I decided to make an angel food cake today....and didn't realize that there is more than one size tube pans.:rotfl: My oven will get a cleaning before supper, to bad it can't tell me if the cake is good. :rotfl2:

This is exactly why I now find it cheaper to buy an angel food cake! The cost of oven cleaner, the wear and tear on my knees, my time spent making the cake and then scraping said cake off the oven floor. All those things make a home make angel food cake very expensive, and makes mom act more like a devil!

This is why I buy mine at the store or have my friend make one for me :rotfl:

Hope the oven is not to hard to clean up.

We are thinking alike :)

well it was less than a dollar for the mix and Jim has already said he would clean the oven (he always acts like nothing happened after arguments) so I don't have any wear and tear on my knees. I also hate the taste of the King Soopers Angel food cakes.

I think I might have to stop at Walmart tomorrow night and get some Angel food cake after all this talk about it. They sell a Strawberry one that is sugar free but does not have aspartame. I might have to pick up some strawberrys and cool whip as well.

that is my only problem.....I forgot to check to make sure we had some form of topping. :lmao:

I got Katie all registered for Jr. High today. It was kind of a bittersweet thing. She's really excited about things. Along with her required classes of English, Science, Utah history, Math, CTE, PE and Art she is also going to take Intermediate Orchestra, Choir, and Drama. If any of her electives don't come through, she chose Mythology, Dance and French I as her alternates. It just doesn't seem possible that I have a child old enough to be in 7th grade.

Now, I get to spend some time getting ready for the twins birthday on the 21st. They are going to have a cooking party, where their friends will come over, decorate aprons, make chef hats, make their own pizzas, put together fruit salad on skewers and watch Ratatouille. They are only inviting 6 friends, so it should be ok.
How exciting for Katie!

That birthday party sounds so cool!!!

So cute!!!!!!!

I hear there is a rumor that characters will be returning to LTT.
Wonder if bookings dropped? Will they be the same?

HA!

The girls are totally showing off their "medals" in the post-race photo! :rotfl: :teeth:

So cool!!! Welcome home!

Well, I had better go get my sleepover girls dressed and ready. We've got to head to Kristi's as soon as the baby gets here. Then, I've got to go to Target to get set up for my new job there. Nothing too exciting, just the comp shopper position. Rachel's friend's mom is the assistant for HR and had been doing it, but it was too much for her on top of her regular work. So, she called and asked me if I wanted to take the position. It's 4-8 hours per week depending on the list so not a lot of money, but it will be totally earmarked for Disney! Plus, I'll get the employee discount at Target which will help some too.

After that, I think we're taking the kids to the mall, Kassie may get her ears pierced and then who knows what else. Just some general merriment to celebrate the first day of spring break.

Mom, Rachel, Kassie and Chase are heading to Oklahoma on Sunday and Erin, Brendan, Kaylin, Connor, Terra and I will follow on Thursday. (Plus, Kristi in a crazy StLouis to Austin to Oklahoma then home.) My cousin is deploying to Iraq in early April so we're all going down for a family gathering while he's on his pre-deployment leave. We'll all be back on Sunday. So, if I disappear in the craziness of trying to get us all ready to go, that's why.

For now I'd better get our Girl Scout cookies all figured out so we can wrap that up. Catch you all later.
Your Target job sounds great-will you put the money you save due to the discount into Disney savings?

Enjoy OK!

Hey guys. A quick pop in for a prayer and pixie dust request. Chris called as we were all leaving Target this morning to tell Kristi that he got laid off at the Mini dealership. They have still been getting 3-4 sales per person per month the last month or two so this was a shock. Poor Kristi is about to lose it. She went to pick him up as he was driving a demo. I'm not sure what his next step will be. He may apply to the police department or who knows. Luckily, Kristi got good news from her doctor this morning that her wrist looks good. He'll check it again in June.

Thanks everyone!
So sorry!:wizard:

Mine is home from Nov. - March ;)

God Bless you!!!:goodvibes

Let me see...

Beth- I hope Laura is feeling better.

Jennifer- How cute are your 2 girls posing with their medals!! :goodvibes

Marci- I hope work picks back up for you. :wizard:

Tia- Lots of :wizard: for Kristi and Chris. :wizard: Sorry to hear about Connor's stitches.

Amy- I love Noah's pics. The close up of him in the hooded towel just melts my heart, so cute!!!

Tammi- I'll bring the sprinkles and toppings Easter morning! ;)

I am drawing a blank, I swear I've read it all. :wizard: and 's all around.

Mo woke up this morning still running a fever. So I called for an appt and had to make them fit her in as they had no appointments. It's amazing though that it took less time today then when we actually have an appt. But anyway, Mo has an ear infection and bronchitis. Thankfully, it hasn't slowed her down. But the cough medicine has, allowing her a few zzz's.

I've got pizza in the oven and once that's done we'll pop Beverly Hills Chihuahua in. Then it's an early bedtime for the girls.

Tomorrow, we have to finish up moving the basement around and getting a few other things done around the house. Then, Eric and I are going to an Oyster and Bull Roast for the Boy Scout troop. All 3 girls will go over to Emma's friend's house for the evening. Eric and I are looking forward to a
night out with a bunch of friends.

Have a great evening!!

So I am thinking with some help from picking Elizabeth's brain that it would e easier to probably get 2 people that are willing to rent points at OKW. then 2 at AK
There is a thread of people renting their points under the DVC section of the DISboards.

okay I think I know the answer. But, if I rent points we can not do the dining plan right? I was planning on getting tickets from undercover tourist already.
I thought you could still do DDP.

:wizard: Poor Mo!!! Hope she's feeling better soon!

myEmma wasn't feeling well this morning and I pretty much told her to buck up. DH thought she felt warm-I didn't-but she had a temp of 101.2. Poor kid! She was complaining of an upset tummy so we didn't give any motrin or anything. I called and he said she's been pretty quiet on the couch all day but thankfully not vomiting. He said the school nurse called to see where she was (he had called) and she told him that strep was going around. She hasn't complained about a sore throat at all. We'll have to keep an eye on her.

It's really good with chocolate syrup drizzled over it and the berries. Just a thought.:)

Well, I haven't been posting much lately. Been in a bit of a funk. I wasn't sure why until I looked at the calendar. Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 77 years old today.

Apparently, my husband is more on top of things than I usually give him credit for. He called me a few minutes ago to let me know that he and I are going out to celebrate my mom's birthday. He's taking me out to dinner. What a guy, huh?

So, I guess mom's birthday is the reason I'm feeling a bit blue. I know I'll get over it, but this first one is especially hard. Maybe I'll have Alan pick up a pizza for the kids on his way home, so they can celebrate, too.

 to you
:woohoo: for Alan

I'm sorry, what was the question? :rotfl2:
The things to remember about DDP are no appetizer and no tip, plus the fact that a signature place will cost you 2 TS. And you tip on top of the full cost of your meal. The TiW basically knocks the tip off of all of your TS & alcohol.

Oh, I didn't need help with that mundane stuff! :rotfl: I needed you to brainstorm the cost differentials between strictly TiW + OOP vs. TiW + DDP during the F&W Festival. I know I can do it but I figured your brain always works that way so it would be more fun and faster to do it together! ::yes:: :rotfl2:
