's never known his father, or even who he is, his mom died when he was around 5, his grandparents raised him, and even though they loved him very much I don't think they wer really up to raising a young boy at the time. He has two brothers, all three boys had different fathers, and they were all split up after his mom died.

I just can't get the picture of him so yellow out of my mind . . . .

Glynis - all your photos were wonderful! I hope Timothy is doing OK and you can get some sleep tonight

Thanks guys. I'm really torn about this interview. Of course, I want to do well and be the top pick. However, there is a side of me that wishes I would blow the interview so I wouldn't have to make the decision on my own.

You would be so mad at yourself if you blew this! Go get 'em, Vicki! :thumbsup2

Debbie - that is so sad and I bet it was scary to see.

Glynis great photos. I hope Timothy is feeling better soon.

Bernadette get some extra rest

Janet :wizard: for Gary

Vicki the suit looks great and I'm sure you will do fine with the interview. I suspect that it is merely a formality anyway :wizard:

Thanks, Deb. I think he's feeling better. He's got a cold, but it's not bad enough to worry the doctor about RSV. We're just watching him. He seems to be over the shot stuff now.

Glynis - looks like your house is a lot of fun lately. Does Leslie get to blow first since she is the oldest?

Thanks, Tammi! Usually, I put candles for Leslie on one end of the cake, and for Mary on the opposite end. However, with this one, there wasn't enough room for 14 candles. So, they took turns. Leslie was born 1 minute before Mary, so she went first. It was Mary's idea. She likes that she was born second.

Man it was freezing at the soccer game. I don't remember it being that could during the FOOTBALL games! Nicholas' team won, which was a pleasant surprise since they've only had 2 practices. The other 2 were called due to rain last week. The score was 3-2, and Nicholas got 2 of their goals. He was goalie for one quarter, and he save a shot or two. I hate when he's goalie. It makes me so nervous.

Hooray for Nicholas!

I think it's always worse on the mom! I hate to watch my kids perform. I get so jumpy!

Glynis - does this help you at all?

How very sad.

Good Morning DDA
I hope today finds everyone happy, healthy and motivated to do whatever needs to be done. Tammi pointed out that today is hump day, but that is exactly how I've been treating every day for the last few weeks...if I can get through today...:rotfl::rotfl: At least I've only got one job to get through today and other than running kids around I can get plenty of rest this afternoon and tonight:thumbsup2 I've got my fingers crossed that things are on the upswing anyway, but only time will tell.
