Nick is home from school with missing workk for both his brothers. I'll have them start it tomorrow since they really aren't up to it today. Colby overall seems much more lively today, if he could stay off the potty I think he's on the mend. Hunter is still just hanging out on the couch and he is feeling really weak. We had a nap this afternoon and their coughs were noticably quiter :cool1: The sun is even shining so maybe everything looks better in the warm sunlight:hippie:

I hope this means they are on the road to feeling better :wizard:

A little sunshine always helps :)

I guess I could figure out our points for our 2010 trip now. That would give me something to do.

We never eat out or get take out, but after the week we've had I went to Pizza Hut and got a pizza and pasta. It was delicious, so not on my diet, but it was nice not to have to cook.

I have decided I am not cooking tonight either. Garrett & I want Chinese, not sure what I will get for Gary & Riley.

Happy First Day of Spring!

Which means free Rita's Ice:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Get your talking in tonight, tomorrow morning and afternoon ladies.

From Webmaster Alex:
The boards will be shutting down at 10pm Eastern Time, tomorrow, Saturday March 21st for a major upgrade. I expect them to be down for 5 to 6 hours

I'm going to try to get some sleep. Both Chris and I are working tomorrow, hopefully the boys will feel better as my Mom is watching them. They have bowling in the morning provided they feel up to it.

So I got my free Universal ticket in the mail today. I do not know if I will get to use it or not.

If you are waiting for one, it looks like an advertising flyer from Universal. I was expecting it to be an envelope and it was not.

I just wanted to drop in and say hi before I headed off to bed. We had a lovely afternoon/evening. I left work a few hours early (to beat the Friday traffic mess) and got home in time to get the kids off of the bus. My mom was here to do it if I wasn't. Shortly after we walked in the door their dad called. He told them since Grandma was visiting that they could stay here tonight but he would pick them up around noon tomorrow. They still don't want to go, but hey, it's better than nothing. Alyssa had Tap tonight so Mom and Nicholas came along to watch, as we decided to go out to dinner afterwards. It was nice that my mom was there because Alyssa's class got their costumes for their spring show today, and after they tried them on they invited all the parents into the studio while the kids were practicing the dance. Alyssa LOVES her costume. We decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner, and ate until we were stuffed. They have the BEST cheesy biscuits. We came home and played Cranium, Uno and Old Maid. Now everyone is in bed, which is where I'm heading.

Goodnight!

I have to ask, what is wrong with giving children cough syrup? Heck I remember the doctor always prescribing cough syrup for my sister and I when we were kids.

I was going to ask the same thing and I am sure it has been answered by now. When I went to the Dr two weeks ago, he asked me if I still wanted some more cough medicine with codine so I could sleep at night. I said that by then I was only coughing when I got overheated so I didn't think I needed any more.

Heidi thanks for the heads up on the boards being down tomorrow night.

Tammi I am so happy to hear the kids were able to stay home tonight :goodvibes Sounds like you all had a good day!

Becky I received my US voucher last week. Now sure if I will be able to use it now :confused3

Deb I hope you all wake up feeling much better :wizard:

I do know this and it's at the forefront of my mind, but I want to thank you for being bold enough to say it. I'm waiting on a call from Kyle. As soon as she gets up from a (hopefully) good nap, we'll re-evaluate. She just had a nice, giant projectile bunch of mess all over my couch, and seemed to be energetic for about 0.4 seconds. It's naptime though, and also the day after a rough night's sleep, so it's hard to tell if her energy didn't last because she was truly tired, or if it didn't last because she's sick. I hope that made sense. Basically, I'm hoping she was acting wonky this morning because she needed to puke, and nothing more. We'll see when she gets up, I guess.

Thankfully, we can at least take one step before hospitalization. If I'm still concerned when she's up, the doctor has arranged a standing order at the local Children's hospital satellite (about 5 minutes from my house) to get bloodwork to see how her kidneys are keeping up. That way, we can avoid hospitalization if it's unnecessary, or be directly admitted (no going through the ER) if it is.

Thank you all for your prayers!

Jennifer, I hope as I continue to read that the girls are getting better. :goodvibes

Elizabeth - I hope your mom was able to visit with DS.

I was going to ask the same thing and I am sure it has been answered by now. When I went to the Dr two weeks ago, he asked me if I still wanted some more cough medicine with codine so I could sleep at night. I said that by then I was only coughing when I got overheated so I didn't think I needed any more.

I was prescribed cough medicine once with codeine when I had a really bad cough. The Dr. told me it would help me sleep, I was awake all night  I can't take anything with codeine now, gives me horrible headaches.

I am so annoyed now....

we have been battling carpenter ants for awhile. So Bill & I decide to buy this product and treat the situation ourselves. So it's this dust that goes into a bellows (a small can you squeeze with a long nozzle) I watch the instructional video....and off we go.

what a disaster...the stupid thing didn't work....Bill and I get into a huge fight and I am covered head to toe in this poisonous dust. So now I freak out....I start coughing....and am convinced I am going to die. Bill on the other hand informed me that it was in my mind!! :sad2:

So if you don't hear from me again....the ants won.

Kristine,,,sorry but I had to laugh at the thought of seeing you covered in the dust. But I am sorry you are in such a pickle.

We had trouble with carpenter bees and ants at different times. It was the worst when the bees were around. Such loud sounds when the bees were chewing the wood. Freaky!!!! It only took a few visits from the exterminator to get rid of the ants. Hal took care of the bees by himself. Just plugged up the holes they started and a good dose of spray.

Jennifer - I think your family deserves a break. Those poor little girls and their poor parents. I hope there is a turn-around today in their health. :grouphug:

Robyn - :yay: for NKOTB tix and boo for still-sick kiddlets. :(

Elizabeth - not another stye!! I feel so badly for you!

Tammi - What a snot-nosed brat your ex is being!

I will ditto but double ditto the last one!!!
