AllEarsNet's newsletter is just full of stuff this week (and I am just getting around to reading it! :upsidedow )

Central Florida News 13 reports that GM, current sponsor of Epcot's Test Track, and Disney have not been able to come to terms on a new contract.

Good morning, I am back :) I am going to try & catch up so I can read about what has been going on while I have been away.

For the most part I had a wonderful time, the weather was beautiful(freezing here now lol). I was able to meet up with Becky a few times but am saddened that I did not get to meet up with Vicki or Jennifer :guilty:

Will post more later, hope all is well with everyone!

:confused3
Hmmmmm, I have read rumors that they may make TT into a Cars type ride. I like TT as it is so I hope thats not true.

Welcome home, Janet! I hope you and Gary had a restful vacation. Can't wait to hear about it! How was CSR?

Good morning....

  No Eric today!!!

Becky- Welcome Back!

Janet- Welcome Back!

Beth- Congrats on getting your application finished! I hope the meds continue to help. My theory on allergies is that they cause all sorts of trouble! Not very scientific but, true nonetheless in this house.

Theresa- :wizard: hope your feeling better.

Tammi- :cool1: for completing the Science Fair Project!

Elin- We definitely need to plan a date.

hmmm maybe toyota could sponsor it and we could get backdoor passes or something

Welcome back Janet. I can't wait to read about your trip :cool1:

It's another slow day at the pool. I just opened a diet pepsi to get some caffeine. I need to stay awake.

Welcome back Janet! I can't wait to hear about your trip. I hope you and Gary had a great time.

I need some advice from those of you who have planned longer Disney trips (Anne Marie, Elizabeth, to name a few). We've got nine days planned in August. I am trying to do our itinerary and am so used to planning to be at a park at rope drop. Also, our trips are usually 5-6 days, so I pretty much plan something for everyday. But now I feel like I must slow down, stretch things out, sleep in and go later in the day, stay up later, have a non-park day. How do you do this, plus still make your ADRs? I've made a list of where I'd like to eat, but I have to somehow fit them into a schedule.

ETA: I take that back. I just checked and my waitlist for BLT came through, so now we will arrive on the 9th. We'll be there 8 days, not 9.

Do either Citricos or Narcoosee's have Wishes viewing like CG?

We have done 10 day trips before and have gone commando-style as well as taking it easy. We prefer easy. I always get up and go into the parks and when the kids were younger they did too. Not so much any more!

So, if my kids were the age of yours, my touring style would be to get up early to hit the parks, come back to the room in the middle of the day for R&R including pool time and naps, then head out to dinner and back to a park.

There is very little viewing of Wishes from Citricos but you can go out on the deck at Narcoossee's to see the show.

Now that our fall trip is less than 7 months out I am thinking about renting DVC points for the Food & Wine trip. We could stay in a BCV studio much more cheaply than a room at BC and even paying for our own food would be cheaper than the Bounceback package we have booked through WDW now. I have emailed my friend who almost always has "leftover" points to see if she has any available.

In my dreams I would love to do an AKLV-CL stay, but I am betting those have been booked for months!

Welcome home, Janet! :)

It makes me giggle too!!!:rotfl:

DH's should NOT be allowed to stay home 6 days in a row. That's just wrong.

YAY for BLT!!
Sleeping in is the kiss of death in the summer because of the crowds. We still do rope drop every single day.
You can't see anything from Citrico's because it faces the wrong way. I have heard you can see Wishes from Narcoosee's, but I don't think Wishes starts until 10 PM most nights. I am also not sure if people stack up at Narcoosee's like they do at Cali Grill - people who have an ADR at like 7 PM and then refuse to leave until the fireworks are finished. We are actually skipping Cali Grill this time.

Tammi - I did leave one morning pretty much open. We'll go to DTD, have lunch at Puck's, take a break in the afternoon, then go to AK for PM EMH so DH can take pictures. The rest of the days are scheduled pretty tight.

I have a request in for Cape May on Friday 8/14 at 6 PM for a party of 19.
Tammi - 4
Robyn - 5
Anne Marie - 5
Us - 3
Debbie - 2 (Just in case!)
Hopefully that will give us time to get in and back out early enough to go see whatever after dinner (IllumiNations, Fantasmic, etc.) I THINK it should be a night they are doing Fantasmic, so if anyone is trying to get to that hopefully you will make it! :)

This sounds like so much fun. I wish we could make it work out for us to join you, but... not this time. I know you all will have a ball!

And Tammi... :cool1: :dance3: :cool1: for BLT!
